30. Other Worldly

The whole of the next week RuQian was stared at and nobody even tried to hide the words they said. All the students gave her disgusting looks while some boys stared at her as if she was some piece of meat.

Lan Xie and Amy wanted to yell at them but they knew that just correcting a few people's opinion would not change anything. RuQian did not even care about these kids. She was preparing herself for the board and executives meeting at Zhang Tech.

RuQian wore a black skater dress with black high heels, to give her a nice posture, left her hair open and wore a gold rolex. She kept her makeup minimal with just a mascara and a lip tint. She wanted to give off a mature vibe but also show her innocence.

RuQian had called her grandfather to let him know she had already started from the mansion. As it was a sunday, RuQian hoped there wouldn't be a lot of employees but she was wrong.

As soon as RuQian entered she saw most of the employees in the company. The reception was almost empty so she thought there was no one in the company but after she went past the reception she saw how almost every employee was working on a weekend.

When everyone saw a woman wearing a dress enter, they all stared at the woman. Who was this that was so unprofessional, she actually wore a dress like this here?

When the receptionist was about to stop her, RuQian turned in the direction of the elevator and gave a small smile. Ren Wei's footsteps faltered slightly, even the employees were a little flustered. This woman was beautiful but when she smiled she felt other worldly. And it was only a soft smile.

The employees were shocked to see Ren Wei approaching the woman in the dress. Everyone knew Ren Wei was Boss Zhang's secretary. Ren Wei bowed to RuQian after nearing her. A lot of gasps were heard. Who was this woman that Ren Wei bowed to?

"Boss has been waiting for you. The meeting has already started."

RuQian was confused, "Wasn't the meeting at ten? I am here early, how come the meeting has started already?"

Ren Wei gave a smirk, "Boss had to discuss something with the shareholders first." Those old hags were acting up again. He wanted to warn the young miss but old master had instructed him not to. Old master wanted to see if the young miss would be able to deal with them. "This way." Ren Wei led RuQian into the elevator.

"Isn't today a holiday?" Ren Wei understood what RuQian was asking about.

"Some employee was able to find out that all the shareholders and executives would be present today for a meeting so the employees wanted to show they work efficiently."

RuQian shook her head, "What a waste of energy." Ren Wei raised his eyebrows. All the shareholders, executives and even the boss after hearing why the employees had come in to work had a pleasant expression, this was a very odd choice of words. RuQian saw how Ren Wei was confused but chose not to answer. She did not like explaining herself but little did she know the grey eyed man understood her words very clearly.

When he found out RuQian would be going to the Zhang company for a meeting to discuss her modelling, he told his hacker team to get to work. Now he was pleased after seeing her. This would have been his reaction too if he was in her place. His thin lips spread into a soft smile. The assistant in front of him shuddered slightly, he had always seen his boss's cruel smile but it had been a long while since he had seen an actual smile on his boss's face.

The reason why RuQian reacted this way was, if employees worked on the weekend just to impress the higher ups they would not work the next few days properly. They would lose the vigour they had today as there was no one to impress, they would have used their holiday while working so they would not even have a day of rest before the following week and they would slack off. Only great businessmen would be able to think about these factors.

Yet this girl, no she was a woman for him, this woman was clearly able to realize this. He was getting more and more interested in her now. If his observations were correct she had a very high business acumen, she was the best example of beauty with brains. But he did not understand one thing, why did she want to become a model when she could work in Zhang Tech? In fact he would hire her without any questions asked.

He was not able to find out any more details as, RuQian kept all her plans of wanting to become an actor, wanting to start a business all in her head. No one other than her knew about these plans. She did not want to leave any traces, if someone found out, mainly Su Ting, about her plans they could be foiled. She was going to start her business in secret, she was going to hide it from her grandfather because he would insist on helping but she wanted to do this on her own.

It wasn't a difficult task. She had managed Zhang Tech all on her own in her past life. After she entered the company in her past life, her grandfather helped her take up the ropes at first but later he stopped meddling. The CEO was her grandfather but only in name, she was the one who made all the decisions. Those old cronies wanted to stop her but after she had taken the reign the business was booming, so even if they wanted to object they had to shut their trap.

But she did not know what happened after her death. Frankly about the company, RuQian was a little scared to know. Her grandfather was too old at the time to have been able to fight off those evil, money grabbing pests.

Just as RuQian was about to allow that thought to form a ding sounded. They had arrived. It was show time!
