The Knock-Up Stream

The further we sailed east, the darker the clouds soon began to become.

We had been sailing east for about a day and a half now, I had especially ordered the crew to slow down the pace so that we could have more time to observe the sea to detect any abnormal activities within the sea. The sea was slowly but surely beginning to become turbulent, but there weren't any signs showing that there was going to be a gigantic geyser coming up any time soon.

However, the signs were there, so we kept sailing slowly; and the crewmates were always on alert, keeping there eyes peeled for anything weird. I was currently sitting on a barrel smoking while I had my axe to my side. Pato was grumbling about Stussy, who had now released him and was busy making tea for herself.

I could feel the winds slowly beginning to pick up, I immediately used my Observation haki to detect any changes within the sea. However, it was nothing concerning, so I immediately released it, and continued smoking quietly as I enjoyed the view in front of me. Unfortunately, good things had a tendency to come to an end, and the ending to this brief moment of quietude was a transponder call from Marco and Jozu.

Pato looked on curiously and snuck himself nearby so he could eaves-drop on the call I picked up.

"Boris! It's been a while, how've you been?" Marco brightly greeted.

"Nothing much really, just getting some materials for my new ship."

"I heard, I'm kinda jealous, but I won't complain. Jozu's here as well!" Marco replied.

"Hello, Older brother," Jozu greeted.

"Jozu, how many times do I gotta tell you? You don't gotta call him that, it's weird," Marco chided him.

"But we call Whitebeard, who isn't our biological father, father," Jozu protested.

"It's weird to call him that, you know?" Marco countered.

"Any reason as to why you're calling me? It's rare for you guys to call without reason," I interrupted them.

"Oh, that's right! Pops wanted us to tell you something!" Marco exclaimed, "Jozu tell him. I kinda forgot the details of it."

"Pops wanted us to tell you that we might find ourselves getting involved with the war between Shiki and Big Mom soon," Jozu reported.

"What brought this on? The reason that they're fighting to begin with is because they want to attack us,"

"That is true, but this war of theirs has directly began to affect our territories. We got multiple reports that some islands that we claim got raided by both pirate groups. Matter of fact, we are heading out after this so that we can resolve it," Jozu replied.

"That's troublesome," I commented.

"Yeah, so Pops wants you to come back soon. He doesn't really feel like we're going to use the full force of the Whitebeard Pirates, but it never hurts to stay aware," Marco commented.

"Well, that's good to hear, but why didn't I get this on the news?" I asked curiously.

"Well, that's the Marine's doing," Jozu interjected, "Apparently the marines are beginning to get involved because they're conflict trashed some of the World Government affiliated nations."

"They aren't directly attacking us though," Marco interrupted, "They're just protecting their affiliates, so there's nothing that we're going to do about that."

"Fair enough," I replied, "thanks for informing me, and make sure to keep me informed."

"No prob! See ya!" Marco finished before hanging up.

I sighed as I put the transponder snail away, but I could still hear Pato's breathes as he remained hiding nearby.

"Captain! We're getting some strange movements within the sea!" Ken announced.

I immediately spread my Observation throughout the ship's surroundings as I looked for any Abnormal activities. Sure enough, there was something building up on the surface of the sea, and it looked like it was going to explode.

"Quick, direct the ship towards that area over there, and immediately after brace for impact!"

"Yes, Commander!" Ken immediately responded as he had the rest of the crew begin to set the ship up for the geyser.

The temperature around our surroundings was slowly beginning to rise as the pressure beneath the sea kept building up. The ship also began trembling as a result, Stussy immediately grabbed Pato and leaned towards the buildings that belonged to the cabin of the ship.

It was then, something humoungous surged from the bottom of the ship. We were immediately thrusted upwards at a heart-stopping speed. The pressure that was exerted from the sudden movement immediately immobilized the entire crew, and we immediately lost control of the ship.

We needed to regain control of the ship immediately, because the Knock-Up Stream immediately tilted our ship upwards as the geyser kept going up. Now we were doing nothing else than riding the momentum, and even that was soon going to come to an end, if we didn't find a way to stabilize the condition of the ship.

I immediately leaped back and summoned wings from my back and lifted the ship from the rear. I wasn't pushing it because the momentum of the ship was doing that work for me. However, the ship was having a tendancy to almost steer off the geyser. So my current priority was to keep control of the ship.

I could see the White clouds of heavens slowly approaching the further we ascended. I knew that I was going to have to steer it directly on the deck of the ship instead of what I was currently doing. The clouds contained massive amounts of seawater, and it was going to be challenging to keep controlling the ship like that through moonwalking alone.

I immediately dashed back to the deck of the ship and took control of the steering wheel. The crewmates were slowly beginning to get a bearing of their surroundings the more time lapsed. Stussy was still pinned to the wall holding Pato desperately. Her entire outfit was wet, meaning that she had been soaked with seawater while all of this was happening, and it was obvious that she wasn't going to be useful for a little while, and Pato was on the same boat as well.

Ken struggled to get back on his feet, but he eventually did, and he started moving towards the wall of the ship so that he could get better stability on the ship. The steering wheel of the ship was on the verge of breaking by how much it was trying to spin. However, I retained a firm grip on the steering ship, and continued to do so even when we went through the clouds.

Eventually, we managed to break through the surface of the cloud sea. The violent change in pressure immediately tossed the Stussy, Ken, Pato and the crew mates violently upwards, before violently slamming it downwards.

We took a bit of time to catch our breathes soon after everything had settled down. To be fair, it was their first time going through such an experience, so it was only logical for us to take an hour or two to regain our bearings to the new environment.

However, when we managed to catch our breathes, it was once again taken away at the view that immediately entered our vision when we looked on.

Let me know what y'all think!!

Love y'all!!!!!!!
