Negotiations & Settlements

[ Third Person POV ]

Tottoland, Big Mom's Castle

Charlotte Linlin slowly sat on her throne as her homies tended to her wounds. She was still fuming over all that had happened during the battle. Pretty much nothing had gone to plan from the beginning of the battle.

Shiki had completely moved towards a different area that had been far from where she had been fighting. So she couldn't even offset some of the pressure that the Whitebeard Pirates had been putting on her forces. At the end of the day, Whitebeard had almost killed her as well.

"That bastard has gotten even stronger compared to his time with Rocks..." Linlin gritted her teeth as she promptly crushed a handrest on her throne.

Linlin's children were all slowly gathering and beginning to assess the amount of damage that had occured during the fight. It would take a while before they could fully restore the town, but it would cost quite a bit from her side. However, that wasn't much for her to worry about.

She instantly began to notice something amiss as a foreign presence slowly began approaching the castle. The presence only getting closer as more and more people began yelling at whoever the presence was to leave. It was obvious that they were ignored, however.

The door slowly opened, revealing the figure that had caused disruption within her castle. The figure slowly emerging from the shadows.

The person in question had dark grey dreadlocks that were tied in a bun that slowly fell down on his shoulders. His eyes though dark, held a strange void within them, almost as if they were going to sink you in. Dawned in casual clothing, he wore sandles along with a large open zipped hoodie that almost reached his knees. A huge axe rested on his back as he puffed a bit of smoke out of his mouth.

Linlin already knew the identity of this individual, and hated every fiber of his being.

The Vice-Captain of the Whitebeard Pirates was notorious for his power, and even more notorious for his careless attitude. Be it marine, be it World Government, the moment they crossed his radar; a fight was sure to be happening next.

"What do you want, brat?!"

"I'm here to talk, if only for a moment," Boris replied, "I think you already know what I'm here for so let's not make small talk, eh?"

"I have no intention of negotiating with a mere Vice-Captain! Bring that old bastard here, then we talk!" Big Mom snapped venomously.

"I know, but I'm simply here to make sure that you don't back out of said negotiations," Boris said. He then took another drag out of the cigarette he was smoking before throwing it to the ground and stomping it out.

"Hmph! What do you take me for, a coward?!" Charlotte asked sarcastically. However, her question was met with silence.

...

"This brat...!" Linlin slowly let out some of her Conqurer's haki as she bore down on Boris.

The doors immediately burst opened as Linlin's children immediately flooded in and surrounded Boris in an instant. Leading them was Linlin's second child, and rather the most favored one compared to the rest.

"Boris! What are you doing here?! Do you wish to start another war with the Big Mom Pirates?!" Katakuri asked with a menacing tone.

"Calm down, I'm not here for a fight," Boris raised his hands with an aloof expression.

"Then leave! You aren't welcome here!!" Perospero demanded with a cold tone, he already had his cane ready for any sudden happenings that would have come from Boris.

"That can't happen, not yet, anyway," Boris replied before taking out his transponder snail and dialing a number.

"Old man, when are you going to get here? The quicker we can negotiate with them the faster we can get out of here," Boris asked.

"Where the hell are you, brat?! Since when did you decide to go to Linlin?! Get back here now!" Whitebeard boomed through the phone.

"Don't be like that, Old man, we need to sue for peace to establish a policy out here in the New World, you know?" Boris asked casually.

"That doesn't matter to me, brat! Just make sure that the rest of the children are making their way back to the ship!! Roger has already left! What the hell makes you think that he wanted anything to do with her?!" Whitebeard's voice was slowly getting more annoyed as time passed.

"Whatever, Old Man," Boris responded before hanging up.

Boris hanged up and let out a small sigh before turning back to Big Mom.

"The Old man is getting soft as time passes. I guess that's a good thing.....maybe?" Boris commented thoughtfully as he took out another cigarette and lighting it.

"You heard your captain, leave!" Katakuri said coldly, trident in hand as he prepared himself for a possible fight.

"Well, I guess I should, but before I go..." Boris let out his Conqurer's haki, the pressure immediately pressing down on the entire castle as everyone, Big Mom excluded, froze on the spot.

"I feel like you've been getting a little too willful lately, Linlin..." Boris said aloofly, quietly walking past the frozen Katakuri, who struggled to release himself from the paralyzation.

"Do you think that this is enough to scare me? Just how much do you underestimate me, brat?!" Linlin roared as she let out her own Conqurer's haki.

Lightning with hues of silver and pink began to dance about as the two individuals stared each other down. The pressure of the Conqurer's haki seemed to be equal at a normal person's view, but if one had attained Advanced Observation haki, Boris' Conqurer's haki was clearly bigger than her's; however she was still able to put up a big fight in return.

"I'm not trying to....just a warning. I'm going to let you off this time, but...." Boris said, his Conqurer's haki slowly grew more stronger as he glared at Linlin sharply, "the next time you pull shit like this off, I'll make sure that it'll be the last thing you do. Alive."

With that, an even bigger wave of Conqurer's haki eminating from Boris knocked out the remaining pirates who were still standing. Even Katakuri got down on his knees at the increase of pressure.

Fortunately, that was all that Boris did, he quietly left the castle without saying anything else.

Big Mom could do nothing but continue to grit her teeth as she watched him exit the premises. Even she shuddered a bit upon feeling the sudden outburst of Conqurer's haki, and she immediately concluded that it would literally take everything that she had to take him down.

A risk that she had no certainty of taking without adequate preparation.

She looked down on her children who were currently passed out, and other's who struggled to wake up. Katakuri clutched his head as he helped his siblings get up from the ground. She would have to notify the Big Mom pirates not to mess with Whitebeard's territory for a while, just until she had a bullet proof plan for taking down Boris and Whitebeard.

Prometheus and Zeus, who had been quiet throughout the entire incident, popped out from nowhere and looked worriedly at their creator. They were smart enough not to stick around the moment they saw him, and wanted no part in it.

Linlin ignored the duo, and continued to think about future plans that she would have to set up for the Whitebeard Pirates.

I just started working on a project that I won't release in the near future. There's one project I want y'all to read first before you get to it. I'm kind of excited for it, but I'm also excited for the next one I have in store for y'all.

Love y'all!!!
