Racheal prayed silently for them to leave from there.
In the next instance she was pulled out of her hiding place before colliding into lycan's chest.
Lycan stared down at the lady fidgeting in front of him, he pulled her chin up to see her face and he was a bit surprised.
She was the lady who came to his office the other day.
"We meet again" he whispered into her ears sending shivers down her spine.
Racheal was scared to the core after witnessing him kill someone."you...you killed him" Racheal blurted out.
Lycan was confused on what to do with her, he doesn't want her spilling too much information that could ruin his image in public.
So he drew out his gun and aimed at her head, Racheal gulped seeing the gun placed on her head.
Her knees suddenly weakened as she shot her eyes closed.
Lycan saw her expression and was somewhat moved to spare her life 'she wasn't even begging for her life to be spared' he thought inwardly.
Racheal took a deep breathe, when she the gun touched her head.
She heard a shot and shot her eyes open immediately.
But she wasn't bleeding or feeling any sought of pain.
Racheal turned behind her to see a man lying in a pool of his own blood. The sight scared her making her feel nostalgic.
She had also seen her parents covered in there own blood when they had an accident years back.
She suddenly embraced lycan, who wasn't expecting it.
He wondered why this weird girl is holding onto him tightly when she knew he could end her life right here and now.
His polo was already getting drenched from her tears.
Meanwhile inside the club house
Lyra looked miserable as she continued taking shots upon shots of alcohol, she was very down and just wished to get drunk.
Someone at the other end was watching her and also counting how many shots she took in one gulp.
When he saw her taking the twentieth glass, he intervened and grabbed her wrist.
He glared at the bartender grabbing his shirt,"can't you see how wasted she is and you are busy giving her more, just to make money?" His eyes showed anger as he pushed the bartender.
Lyra looked up to the person holding her wrist and yanked it off before making her way through the door.
He ran after her, she was surprisingly walking fast even on heels.
Lyra staggered while walking on the lonely road to God knows where.
She stopped on her track when she was blinded by a car's headlight. The car was fast approaching her but she stood still not moving an inch.
In the next second she was pulled out from the road landing on someone's chest.
She lifted her eyes to look at her savior smiling "so the saying is true, after a light comes a prince charming appears" she mumbled and blacked out.
He cursed loudly of all times to faint why now?.
He lifted her up walking towards his car.
The next morning................
Lyra opened her eyes to find herself in an unfamiliar room, "Ah...my head hurts" she groaned in pain as she held her head.
She came down from the huge but comfortable bed, wondering where she was.
She suddenly recalled what happened last night and gasped, hope she didn't have a night stand with someone?
Her heartbeat increased when she remembered that she didn't see Racheal all through after she met Cole.
The door opened and someone came in, lyra recognized him immediately and couldn't believe it.
"You?" She asked in disbelief.
Brian placed the bowl of soup on the table and walked over to her.
"Yes me, anything wrong?" He flashed her a charming smile that can make a girl fly on cloud nine but it didn't work on lyra after experiencing that she wasn't sure if she could be in another relationship.
Lyra shook her head in response to his question.
She suddenly checked her body if anything was out of place, Brian knew what she meant by doing that.
"Oh please I should be the one doing that not you" Brian scoffed.
"What do you mean?" Lyra asked feeling a bit tensed. ' did I do anything wrong?' she mused silently.
"You are definitely not my type, and secondly you were trying to force yourself on me and also cursing Cole all through the night".
Lyra facepalmed herself she knew how stupid she could be whenever she gets drunk.
"Why were you drinking so much last night?" Brian inquired to see her turn red.
Something suddenly dawn on her, that clubhouse isn't for the elites so what was he doing there?."hold on a minute, what were you doing there last night as far as I know you Wilson's have high standards are you stalking me?" She snapped while Brian went loss for words.
"I wasn't stalking you, I went there for an assignment so stop with your rubbish" he snapped back.
Lyra gave up the topic and drank the hangover soup he brought.
After drinking it to the last drop, she picked up her things. "Thank you for your help" she said honestly before leaving the room.
Brian breathed a sigh of relief as she left, he was alarmed when the door opened again and she hurried in.
"Did you forget something?" He asked seeing her ransacked the room.....
She stopped what she was doing and moved to him.......
