Chapter 31_ My only wish 4

Brian raised the phone to his ear without saying a word he waited patiently for Cole on the other end to speak up. "lyra has it really gotten to the stage where you ignore my calls and texts? anyway my mum wants to see you this weekend, you know how much she likes you please you have to act like we are still together, forget about him for a while okay?"

Brian was suddenly piqued on knowing this "him" Cole was talking about.

"lyra are you there?!" Cole said impatiently.

Brian let out a sigh as the door opened lyra came in with a tray of food and placed it on the side table.

"Brian I got your dinner and what are you doing with my phone?" lyra rushed to his side to get hold of her phone but ended but falling to the other side of the bed.

Cole on the other end was agitated it seems he had been talking to her new boyfriend all these while.

Brian smirked and placed the phone back to his ear "she is resting on my bed now" he said calmly before hanging up.

Cole was enraged that he threw the phone away after the call went dead.

Lyra was dumbfounded as to who Brian was speaking to on her phone.

She snatched the phone back from him " Cole? you said that to him?"

Brian remained quiet picking up the bowl of chicken soup she brought.

Aidan had a small bandage on his head, he was pacing back and forth in the lobby.

The door to Racheal's ward opened as the doctor came out.

Doctor James patted Aidan's shoulder, "she is alright now" he sighed as he left Aidan's presence.

He wanted to tell Aidan about Racheal's health but he couldn't since Racheal begged him not to.

Aidan pushed open the door, Racheal was sitting on the bed while the nurse dressed her bruised arm.

She noticed another presence in the room and looked up to meet his expressionless face.

Racheal flashed a sweet smile at him as he stood before her, the nurse left the ward after she was done.

Aidan was taken aback when Racheal hugged him, he remained stiff like a log of wood with mixed emotions running through his mind.

"thank you for saving my life" she mumbled releasing him from her strong grip.

The door opened again, this time it was Aidan's mum, sister and old Wilson who came in.

Clara rushed forward to hug her son they received the news about their accident on the news a while ago.

Lizzy embraced Racheal warmly before pulling away. "are you alright?" Lizzy worriedly asked checking for major injuries on Racheal's body.

Rachael smiled at her "don't worry Lizzy I'm alright thanks to your brother who saved me in the nick of time".

Aidan patted Lizzy's head and left the room with his grandfather.

Old Wilson smiled teasingly "I knew you still had a straight mind".

Aidan's face darkened " I'm doing this for a reason, don't think I can't harm her if I wanted to but what's the use of killing her? she holds no meaning to me!" Aidan replied fiercely.

Old Wilson patted Aidan's shoulder "I understand, that's the reason you jumped into that deep water to save her from a ticking bomb that could have also claimed your life" old Wilson commented sarcastically leaving Aidan.

Racheal was discharged from the hospital that night and was driven straight home with Aidan, she noticed he was in a bad mood.

"are you hurt anywhere?" she asked and tried touching his arm but was stopped by Aidan.

"stay within your limits" he simply warned and stared into space.

Racheal looked out of the glass shield and sighed ever since old Wilson took Aidan out for a talk he has been giving her cold shoulders.

"did I do anything wrong?" she asked which further annoyed Aidan.

He grabbed her chin "do you have a death wish?" he yelled into her face.

She could see anger clearly written on his forehead "my only wish is to live longer and find true love so how can you kill me before then?" Racheal mumbled.

Elsa held her cheek which her mum just slapt hard, "mum!" she yelled.

Florence held her crazy daughter " what were you thinking? do you know the gravity of what you've done tonight? Aidan won't spare you! or any of us" Florence scolded.

She just found out that Elsa was responsible for tonight's incident, "so what if he finds out? I'm just doing him a favor by separating him from that leech! mum I don't regret what I did tonight instead I'm furious that my brilliant plan fumbled".

Florence sighed she has really done a bad job raising her daughters, they took after her evil ways.

Jenny held her sister's shoulder "Elsa you went too far, if Aidan finds out we are going to be killed before we know it, I'm also furious we both want to get married into the Wilson's family but what is Brian up to?"

" that girl is living with him in his own house I didn't do anything about it, just leave everything to mum".

Jenny explained but Elsa was having none of it, "move you are still young to understand the matters of the heart" Elsa commented pushing her sister aside.

Florence head was in chaos, she didn't know how to deal with the situation alone.

The door bell rang once before it opened, a man in reading glasses stepped in with an evil smirk plastered on his face.

Florence sighed in relief, at least someone who had the same motive as her was here.

"I saw the news you have really taught your daughters how to be exactly like you Florence".

Bernard applauded standing in front of her.

Florence hissed at his words "has your nephew found out about it?"

She asked fear was evident on her face, as of now she has only heard of Aidan's punishments but has never witnessed it.

Bernard sat on the arm chair present in the sitting room "no he hasn't but he is sure to find out soon, I have a plan that will stop all this madness once and for all" Bernard stated which piqued Florence interest.
