On Halloween, a group of kids decides to go inside an old abandoned mansion to see if it's haunted and end up getting scared out of their minds by all sorts of monsters and ghosts. While inside, the kids meet up with a talking cat and jack-o-lantern who try to protect them from the spirits and try to convince one of them to read a spell from a book to get rid of the ghosts.

The kids and Violet chased after Mike, and when Mike got to the door, he opened it and saw the sludge monster behind it. Then the beast shape-shifted into a bat and scared Mike. Mike fell to the floor while the monster flew above his head and watched him scream. Then Emma used a net from the closet to catch it. Once he got caught, the beast shape-shifted into a tall tree and tore the net. Then it shape-shifted back into itself and saw Sam holding the spell book. The monster got mad when he saw Sam with that book, so it shape-shifted into her mother and walked up to her. Sam screamed because she was afraid of her mom.
