Rebirth of the third rate actress

The whole shooting venue was flooded with reporters and cameramen. The shooting crew had gathered over as they watched the show which was more interesting than the movie they were shooting. The nonstop flashes of camera lightened the venue even in the blackout.

Why you ask??

Hmmmm.....Let us turn back the time to an hour ago...

The paparazzi couldn't believe their luck- They had just struck pay dirt! As soon as there were rumors, they were on it and they were happy that they did. Before them, on the corner of the movie set was what appeared to be a upside down turned body-- of an actress!!

The rain was getting heavier and by the moment police and ambulance had arrived the whole set was in chaos.

"Step aside please; make a way for the ambulance." A policeman whistled as he dispersed the excited crowd. A couple of helpers came down from the ambulance with stretchers, oxygen mask and other necessary first aid kit.

"Stand behind the line please." The police men were busy clearing up the area. They ordered the crowd to move back, some of them had a blank look on their face.

The doctor who had come with the officers checked the pulse of the victim. The doctor looked at the officer near to him who was commanding the other officers, the head among them and shook his head indicating that the patient has died.

The police chief understood the graveness of the situation as he nodded his head to the doctor. "The patient is to be taken for immediate health care...please make a way for the ambulance. " The police head announced with his speaker trying to get the message to all of the people present.

As a police on duty he had his responsibility to be tight lipped about the condition of victim without further information and investigations.

Almost all of the people burst out as they continued taking the photo of the actress who lay on the ground, her lifeless body soaked in the rain as it continued to fall down as if mourning her death.

Her body was placed on the stretcher and covered with white plain sheet of cloth. No one stopped taking her photo until the ambulance carrying her body disappeared from their sight.

"The living sensation has yet caused another sensation.....Accident in the set?? Truth or hype to promote the movie??" The online news and forums were filled with gossips and photos of the actress who had just been taken to hospital by an ambulance.

"Serves her right. That bitch deserved this." An anti-fan commented which immediately got reposted, liked and replied by many other.

'I heard she slipped on the stairs and fell down. I wish she was dead...duhhhh..that stupid . She must have been on drugs to fall down so stupidly." Another person added fuel to the fire. This started another chain of discussion as her whole history and background was brought forward for criticism.

"Guys...what if she died?? She got in accident while filming a horror movie, I am afraid she might come back to haunt us. He he...." Another person joked online. "She already looked like a ghost. guys, look at this photo."

A photo was attached to the message. In the photo a girl had messy hair and dark circles under her eyes. She looked as if she has taken a dosage of drugs, totally high. It was none other than the photo of Lucia that was responsible for her miserable career.

But little did those people knew she was already there watching them write bad things about her...she was just being silent because the poor woman herself did not know what they were talking about.

The actress looked at her own photo with a pair of innocent and confused eyes.

Those were the same photo that had caused her home and workplace to be investigated by the police.

But they found nothing yet her image as a rookie actor in the entertainment industry was ruined by the moment this case was solved.

For years after that incident, she had been known in the entertainment industry as "The Sensation Queen".

The title looked flashy and great but that was a little too heavy for a third rate actress such as her. Her ugly photo most of which were photo shopped made it to the first page of every celebrity gossip newspaper and magazine.

All her embarrassing moments reached the paparazzi but she didn't know how.

The dead actress looked at the ambulance which drove away taking her mortal body. She looked at the people who were busy taking photographs and uploading them on social media tagging her name and exaggerating things just to get more views and share. She was dead but still so popular.

This popularity made her want to cry but she didn't think it was worth spilling over something so insignificant.

She felt unreal and was wondering if she was still alive or already dead. She floated over houses, passed through doors and people before she finally accepted the reality. 'Yes, I am dead.' The spirit body of the actress looked at her see through hands.

"Now only they need to know I am dead too."

Suddenly, the brightly lit up billboard caught her attention.

The billboard flashed white showing the police station. It looked like a press conference. She looked over curious as to what made them hold a conference at midnight.

""Lucia Sovuyer has passed away at the age of 28 at exactly 12 pm. Further investigations are being done." The police forwarded her death news as simply as he could with no hint of pity or sympathy whatsoever.

"Poor girl...tsk tsk." The actress felt sad for the deceased.

"Ohhh...right..I am that actress...I am the LUCIA." Lucia mocked herself for her stupidity.

"12 pm...wait 12 pm?" Lucia jumped up from where she was seated.

"Then it means...." She gasped her eyes wide in disbelief.

It was her birthday now. Yes she could finally remember. She was in a hurry to meet up with her lover so she had agreed to work overtime and was rushing to meet him but karma was a bitch.

She slipped on the ladder and fell down breaking her spine and skull. She could have held the railings but for some reason she got dizzy and lost her consciousness for a moment.

Lucia face palmed when she realized how embarrassing her death was. She looked at the time and realized it was already 12: 30. She thought about her loving boyfriend who always supported her even when she was caught in scandal and slandered online and felt her eyes warming up with tears.

"Come home early, I have something for you." Her lover had told her that morning.

Even in all this confusion and chaos, Lucia thought about the only person in her life, Roy.

"If I am really dead, I want to see him last time."

'He must be waiting for me. Even if he can't see me, I will go see him.' Lucia flew over hundreds of houses until she finally reached her home.

The light was on in her bedroom. 'Is he still waiting for me?' Lucia felt all bubbly in her heart along with a little sadness imagining his reaction when he will hear she has died.

'Baby….' Lucia directly went inside her room.

Her whole world plunged into darkness as she looked at the scene before her. Her boyfriend was lying on his back on her bed naked with a woman on top of him, her voluptuous chest bouncing as she moved her hips.

"Babe, it's soo goodddddd…." Her sweet voice mixed with lust and moans filled the room. Unable to take it the man pushed down the woman making love to her to the point of making her wriggle and scream in pleasure. "More babe…ahh ahhh....there…..stop…no…yes.." The girl moaned and groaned, her head and senses all muddled up. The room filled with the squeaking sound of the bed and heavy gasps of the man.

Lucia watched emotionless at the pornographic scene before her. She finally came back to her sense when both of them calmed down and laid down on the bed panting, their chest heaving up and down at the same rhythm. Lucia stared at the man confirming that he was her boyfriend because her boyfriend no matter how much she wanted to take step forward with him used to deny her by saying he was inexperienced and he might hurt her.

She searched for the innocent and pure face in the blushing and hot face of the man but without any luck. All she saw was a hungry beast.

The woman took her cellphone from the table beside the bed and smirked as she scrolled down the internet and social media. "You girlfriend is dead." She showed the news to the man. The man wrinkled his face in disgust as he took the woman in his arms. "That dirty whore is not my girlfriend. It was for your sake I did all of that." The man kissed the nape of the woman.

Lucia looked carefully at the woman. Wasn't she the most popular leading actress in the industry? And she was the lead of the movie she was filming just an hour ago. Anne was her name if she remembered correctly. Lucia felt the world spin around her when she heard what the woman said.

"I know babe. You are the best." The woman replied affectionately. "All of those scandalous photos, drugs scandal and all the online hate post, you did a good job removing her from my path to stardom."

"I asked my assistant to give her some of my healthy drink when she finished her shoot. Guess it worked huh." Anne snuggled in his arms. "You are a naughty girl." The man pretended to bite her but the playfulness was evident in his action.

Lucia felt coldness seep deep into her bones. The more she heard the more she felt colder.

"All those bad photos, all her sufferings and all of my pain, don't tell me you were behind this. Roy, please tell me it's not true." Lucia screamed at the top of her lungs as she tried to separate the two bodies that were stuck with each other.

"That photo that made people suspect me of doing drugs, that was when I stayed up whole night practicing for my audition, Don't tell me you leaked it to public just so I couldn't attend the audition and for whom?? For her sake??" Lucia pointed at the woman as she screamed, her voice choking on her tears.

"Please don't call me whore when I have only ever wanted you in my entire life. Please tell me all of this is false….I beg you…" At this point Lucia was begging rather than screaming.

She didn't believe any of them or rather it was better to say she didn't want to believe the, but the evidence was right in front of her.

Despite her screaming and pleadings they couldn't hear her. Even if they did, they would end up laughing at her misery.

"Don't I deserve a reward?" the man asked as he sucked on her collar bone. "You do babe." Anne replied in her coquettish voice as she rubbed her ass on his crotch exciting him again.

Lucia wanted to revolt, she wanted answers and reasons but as a ghost what else could she do except suffer in the misery.

Lucia had seen and heard more than enough so she left her room. It was better to call it their room now that it was filled with their filth and existence.

Lucia wandered around the night city and stood in front of the billboard where the news of her death was flashing. Her body which has been taken for post mortem was being dissected at the hospital. As she was about to leave, a breaking news about her flashed on the billboard again.

"Sheeshhh....i m too popular." Lucia said this but whether it was mockery or not only her painful heart knew.

"Let's see news about myself." Lucia was looking forward to how much she will be pushed down the abyss. "According to the post mortem report her body has signs of use of drugs that can harm the nervous system. Her death has been probably caused by the overdose on drugs."

Lucia hooted and clapped when she heard the news. Now after her death she finally realized everything. Thank god she was dead otherwise she was planning to kill herself after all that has happened. She was bashed online again with many not even showing an ounce of pity.

"God, I don't want to live another life. I wish happiness to all of them so please just take me okay??"

She felt numb in her heart and soul.

"I am tired like really really tired." Lucia was atheist but for the first time she prayed to a god for something.

She slowly felt herself losing her consciousness as she lost energy from her soul. "Guess I am finally dying."

A satisfied smile spread all over her face as she welcomed her death with open arms as everything around her darkened like at the end of a movie.

Death stood up from his seat swinging the heavy looking scythe. "Guess I will go and collect her soul."

"Wait..Not yet." A notorious voice chuckled as he stopped him on his tracks.

Death looked at him in confusion.
