Racheal screamed, how on earth can he disappear like that without her noticing, her eyes wandered to the file again.

Brian sat down on his seat as his employees did a presentation of their company's oncoming project.

He constantly checked his wrist watch and the door, the door opened he saw one of his male employee stepped in hurriedly.

"well look the CEO is here" Brian sarcastically commented, however his gaze shifted from Bernard to the lady who just walked in looking around like she was lost.

Lyra's eyes met with his and she flashed him a smile, but was sneered at in return. she saw him got up from his seat and was heading towards her.

Brian stood in front of her with his hands in his pants pocket, "miss lyra today is your first day of work and you are late, how incompetent of you" Brian coldly scolded.

Lyra rolled her eyes at his words "why are you trying to act tough in front of me?" she whispered.

Brian scoffed "just the way you were hired, you can also get fired so get over there and let's get this meeting started again.

Lyra was left speechless, as she walked towards her assigned seat to sit down. " miss lyra you won't sit till this meeting is over" Brian's voice thundered into her ears.

After two hours of presentation, Brian dismissed his employees except lyra.

"miss lyra, I believe you know well, what you should do since you are my assistant, your job is to be around me every minute and assist me".

Lyra frowned at his words, she couldn't feel her legs anymore they ache pretty bad after standing on heels for hours. "Brian that wasn't fair" lyra started to receive a glare that she took a step back.

"don't you dare address me casually like that again" Brian stated and left while lyra tailed behind him.

Meanwhile....

Florence was seated patiently at the reception desk, waiting to talk with Aidan, she knew Aidan was keeping her waiting on purpose.

She has been waiting for hours to see that brat, she meant business this time.

She saw the receptionist give her a sign to proceed in, Florence hurriedly went in before Aidan changes his mind again.

She knocked slightly before going in, his viscous gaze pierced through her that she avoided his eyes, he was not the only one present in the room.

It seems the men present were business partners, "Mr. Wilson please give us a month more to sought things out, don't shut down our company we can resolve this" Mr Andrew pleaded, he has been their business partner for years now.

But this ruthless man was destroying everything now. Aidan fiddled with the pen he was holding "Mr Andrew I'm a man of few words, don't get on my nerves leave now" Aidan ordered coldly.

Mr. Andrew and the rest of his associates left the office.

Florence returned her attention to Aidan, she casually walked to the seat in front of his table to sit. "I haven't asked you to sit yet" Aidan calmly said but Florence knew him too well to sit.

Florence let out a grin "Aidan I have known you since when you were born, I carried you when you were just a little baby but now that once sweet child has turned into a bad boy" she blabbed on.

Aidan wondered what this crazy woman was doing here. "get to the point" he ordered.

"at least offer me a seat" Florence giggled and sat down, her face turned serious instantly.

"well you must be wondering why I'm here" Florence assumed letting out a smug smile.

"the thing is, I figured out that you are lycan the most wanted mafia boss in the country, you run illegal businesses and lots more that I can't say because I'm ashamed to do so". her grin grew wider.

Aidan remained unmoved as he watched Florence ranted on and on.

"well if you found out I was lycan why are you telling Aidan? look aunt there's nothing I can do about it" Aidan answered feeling bored of her presence.

Florence knew it would be hard for him to give in to her demands. "well I guess I will just post this video of you killing this young man" Florence played a video.

Aidan raised a brow at her and smirked "oh aunt a lot of people have tried this same foolish act that you are about to do but guess what they are not existing anymore" Aidan said with a threatening tone.

Florence gulped here she was thinking he would dance to her tunes. "if you think you can blackmail lycan then wait for him tonight" Aidan grinned evilly.

Florence knew her attempt has failed, she stood up and left his office. immediately she left Aidan picked up his phone " Florence just left my office, delete the videos on her phone" he hanged up...

Lyra was stunned when Brian shamelessly asked her to follow him into the men's room. she stood outside waiting for him it's been an hour since she was standing but he hasn't come out yet.

She knocked rapidly on the door, but no one was answering so she decided to go in. she checked each cubicle but it was empty. she turned to leave but stopped after seeing a door slightly opened at the other end. "so he went through that door and left me standing outside" lyra gnashed her teeth in anger.

Lyra was led to Brian's office "thanks" she smiled at the lady that just helped her, "I'm lyra by the way".

"I'm Jane, umm can we have lunch later?" Jane asked politely. "of course" lyra murmured and entered the office.

Brian was startled when the door opened, the lady sitting on his laps got up adjusting her dress. lyra frowned in disgust, now she got why his female employees wore skimpy clothes.
