Chapter 49: Development

After separating, Li and Lisa returned to the inn. Carrying the boy piggyback on his back, even though he had knocked him out in the middle of a bar, the man tried to be as discreet as possible, covering him with his cloak as if he were sleeping. 

"I wish there was a spell to make me invisible..." Li whispered, a little embarrassed. 

"Er... are there really none? Maybe I could use something like that in the future?" he pondered. 

Entering the lodging and arriving at one of the numbered rooms that Jihan had seen on the key handed to Glória, Lisa knocked three times on the door. As there was no response, he called out. 

"Glória, it's me!" he announced. 

After a few seconds, the woman opened the door, with a towel covering her body and another on her hair. 

"You should have spoken up sooner," she said. 

"Were you in the bath?"
