Zeus and the Zombies pt.4

Sukuna leaped from the building on top of a zombie crushing him as he stared at the Alpha who turned back to finally look at him.

"Oh! having cursed energy in him, he notices the difference in our strength." Sukuna chuckled as he pressed down on the zombie skull crushing it.

Zombies were truly fascinating creatures, considering they were already dead, they still walked around tanking damages, no matter what was to come. The zombie he landed on had his back crushed already, but it was still trying to bite him regardless.

Alpha's on the other hand were smarter, as they were closer to the source. They were more powerful and faster than regular zombies. (A/N- In the movie, the regular zombies are called shamblers.)

These Alpha's were directly bitten by the originator of the virus, Zeus. Whose real name was Richards, a soldier involved who volunteered to participate in an experiment with an alien sickness, which would unexpectedly lead to him becoming the first zombie.

With the hierarchy the zombies followed, Zeus was the king of the horde and his alphas were commanders.

And similar to that the jacked-up Alpha in front of him was leading the shamblers in search for humans who still remained. But the unique part about this Alpha was that he had cursed energy within him. Cursed energy he was very familiar with.

"I can sense the finger within the vicinity, it's not far from here. Though, this Alpha in front of you has some traces of it." Lilith's voice sounded in his head.

"It's an expected development." Sukuna said walking closer towards the Alpha who growled and took a couple of steps back, "It seems Zeus, has taken the finger turning himself into a finger bearer, making him a special grade cursed spirit."

"And with it, anyone it bites mutates into a zombie cursed spirit of a sort. Well, that's my theory for now but with how I imagined the 'creator' to be, it's clear he wants me to be involved with these things."

Lilith was silent the whole time, listening to what he had to say as she finally spoke up, "Then we are going to need some planning!"

"We both agree on that," Sukuna said as he looked around, all the zombies into the area had surrounded him with the Alpha and him being in the center.

"Since you can't defeat me, it seems you want to strategize your way out of this one," Sukuna said to the Alpha who was still growling at him, the zombies feeling fear was a completely new concept but with the cursed energy, it seems they evolved into quite a different being.

"Too bad, this isn't going to be enough." Sukuna dashed out towards the Alpha as he turned back mid-air and grabbed the Alpha by the head smashing it into the ground.

"Even, I don't know how to use my cursed energy so of course something brain-dead like you won't be able to either." Sukuna sat on the Alpha's back who was trying to get back up.

Letting out a muffled growl, the Alpha signaled his army of zombies to attack as the shambles started rushing in.

"You know, I am not going to fight against these zombies who are completely worthless in value. It's like defeating a mob of monsters in a game which won't give you any exp but keeps bothering you by popping out again and again."

Sukuna grabbed the Alpha's head as with a bit of twist and full, he completely decapitated it.

"50 points gained!" Lilith's voice sounded in his head, "You don't need me to keep on notifying you about this right, it's really annoying."

"As long as you keep a log of it, I don't mind it." Sukuna stood up about to jump away to escape from the zombies converging towards him when all of sudden the zombies around him kept going down one after another.

'This is interesting!' Sukuna chuckled on the inside hiding his markings away.

A modified bus rushed into the scene alongside an Army Humvee that had a machine gun attached on top of it. A woman was firing the gun at the zombies but one look and you could tell she wasn't barely handling it.

"Get inside!" A large burly man with glasses and tattoos yelled at him as he shot the zombies around him.

Sukuna nodded as he ran towards the man, who pulled him inside the bus.

"GO!" The man yelled shutting the door up as with the Humvee in lead they ran over the zombies moving away from the place.

"Thanks!" Sukuna said looking at the burly man, who nodded at him sitting on the seat next to him, "But you should really be careful helping strangers like this."

"What makes you say that?" The man asked as some of the other passengers looked at him with a frown.

"I could be bitten, and you know what that leads to, don't you?" Sukuna casually said not minding the gazes.

"But you aren't right?" The man said a bit awkwardly noticing his point as he moved his hands towards his gun.

"I am not," Sukuna said raising his hands a little.

With not a single blood on him, except for a dirty shoe and cool-headed way he was acting the man nodded pulling his hands away from his gun.

"I am Scott, the girl next to me is my daughter Kate." Scott introduced himself and his daughter who kept looking out the window not paying any attention towards him.

"Kai." Sukuna said with a smile.

"You look calm." A man who was behind him said,

"Should I not be?"

"It's good that you are, but you don't look like someone who was about to be eaten by them."

"What if I had already accepted my fate?"

Sukuna and the tall black man stared at each other for a while.

"Don't worry about Van over here, it's just that we are all tense," Scott said trying to ease the situation.

Vanderohe backed off in his seat as Sukuna who was already calm in the first place nodded, "I can understand."
