Sacrifice

It was a nice and beautiful day in the Antimacassar Kingdom. As the future queen Nyana woke up to hear her sister and brothers screaming at each other. It was a everyday thing for her since they was young but now that they are older she feels like they need to mature. She know that they still will act like kids either way.

It also bother her so much because they aren't really blood related at all. Nyana still treated them like they were blood siblings even if it hurt her. She heard much about her mother that she never knew and what was said....well....was something she couldn't comprehend and believe.

She got off her bed with a little yawn with her long yellow silk nightgown. She made it to where her siblings was fighting just to see her father and stepmother just watching. Every since her stepmother came into their life her father changed and she didn't like it.

Nyana stopped for a minute to think about all the things that her stepmother put her through. "Can you please stop fighting and be mature about the situation?" Nyana asked her siblings who stopped arguing at each other.

"My sweet daughter how was your night?" Nyana father asked with a smile. "It was fine father I had a good night sleep....kinda" Nyana said as she remembers the sound her father and stepmother was making.

Nyana couldn't believe that she had siblings that her dad had with another women. "That's good Nyana!" Her father said in a happily voice as Nyana just nods. "Hi Ana" Axilya said with a smile. "oh hello Axilya!" Nyana said as she went to hug her sister.

Nyana father watched in sadness remembering when her mother always do that to him when she died. Anethra, the stepmother watched as Nyana hugged her other stepdaughter. Anethra knows she probably can't have children unlike Nyana who can.

No matter how many times Nyana can see her true colors it never work. Anethra always find a way to break up the father and daughter friendship. Everyone in the kingdom always say 'you're wife is evil' or 'she will be a horrible mother' but her husband never listen.

Anethra was always jealous of her stepdaughter she got everything Anethra ever wanted. "Father I need to speak to you..." Nyana said as she got done hugging her sister. "You can talk to me now" Her father said as Nyana just shake her head. "No. Father I mean in private" Nyana said in a whisper voice.

Nyana father nodded as she follow his daughter to an empty room in the castle. "I need you to tell me what happened to my mother " Nyana said serious as her father stiff at the mention of Nyana mother.

He didn't know what to say even if he had a whole speech about her mother. But since Nyana was a little girl she always wondered why she doesn't have a mom but others do. Now the king knows it's time to tell Nyana the truth about her mother.

The king cleared his throat as he sit down on a couch with Nyana sitting in front of him on the other couch. "Your mother was a fantastic, amazing, beautiful, sweet, kind, and loving women Nyana" The king began.

Nyana was listening close about her mother not knowing that her stepmother Anethra was spying on them. "What happened to her? What was the real reason she left us?" Questions was spilling through Nyana mouth as her father looked down in sadness.

The king didn't want to say it knowing it will break her heart but the truth will come out someday. "One day me and your mother was arguing and I told her to leave" the king said as Nyana couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Nyana took a long breath and ask the question he didn't want to answer. "Why did you say that?" Nyana looked at her father with tears in her eyes. Maybe if her father didn't say that her mother might be alive today.

The king just looked down not wanting to see the tears he created. "We was both mad at each other Nyana. I couldn't think right and we was only teenagers in a marriage we both didn't want." The king said after a while of silence.

Nyana eyes widen in shocked and disbelief of what her father said. He didn't want to marry her mom? the most important question is didn't he love her? "Did you love my mom..." Nyana asked wanting answers. "I-" The king didn't know what to say as Nyana was just getting angrier.

Nyana never felt this angry in her life not after her father got married to Anethra. "DID YOU LOVE MY MOM!" Nyana yelled out angry tears rushing out of her eyes. "I did Nyana! I did! I loved that women like any other would!" The king yelled back at his daughter.

Nyana just give out a little 'tsk' and shook her head. "Look your mother sacrifice everything for us! Even her own life!" Her father said getting angry at his daughter. "what did she sacrifice huh!? The only thing she sacrifice is leaving me here!" Nyana said as tears was still rolling down her cheeks.

At this point the king was even mad then ever and he couldn't hold back anymore. "SHE SAVED YOU! SHE SAVED US! I DIDN'T ASK FOR HER GETTING KILLED! SHE WAS THE LOVE IF MY LIFE! EVERYTHING I EVER LOVED!" The king yelled out as he started crying to.

"YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL YOU ARE STILL SITTING THERE!" The king yelled again. "AFTER SHE CAME BACK FROM THAT WALK THE CASTLE GOT ATTACKED. SHE STEPPED IN FRONT OF US FOR WE DON'T GET KILLED!" The king yelled again.

"I DIDN'T WANT HER TO DO THAT NO ONE DID! WHEN SHE DID THAT THEY JUST KILLED HER AND LEFT!" The king yelled out as Nyana was in denial if her dear mother.

The king got up and left Nyana there crying on the couch. Her mother sacrifice her life for the kingdom, her dad, and mostly her the daughter she left behind.
