Chapter 29_ My only wish 2

Brian stepped on the brakes which made the car stop abruptly causing it to screech.

Lyra clutched the seat belt tightly with her eyes shut closed.

Brian who wasn't putting on the seat belt banged his head on the steering.

Lyra sighed in relief when the car stopped but panicked when she saw Brian unconscious and bleeding from his head.

"Brian..... are you okay?" she raised his head up which fell on her shoulder.

She found a bottle of water at the back seat and grabbed it sprinkling some on his face, she saw his eyelids move and slowly opened.

Lyra threw the bottled water away and sighed "you fool were you trying to get us killed?" lyra scolded.

Brian groaned in pain as he touched his bleeding head.

"that's a bit deep you might need a couple of stitches" lyra commented.

Brian stole a look at her side profile, she looked worried a while ago and now she was scolding him.

"I'm not your girlfriend!!" she seconded making him smile.

They drove to the hospital to get his wound treated, lyra gave him support as he leaned on her.

"you know, you only injured your head not your legs" lyra scoffed.

She saw a man in white coat approaching them, "Brian did you get into an accident again?" the doctor queried.

It has become a routine for Brian to get admitted into the hospital.

The doctor casted a look at lyra, who was still supporting Brian.

"I get it now, you went to a bar and hooked up with her but your numerous flings attacked you" doctor James assumed.

Lyra's ears turned red when the doctor addressed her as a hook up girl.

Brian immediately stood straight on his own before taking the talkative doctor into a ward.

"Brian slow down don't stain my coat" James warned.

"to hell with your coat, what were you saying earlier? she is not a hook up girl okay!" .

Brian defended, the doctor shook his head as he examined Brian's wound.

"it's not that deep, it would heal in a couple of days" James announced.

Lyra waited patiently for Brian to come out, when he came out her mouth dropped.

He was on crutches, a huge bandage on his head and hand.

She raised a brow as she walked to him and the doctor. "woah...I'm pretty sure it's not as serious as this! I thought he only injured his head!" lyra was confused.

Doctor James cleared his throat "I guess you were wrong miss, he clearly had internal injuries and his bones were dislocated".

"if I keep talking you might pass out!".

Lyra looked back and forth between Brian and the doctor. she wondered how it was even possible.

She didn't sustain any injury but he did, now he looked like a clown.

"here is the list of things that you should do for him to recover fast" doctor James handed over a list to her which she collected.

"doctor why did you give this to her? she can't possibly do anything to make me recover she will only worsen my condition" Brian cried.

Lyra smacked his arm, and turned to the doctor "ok I'll do as you say". she smiled and left the hospital.

Brian turned around and winked at the doctor who gave him a thumb up as reply.

It was a hot chase as Aidan swerved on the highway, he had multiple enemies from his underworld and business world.

So he wondered which one of his enemies took Racheal, "that stupid girl I told her not leave the house why would she come to the company today? always getting herself into trouble".

He muttered irritably as he stepped on the brakes, the car he was chasing suddenly stopped.

They were currently on the bridge, the car doors opened as Racheal stepped out of it.

Aidan remained seated in the car, her eyes were already red from crying.

He stepped out of the car to move towards her but stopped seeing a red and green light blinking on her body.

The man who abducted her came down also and held her at gun point.

"stay out of this, you are not my enemy".

Aidan heard the man say, but he took a step forward .

"No Aidan.... no, don't come forward it's a bomb" Racheal choked on her words.

She already knew she would die but it was a lot sooner than she expected.

Aidan took another step forward " I warned you don't force me to make you an enemy". the man warned.

Aidan had a hunch that this were the people who wanted Racheal dead for some reasons.

"You've made yourself my enemy and my enemies don't live to see another day" Aidan mumbled withdrawing a gun from his pocket.

He aimed at the man's chest and shot him severally till he dropped down.

Aidan rushed to Racheal, the bomb could blow up any moment.

He immediately called the ambulance and fire department. The man who laid on the ground pretending to be shot death let out a smirk and picked up his gun.
