Competition part Two

"Shit!" Xander cursed loudly, others near him have even turn around to look at him.

'Why are you even looking at me.' He thought. 'And here I was praying not to be the first so I can get an idea of how things are going but it seems not a case anymore.'

Xander walk toward arena, he found a sized boy as him, though he has a little large body than Xander. He was now opposite his opponent facing each other.

'What is this? Is it some kind of magic?' Xander wondered.

"Aren't you the boy with no arcana?" Gael smirked.

"None of your business." Xander replied.

"FIGHT." Prof Vance shout.

The duo positioned themselves in their fighting stance. They waited for their opponent to make a first move though no one did.

[Quest received]

At the end Gael was the one who made a first move. He run toward Xander and when he was near him he clenched his fist and jump in the air to deliver his punch.

'With this momentum I will finish him with one punch, not to mention he has no arcana.' Gael thought.

Just in time Xander jump and deliver his own knee strike. It was a quick move, even Gael failed to react on time as he can see a kick landed right at his head and suddenly darkness engulf him.

The crowd was silence as they wait for Gael to wake up though nothing like it happened.

Prof Vance appear from nowhere as he inspect the boy before raise his head and say

"Our winner is Xander Vinn." He announced.

The students were still in a daze, they couldn't believe that a nobody who hasn't unlock his arcana has defeat an awaken just with a single strike.

"Did I just saw everything right?" One of the student murmur.

"Isn't he the one with no arcana? How comes...just like that?" The other asked.

Students continue to murmur non stop in every corner. Xander just didn't know what to think, the crowed was indeed silence, he didn't know if it is because they are stunned by what he has done or something else.

Though he didn't mind as he has used to be ignored. He walk away to return at his seats but then he heard a clap from a certain direction and when he turned to look at who, he saw a girl with a huge smile crapping, then the VIP seat imitated her and suddenly a whole crowd did the same.

'It's not like I asked them to do it.' He thought. 'But that Claire, she is sure a girl of her own.'

He could hear students still murmuring from far since his hearing has enhanced, others said he is luck enough to defeat an awaken just in one hit, others said he is a monster for his level but he doubt that was mostly from second year students.

While sitting at his seat, he now could see that Gael was nowhere to be seen.

'Where is he? Did he just disappear or he has been taken by the supervisor into the hospital already? But how...?' Xander got confused again, he didn't know how did it happen, but he just wait for the next match to got finish so he can see what happen.

The next match started, where there was a blonde haired girl and a short boy, their match continue for sometime until a blonde haired girl knock out a short boy.

This proceed for sometime as Xander continue to knock his opponents in one go, sometimes he will met with some hard and skilled opponents but at the end he will defeat them, and now it was a time of semi-final round. Claire had also try her best but at the end she had fall slightly near a semi-final round.

Apart form Xander there was Vander who has also defeat his enemies mostly in one blow, next was Jake who was mostly takedown his opponent with his kicks, he appear to be more skill in his kicks more than anything, and he is the one who hasn't face any struggles from his opponents. And lastly there was Ayden. These four has been the one to enter the semi-final round.

It had been an all over story among the students and Professors on how a students with no arcana has manage to reach a semi-final round. Since when a person unlock there arcana there will be a boost in oneself strength depend on their type of arcana, also it will allow them to improve faster than an average person. And here there were those with strong arcana which has reached an abnormal level yet here were defeated by someone with no arcana.

It wasn't a thing which was known by many that he has no arcana but now it has spread all over the academy.

It was a lunch time and inside the canteen Xander and Claire sat together with food infront of them.

"I didn't know you were a skilled fighter. You have made a name for yourself now!" Claire said. "Everyone is talking about you."

"I dont care." Xander declared. "I just want to show them they are not that better than everyone."

"But I am still not sure if I can take on the rest. They are too powerful."

"I doesn't matter, you have already reached an unimaginable level for any one can imagine." She said.

While still talking there was a group of students which was observing them, it had been a long time since they were observing until they finally step inside the canteen to where Xander was.

"Hi! I am Vander Wak." The boy who seems to be a leader of his little gang introduce while raising his hand for a shake.

Xander look at him before he ignore him and proceed to eat, Claire glanced to Vander before divert her daze to Xander.

"Hey do whatever you want but please try to avoid chaos with him." Claire whispered to Xander.

"Hey, listen I was just here for a friend reason but if you don't care it's okey. Let's meet in the arena." Vander said while walking out of the canteen. "Looking forward, to when we will get alone."

"Let's head back in the arena, it's time." Xander said while standing up from a chair.
