Problems At The Dojo (3)

Robert looked at her with fear, sweat beading down the side of his face. Auralia however did not care. She had warned him about putting his daughter into danger again.

"Auralia please…The problem has been solved, let this go." Robert laughed nervously.

"I just paid off your debt. I think I'll be the one to decide if I'm going to let this go or not." Auralia growled, grabbing Robert by the collar of his dirty shirt.

The man reeked of alcohol and filth, making Auralia want to released him but she couldn't. The moment she let him go, he would run away, not taking responsibility for the problems he had caused.

"Come on now. Do you want me to pay you back? I can-"

"With what money, you good for nothing b*stard!" Auralia interrupted as she finally lost her cool. "You have no job, are constantly drinking and gambling and nearly got your daughter sold off. You're even involved with that damn group!"

"I-"

"No! You've done enough. I warned you before never to get Emily involved in your rubbish again yet you did it once again." Auralia scolded. "I trusted you once but not again. This time you're going to give me guardianship."

"What?! How can you ask that?" Robert cried out. "I'm her-"

"If you were her damn father, you never would have done that! What kind of father sells his daughter off to pay gambling debts?! No a real one, that's for sure." Auralia yelled back. "Now you're going to sign those papers and never appear in Emily's life again. That's what you owe me for paying your debts."

Robert gulped, silent for a moment. "Alright…I'll sign the papers. She'll be turning eighteen next week anyway."

Auralia lightened her grip of his shirt. "Good."

Auralia took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. Then using her other hand, she grabbed her phone and called her dojo's office number. She hear it ring for a few moments before someone picked it up.

"Hello?" Jamie's voice sounded through the phone.

"Hey kiddo." Auralia sighed. "Could you bring me the file. You know the one in the second drawer. Oh and a pen."

"Um sure…" Jamie paused for a second. "Are you doing what I think you're doing?"

"Yeah…Seems it ended this way. By the way, how's Emily holding up?"

"She's okay. Mostly shocked about the whole thing." Jamie answered in a low tone. "I don't think she expected her old man to pull that stunt."

Auralia huffed. "I don't think anyone did…"

"Yeah…I've got the file. Can I bring it to you?"

"Yes. I'm in the front."

"Okay I'll be there." Jamie said before hanging up the phone.

Auralia placed her phone away and turned to glare at Robert. "You beg pray that this won't affect Emily's future because I'll make you regret it for life."

Robert paled at her words, his mouth opening and closing like a fish. His eyes were wide with fear, making it plain to see he was wondering what Auralia was going to do with him.

A door opened, turning Auralia's attention away from the old man. She watched as Jamie hurried over to her, carrying a file under his arm.

"Here coach." The boy exclaimed, handing the red file over to her.

She took it, watching him pull out a pen from his uniform pant's pocket. He handed it to her too and Auralia turned her attention back to Robert.

"Alright. All the papers are here. You just need to sign everything."

Robert's eys widen. "You have everything already?! Is this even legal?"

"It is and I got the papers prepared after the stunt you pulled the first time." She suddenly remembered sometime, she needed a witness to sign too. "Jamie, could I ask a favor?"

"Sure coach."

"See that taxi parked over there." Auralia said pointing to the taxi Alexander was sitting in. "Ask the man inside the back to come here."

"Um okay…Do you know the man, coach?" Jamie asked.

"Oh yeah…Um he's my boyfriend." Auralia replied sheepishly. "Now please go."

She saw his eyes widen as he processed her words. She never told her students much about her personal life but they all knew she was too focused on the dojo to be in any relationship.

So her comment must have come as a shock.

"Yeah…I'm going!" Jamie said, hurrying away.

Auralia then turned back to Robert, watching him like a hawk as he went through the papers.

Alexander sighed as he watched the scene before him through the taxi's windscreen. At first it was almost like watching an action movie and at times Alexander had wanted to go out to help Auralia when one of the goons had pointed a bat at her.

But he had promised her that he would not leave the taxi. Thankfully she had handled the situation and got the goons to disappear. But now Alexander watched as some punk in a white uniform ran towards the taxi.

He believed Auralia had sent him over, seeing the kid handing her something a few minutes early. He opened the car down and stepped out, wondering what the kid wanted.

However as he did, the kid stopped in his tracks, his mouth gaping open. Alexander sighed at the star stuck kid and walked pass him.

"Don't look so shocked." He muttered. "Tell me what Auralia wanted."

"You're…" The kid stopped himself. "Coach is asking for you."

"Okay thanks." Alexander replied, walking to Auralia.

The kid found himself again and rushed towards. "Are you really Coach's boyfriend?"

"Huh? She said I was her boyfriend?"

"Um yeah…Are you not?" The kid scratched his head, looking round. "Did I go to the wrong taxi?"

"No you went to the right one. Auralia and I are getting engaged soon so I though she would say fiancee." Alexander explained.

The kid seemed to be in shock again as they got to Auralia, probably unable to process Alexander's words.

"Auralia, you called?" Alexander said as he stood next to her.

She turned to him, anger clear on her face. It made Alexander wonder what the old man on the floor did. He made a mental note to ask her later.

"Oh yeah…Could you act as my witness? I'm taking guardianship from this excuse of a father." Auralia growled the last bit, glaring at the man.

The man whimpered at her words and Alexander found himself understanding the situation. It seems the man had endangered one of Auralia's students.

The only thing was who was the student. He looked at the kid who Auralia had sent to him, wondering if Auralia was going to have to care for him. Alexander didn't really like the thought of that.

"Um…guardianship for?" Alexander asked, wanting a little information.

"One of my students, Emily." Auralia sighed. "I don't want her staying around this man."

"Alright." Alexander said, feeling a little relieved for some reason. "Where do I sign?"
