Chapter 18 - Time Flys. [Part II]

Hale and Dia was asleep this morning. Martha was at her castle. Martha was busy preparing some skill's for Hale to use.

Since he cannot use Mana, he would probably join the Knight Academy. Like the Knight Academy, Mages also attended an academy, called the Mage Academy.

At those academy's, Mages and Knights could learn plenty of skills and spells that are useful to help them in combat, against powerful enemies.

Hale and Dia had woken up. And they had breakfast ready to start a new day. Tommorow it's their sixth birthday, so many more gifts awaits them.

Hale fed Eggy some of his Qi. Although it never hatched as yet. Spirit-pets are amazing. They can feed on any energy and are not picky when being fed. But this lasts just for now, as they will consume much more after they hatch.

Hale went outside to do his basic routine. Dia joined him shortly after. "Mother always say we need to become stronger very fast. Why is that so?" Hale asked Dia.

"I do not know. How would I know, what Mother is thinking?" Dia answered him ruefully. She also wanted to know, but when she asked Diana, all they ever got was extra training.

Martha appeared behind them like a ghost. Dia and Hale was alarmed.

"Morning Dia and Hale. I'm leaving you with some skills, Hale. Learn them wisely. We will meet again. I'm afraid I have to part with you all. My abode will disappear as well, so don't go looking in there." Martha handed the skill scroll's to Hale. And explained her sudden leave.

"Aunt, you leaving so soon?" Dia looked sad. She started to like her aunt.

"Yes, my little beauty. I have to leave because something has come up. This is farewell, for now. I hope to see you again, when you grow up much powerful and beautiful." Martha was saddened by Dia's sad look. Martha touched her small nose and patted her head gently.

"We won't meet for such a long time, until we grow up?" Dia exclaimed. Hale and Dia was about to cry. Martha hugged them and a kiss landed on their faces.

She left afterwards, to explain to Diana about her sudden departure. Diana was used to her quick visits and long travels. She understood that it's really something important, if she is in such a hurry.

"Keep safe sister." Martha bade farewell to Diana and disappeared in the wind.

Dia and Hale was saddened, but they quickly snapped out of it. They celebrated their birthday's the next day.

Martha left them some accessories, such as clothes and armour, that can expand to suit their size at any age. It was really strong armour. But it's protective function was more or less weaker than a Black-Knight's armour.

Knights also followed the same power level as the Mages. They started from White than leveled up to Black, Red, Purple, Orange, Cyan, Gold, Silver and Violet Knights. This is the nine levels in becoming a Knight and Mage until they reach the Magus or Knigus level.

Other than strict training and learning, they had some fun and learned basic responsibilities. Time flew by really fast. They both began to grow and experience the wonders of life. Their simple living was about to end. They are finally going to head out for their first adventure, after they reach ten years of age.

Three years had passed by.

Hale learned all the skills, that Martha had given him. Hale had amazing learning and comprehension ability. Everything he learned was exceptionally put into use, whether that was hand-to-hand combat or a simple walk.

Hale learned great footwork skills and sword stances, that Martha had developed for him. With using the Qi, he could already strengthen his body and fist, to punch a hole in any hard wood.

Hale was already at the fourth thread of the Body-Threading Realm. He had successfully entered the Body-Threading Realm, according to the cultivation knowledge he had gained.

Each realm of cultivation was split into 10 levels. Each level represents a thread. Those threads represent the vessels that Qi flows into. Hale had already succeeded in opening four vessels for the Qi to travel in, the fourth thread. Qi vessels are microscopic in the body, almost like threads.

Hale must achieve in controlling the Qi into new vessels. Which will than open, and make his body stronger and allow him to utilize more power. Thus, he will finally achieve a new level.

Each realm will open 10 new vessels for the Qi to enter, making him more and more powerful, as he achieves more success.

Dia was already a Red-Cloak Mage, at the age of seven. She was already half way through the many skill books she gained. She read the Grimoire, thrice already. She didn't understand that much of it, but she already memorized the entire book. She could also recall everything perfectly as it's written in the Grimoire.

Eggy never hatch as yet, which is three whole years of feeding. The egg needs more energy than what was expected, this also excited Hale even more. He believed that the more energy it needs, the more its going to be an awsome pet.
