A History That Should Be Forgotten

[ Third Person POV ]

World Government Ship

The World Government Agents rushed about as the World Government Fleet made its way back to Mariejois. They had just finished an operation to bury one of the Historical Poneglyphs that had been located by the Aegis Cypher Pol.

When the news of its discovery had reached the ears of the Five Elders, they were planning to send the Marines to perform a retreival operation on the island. However, the more details that they heard about it, the more concerned they started to get.

It had all started when the CP0 agents found it, there were strange markings within the poneglyph. This was to be expected as its details were foreign to the world. However, the Five Elders were immediately summoned. They all looked at each other strangely before making their way deeper into the building.

It was a throne room of some sorts. Abandoned and empty for the most part, but the only thing that really stood out was a grandious throne that was placed high within the room. On it, sat a tall figure that was cloaked in darkness. The only thing that gave the figure a human like image was its almond like eyes with red irises. On the figure's head, lay a large crown with four spikes, and the figure donned a long robe that reached the floor.

The Five Elders immediately knelt before the figure sitting on the throne. Neither one of their heads dared to look up to the figure sitting on the throne, indicating how much they feared and respected this mysterious figure.

"The Poneglyph.....is to be sunk into the sea. Don't bring it here," The figure ordered.

The Five Elders immediately responded in ovediance before making their way back to their meeting rooms. No word was said among them till they all took their respective seats, and ensured that there wasn't anyone else listening in the conversation.

"The fact that Our Lord had to summon us and give this order sets a priority in making the Poneglyph dissapear." Saint Warcury started.

"Indeed, we need to make sure that the Poneglyph dissapears completely. Never to see the light of day again." Saint Nusjuro hummed in agreement.

"From the get-go the Poneglyphs were never meant to be released. The history of the World is something that we should continue hiding till the end of time." Saint Mars agreed.

"Then, to make sure things go as planned, one of us needs to go and ensure that the Poneglyph sinks into the sea," Saint Ju Peter proposed.

The rest of the Five Elders hummed in agreement to Saint Ju Peter's suggestion. After all, if there was a job that was needed to be done right. It would be better to handle it personally.

"Then, I propose to go, I need more slaves for my experiments anyway," Saint Jaygarcia Saturn volunteered.

He was infamous for having different experiments that were cruel and fatal for humans. However, he never seemed to stop there. He would experiment on everything that seemed to have sentience. He was a very sadistic individual.

The rest of the Elders didn't seem to oppose Saint Saturn's decision. Saint Saturn immediately departed and started to make preparations for the departure.

However, before he could leave to start the operation, Saint Warcury seemed to have an inquiry;

"What of Whitebeard? Isn't this island within his territory?"

"What of him?" Saint Nusjuro asked back.

"We all know that he will not take this attack lying down, we have been antagonizing him quite a bit recently," Saint Mars added in.

"If Whitebeard wants to go to war, then we will give him one. Although we want to preserve the balance of the world, Our Lord's orders take precedent above everything else," Saint Nusjuro argued.

"Agreed, there is probably some history that Our Lord doesn't want to be found. Some things aren't meant to be found, for the sake of Our Lord, we need to make sure it stays as such," Saint Ju Peter agreed.

"We can leave this topic up for discussion in the future, and we will respond accordingly to what Whitebeard does. Let's inform the Marines as well," Saint Saturn resolved. This motion led to all the Elders agreeing to it.

Soon, Saturn made his way towards the island to sink it. However, they discovered a minor setback towards their plan.

Initially, Saturn had sent scouts into the island so that they could confirm that the Poneglyph was located there. However, they not only found the Poneglyph, but they had also found a ship docked on the opposite side of the island from which they currently were. They immediately informed the Saint, who ordered the ship to be sunk and its occupants killed immediately.

The World Government agents immediately went after the ship. Since the Bombardment of the island was inevitable. The World Government ships were already on their way to surround the island. They immediately sent individuals to search within the island to find anyone within it and kill them.

However, when the ships completed the encirclement of the island, the ship that was supposed to be there was already on its way out of the island. Moreover, the federal agents that were sent to monitor the ship, were all either unconcious or very close to death.

Saint Saturn, upon seeing this, immediately ordered for the closest ships to chase down the fleeing ship. The World Government agents immediately complied and sent orders to those ships. Meanwhile, Saint Jaygarcia passed the order to bomb the island. It didn't matter whether or not a couple of ships were missing because there were plenty of more ships to substitute them.

Consequently, the island's surface ended up in flames as a result of a couple of hours of bombing. After a sever rumbling coming from the island, the island soon began to sink in the sea. The poneglyph would soon be lost to the currents of the sea. Its history known to none, except maybe that ship that was currently fleeing the World Government fleet. Saturn immediately divided the fleet in two segments.

One half was to invade a nearby island and procure some more slaves for the Saint's experiments. While the other half was to join the pursuing fleet to sink the fleeing ship. Saint Saturn joined the fleet that was going to raid the island to procure slaves, he wanted to hand-pick the ones he wanted to experiment on.

Nico Olvia's Ship

"We need to ditch the fleet that's onto us! Raise the sails!" Nico Olvia immediately shouted as she hung up her transponder snail.

Boris had told her to get rid of the ships following her so that they could meet somewhere discreet. She wasn't sure whether he would help or not, but Boris was one of the few people that she knew could help her out in this situation. Especially since that they were still within Whitebeard's territory.

However, her attempts to flee the World Government Fleets were proving to be futile because they were still on to the ship. They immediately released cannon fire upon the ship, they missed for the most part. However, there were few cannon balls that would hit vital parts of the ship.

Nico Olvia's ship didn't have any cannonballs to fire back. So the best that they could do was to try and dodge the cannon fire coming their way. It took a while, but the World Government fleet was slowly beginning to lose them because of the sudden storm that they had approached. However, this ushered a new problem for Nico Olvia and her crewmates. Water started to flood in within the damaged parts of the ship, leading to the ship to start sinking prematurely.

Luckily, the ship's navigator managed to find an island that they could dock so that they could regroup. They didn't know whether or not it was populated, but they had no time to worry about that. The crew immediately started directing the ship towards the shores of the island. They had just barely managed to reach the shores when lighting struck the damaged hull of the ship. The crew immediately packed all the essentials before boarding a boat and leaving the sinking ship.

Nico Olvia could only watch as the remnants of the ship dissapeared within the chaotic currents of the sea. They had luckily managed to secure all their photos and notes about the poneglyphs. However, they had lost a lot more information about other discoveries as a result. Nico Olvia quickly redialed her transponder snail to call Boris and update him over the situation.

I'm getting mixed reactions towards the war thing, but I sort of get what y'all want to see.
