Forfeit

After a little break, now everyone was inside an arena again, ready for semi-final match. Noise and shouts were everywhere inside the arena, Xander's name has now been known by every student, his little story of his archievement has been shared by everyone now.

Now the four students has been taken into the special room where they can stay while waiting for their time. Inside the room everyone has taken his own positin since no one has a good relation with the other. This awkward condition proceed for a time until one of them started.

"THIS SUCKS! I know we are all from different realms, and we are quite enemies from one another. But can't we just forget about it for a short time?" Vander complained. "I even wonder what make us enemies."

According to history when humans learn how to unlock their arcana, this phenomena was followed by mutation of animals and evolve them into dangerous beast which brings chaos and death in every corner of the world. Others use this as an opportunity to grow stronger while others use it to become wealthy through their strength and power. Humans lost trust among themselves and that's when the world split into four different forces. This civil war continue until one day when the baron from Oversky realm dead, many thought it was their end since there were no other bloodline. And that was when a new strong baron arise from nowhere and taken over the throne. He was more powerful than anyone can imagine. He was the one who brought peace and unite the four realms, he was the one who came with an idea to build one Academy which will train their childrens way of arcana.

But then a new realm arise which known as Underground realm, no one knows it's location or origin but it has been the reason behind these eternal fights.

First, there was Oversky realm which is under the control of the baron with light arcana. Second, there was Invisible realm which is under the control of the baron with weather arcana. Third, Frosty realm which is controled by the baron with Ice arcana. Forth, there was Volcanic realm which is controled by an inferni and now there is Underground realm, even their baron is unknown.

"Your father was the reason of all this mess, and now you said you don't know?" Ayden said in frustrated way. "I can't believe it."

"He wasn't the one." Vander exclaim.

"It's better if you all keep quit. We are born enemies and now we gonna fight each other in the arena." Jake said. "You can not change anything."

Jake was this kind of a silence type, rather than Vander who usually likes to talk and make funny.

Ayden just went at the wall and slide down sitting on the floor and held his head down between his knees. At the other side Vander just punch the wall for sometime before he kneel down facing the wall.

Xander has been observing them all this time, he even could hear Vander murmur time to time. But then the clark sound and the doors were opened. At the other side could be seen Prof Rayven, he sign to them to follow him and walk away. He took them to their special seats in the arena were they will wait for their match.

The students were shouting for them while they were walking their whole way into their seats, some even shout-out their names as they appriciate them.

After a long time of wait, Prof Vance went on the arena. He congratulate everyone for showing their performance and progress since they had reached the academy. Then there was special congratulations to the four students who had reached the semi-final.

"After all, it's a semi-final round. Stay silence and be ready for another round." Prof Vance announced before left some moment of silence. "And our next fight will be Jake Devlin and Vander Wak."

"I guess it's time." Jake said before walking to the arena. Vander sighed before he also stand up and walk away.

'I wonder who will win.' Xander thought. 'They are both strong, they may even surpass me.'

In the arena, the two titans as considered by most of the students, were standing infront of each other.

"What do you think now?" Vander asked while his arms were folded. "Are we just going to crush each other?"

"I am not even sure. Though you were right, why are we even enemies from the first place?" Jake answered. "It's like the world wants us to be enemies."

"I used to miss our childhood." Vander reveal.

"But I don't." Jaked said. "Why even bother to remember the worst days."

"They were my best days I ever had." Vander said.

"FIGHT!" They heard Prof Vance shout.

"Talkings are over, let's finish this." Jake said while preparing to fight.

"I won't fight you." Vander sighed while looking the crowd of students before looking down.

"You won't change anything." Jake said.

"I wil....." Before Vander could finish his sentence, he was hit by a powerful kick which throw him a distance.

"I didn't mean to do any of this shit. But now you are forcing me."Vander said while he stand up from the ground, but then he saw Jake spinning into the air ready for another kick. Vander raise his arm in a cross way, he block the kick but it slides him a bit.

'It hurts.' Vander thought.

"Did you think you can surprise me again?" Vander said in a sadistic tone. "I wonder what happened to you back then, you were not like this."

Everyone was speechless, they were ready for a big show between these two powerhouses but now everything is going non predicted.

'What is happen? It seems like Vander don't want to fight him. But why?' Xander was also wondering what happened to Vander.

Jake was on his move again to attack, he was sprinting at an incredible pace toward Vander before he heard the familiar voice.

"I forfeit." Vandered declared.
