Chapter 19_ Boss 1

The lady gave Brian a quick peck before leaving, Brian adjusted his tie and faced Racheal who was fuming in anger.

"you could have knocked before coming in miss lyra" Brian commented. "you left me standing at the men's room for almost an hour and you are here spending time with a lady" lyra was mad, today is her first day at work and she has suffered enough already.

Brian got up from his seat " know how to speak to your boss lyra".

Lyra scoffed at his words, if not that she needed this job badly she wouldn't be tolerating this madness.

"I'm sorry boss, please where is my assigned desk?" she muttered through gritted teeth.

Brian almost let out a laugh, so he cleared his throat "over there" he pointed at a desk at the end of the room.

Lyra dragged her lazy feet to the desk, there was a new computer on the desk and a laptop by the side.

immediately, she sank herself into the chair and pulled off her heels. "goodness I can't feel my feet anymore, it's so sore" she groaned in pain while Brian grinned in satisfaction.

He enjoyed seeing her face full of displeasure whenever he ordered her around.

Lyra turned on the computer, her phone beeped and she smiled seeing who it was. it was Bernard, she gave him her phone number earlier.

Brian raised a brow seeing her smile he wondered what was making her happy, "lyra come over here" he ordered.

Lyra wore her heels back on and walked to his table, Brian's eyes suddenly wandered to what she was putting on.

"umm lyra what are you putting on?" he demanded,. " do I really have to answer that?" she mumbled.

Brian sighed loudly, "your skirt is too long didn't you see what other ladies were putting on?" Brian scolded.

Lyra's mouth twitched slightly "well boss you could have prepped me on that yesterday, believe me I have a lot of skimpy clothes at home" lyra nonchalantly stated.

"take this files and point out the typos in it" Brian pointed to the files in front of the table.

Lyra's mouth dropped seeing the pile in front of her. "finish it before you leave today or else you might spend extra hours here" Brian brought her out from her trance.

Lyra hurriedly grabbed the pile of files on the table and dashed to her desk.

She was startled when she heard the bang on her table, it was more files.

Brian brought more files to her desk, the grip on her pen tightened that it snapped into halves.

Her chest moved up and down rapidly in anger that she couldn't voice out in order not to get fired.

At country D

Aidan's uncle, Bernard was flabbergasted he thought Aidan would be dead by now but he was wrong that stubborn mule is still alive he had travelled out so that he wouldn't be suspected for his death.

He was so sure that the plan he made would work, he has always wanted to be the chairman of the Wilson's corporation and properties.

But his dad never gave him anything, though he was an adopted son, he still believes that he should get a part of the property at least.

Now his plan B has also been ruined by that brat, his second plan would have been accomplished by Mr Andrew but Aidan Messed everything up.

He picked up his phone to give his dear nephew a call. "nephew don't you think that you are biting more than you can possibly chew? by cancelling the deal with Mr Andrew you've awakened the sleeping tiger, I won't stay still" Bernard barked angrily.

Aidan sighed at the other end, he was very calm he knew his foster uncle well enough, he acts gentle and innocent whereas he is the exact opposite of what he portrays to be.

"I will be expecting you uncle" with that Aidan hanged up.

Bernard gritted his teeth, if only old Wilson had given him what he wanted long ago all these wouldn't be happening.

Back at country H

Racheal was watching a movie with a bowl of popcorn by her side, her phone rang for some seconds, it was an unknown number.

" hello who am I unto?" she questioned but the other end was silent, she heard a knock.

She scurried to the door, and smiled it was Marcus.

She threw her phone on the bed guiding Marcus in to sit on the small couch, "Marcus what brings you here?" Racheal inquired.

Marcus smiled at her "are you free now?" he asked to receive a nod. "well I'm also free so why don't we go out" Marcus happily stated.

Racheal replied with a nod, she saw this as an opportunity to start doing what she always wanted to do.

"umm let me get my jacket" she dashed off,

Marcus smile turned upside down seeing the message on his phone, his fists tightened.

Racheal came out to see the downcast look on his face, when he saw her worried face he managed to let out a smile.

"I will choose where we should hang at" Racheal happily announced.

Meanwhile the caller at the other end hanged up the phone.

It was almost lunch time but lyra hasn't gone halfway with her work yet, she yawned.

She knew that she wouldn't be able to finish doing this today, she peeped through the file to see what Brian was doing.

'boss my foot, he isn't even doing anything i will teach him a big lesson later but for now let me get all these done' she mused silently.

Brian took a quick glance at her, he could see that she was tired but he needed to teach her a good lesson that she would never forget......
