Friends (Part 1)

Near the 7th Spawning gate of Helheim.

An influx of players have started appearing in the world of Helheim. Hoping to discover something new. Most of them being players, who had some levels in demon or angel racial classes.

Multiple groups of players were standing and checking out a majestic stone gate, that was visible for players to see.

The gate looked broken and had chains crawling all over it, binding it to the ground, as if it had something sealed within it. That the chains wanted to not let go.

There was no door, not anything in the gate. Players, who don't have angelic and demonic racial classes can go through the chained gate fine. However, those who have demonic and angel racial class, as soon as they go through the gate are given the choice, to either enter the dungeon, that was named [Realm of Sin], or leave. Once you accept the offer to go to the [Realm of Sin] dungeon. You'll vanish from the gate, while those, who reject are not sent anywhere. If you reject it once, then, even if you go through the gate again, you won't be given the option to enter the Dungeon. Making you basically, unable to have the chance to enter the Dungeon again.

That's why, many players looked a little puzzled. After all, no one knew what was inside it. It has only been a few hours since it was Discovered. And the players that have entered into the Dungeon has still yet to get out. No player wanted to lose levels, by dying in the hands of an unknown Dungeon, that might or might not contain world enemy from the names of it.

Everyone was aware of the most powerful bosses. The world enemies, that can make even top guilds take a step back.

There were no prior updates, before this type of Dungeon has appeared. There was no information given by the Dev's. Or the official website of Yggdrasil. It was totally unkown and left for players to discover. Which in the most cases was normal. However, before this gate had appeared, this place was useless basically..

Only players, who had no guild or clans, spawned here on the 7th gate. And there was no Dungeon before in the map. So, it has made the entire Yggdrasil community to be curious about this new Dungeon, that not only had a level requirment, which most of the Dungeons do. But also a racial requirement. Which was something unheard of.

It can be seen that, most of the players gathered here had tails behind them, or horns that sprouted out of their head. Some even had demonic heads. Like a cow, bird and goat or outright had no face. Most of the players here didn't had an humanoid facial features, except a few, that had the racial classes in angel or pure demon.

Multiple heteromorph guilds, that had a lot of angelic and demonic players, were having discussions outside of the dungeons entrance, they were planning to enter the Dungeon.

The players were chatting out loud, and there can be seen multiple groups forming around the dungeon. However, there wasn't much animosity between them, due to them being all heteromorphs, they were all even helping each other out with their strategy. And talking to each other to gather more information from each other, which was useless to say.

Amidst these large guilds, and clans of players, that had formed planning and strategizing about the Dungeon. Were two players, that were isolated.

Well.. to be more accurate, they isolated themselves by staying further from the other players.

"Ulbert San, don't you think, going into the Dungeon alone would be dangerous ? Why don't you join one of the temporary party, that has been found ?" A player, who's body was nothing but skeleton wearing an academic black robe asked, looking at the player beside him.

" Don't worry Momonga, i would be fine. And I'm waiting for someone to arrive. He said, he is coming here. So, I'll be joining him. " The other player replied. He was a player, who resembled a humanoid goat. Two demonic looking golden horns sprouted from his head, He was dressed in a black suit and a velvet cap covered his hairy Mane of a head. The right side of his face was covered with a golden mask. The player looked evil and demonic. One can determine just from his looks, that he has invested a lot of racial classes in demon.

"Oh? Is that your mysterious friend, you always talk about ? The one you said has even more magical attack, then you ?" Momonga, the bony overlord asked, looking at him with suspicion. After all, ulbert was not someone, who can get along with anyone. So, this player has to be a little special to make ulbert, think of him as a friend.

" Yes! I asked him, wether he is coming to explore the Dungeon or not. And he said, he'll be coming. So, i asked to join him."

" And he agreed ? Didn't you said that, he has some crazy women always surrounding him ?" Momonga asked, remembering the words ulbert said to him on one particular day.

"Well... He does have some crazy women surrounding him. But being with him is far better, then going to join some other party to explore the Dungeon. " Ulbert being the person he was, not good with others, was adamant on going with his only friend that was still not in any guild or clan.

" Is that so.. but i still don't understand, how you, as a demon, who always says you are on the bad side, is willing to become good friends with someone who is angel. Didn't you said last time that, your goal is ' to plunge all the worlds into darkness, by consuming the light'. " Momonga said, reminiscing about all the cringe chunnibyo things Ulbert had said to him.

" Fufufufu... He is not my friend, Momonga, he is my Arch Rival. He is the main hero of my story, that i need to surpass. And once i do that.. hahahah, i will be the most powerful magic castor!" Ulbert said with a menacing laugh, laughing like a 3rd rate villain, spreading his arms and clenching his claws.

These two right now, were chatting with each other casually, as they waited for a certain player to arrive. Their appearence was evident of their heteromorph race. Hearing their conversation, it was easy to tell, who these two were.

Momonga, the magic castor of death and Ulbert Alain Odle, The world disaster.

They were both, the members of a newly formed guild, Ainz Oal Gown. In fact, the guild was formed just 3 days ago. And they had recently conquered a Guild based dungeon. Making them have a guild base now. However, instead of being in their guild base, customising and stabilizing it. They were here, looking at the odd Dungeon, that has just sprouted out of nowhere, yesterday.

Looking at the huge Pillars that look like gate, momonga can't help but Marvel at it's mysteriousness. Although, the world of Yggdrasil was filled to the brim with mysterious and new things to discover. Something sprouting out of nowhere, was still a new experience for all the players.

"It's mysterious, isn't it ?" Momonga said, looking at the giant 200 meter tall and huge gate, that many players were going in and vanishing. There were even some small clans, that were going in. However, the huge guilds were still busy, preparing and strategizing.

" Yes it is! That's why! I think this Dungeon must have many rewards. Maybe even a world class item!" Ulbert replied, enthusiastically waving his claws in motion.

" You mean something similar to the [Throne of Kings] might be inside it ?" Momonga asked curious about ulberts answer.

" Ufufufu.. momonga, think about it. The Dungeons name is [Realm of Sin] does it not ring any bell ?"

Momonga was in a deep thought for a second before he looked at Ulbert with a little shock in the eyes, and he then smashed his hand and made a gesture of understanding.

" So, you think, this might be related to the world enemies, [The Lord of Seven Deadly Sins] ? "

To momongas question, Ulbert didn't immediately replied, instead he looked at the gate before replying.

" You remember, that defeating the lord of the seven deadly sins has a chance of dropping a world item right ? And i think, this Dungeon might have one of the twenty in it." 

" Are you kidding me?" Momonga shouted a little. As his bony skeletal mouth opened a little. 

" Hahah.. if i can get one of the twenty... Heheheh.. then.." Ulbert laughed with an eerie voice, loosing himself into his dark thoughts. Thinking about all the things he can do, if he acquired one of the most powerful world items. 

However, soon his monologue was broken by momonga. 

"Just 2 days ago, there was only 7th Spawning gate here. Now there's this huge gate, that leads to an unknown Dungeon. Dev's must have really pulled few all nighters to make this happen in 2 days, and without even releasing a new patch. " Momonga held his bony chin in a thinking position, as he scrutinized the huge gate that had chains all over it.

"Fuck the Dev's! All they do is make things hard for us, by creating those gacha items! If not for those gacha items, i wouldn't have lost my precious divine gear last time, when i was pked by those weak players in Asgard." Ulbert spat,  waving his claws, as if he wanted to cut the Dev's up in anger. Playing his chunnibyo personality well. 

Momonga can only laugh, at ulberts chunnibyo reply. A few weeks ago, Ulbert has lost one of his precious divine gear, due to getting hunted by some players for exp. Although, Ulbert was powerful, the players had many gacha items that cornered him into an unfair situation. Which resulted in him getting pked.

However, there was another reason that Ulbert was angry about gacha items.

" Ulbert San, are you still salty about not getting the [Pearl of Ruination] ?" Momonga asked, while showing a mischevious smiling emoticon.

Ulbert flinched at his question, but he used his own emoticon, shrugging off and replied

" I'm not salty about it. Why would I be salty about it. Even if i don't get the [Pearl of Ruination], I'm still powerful. " The tone of ulberts voice was very shaky, as if he is holding his anger back.

" Well.. it's near impossible to get the [Pearl of Ruination]. After all, the chance to get it on the gacha was less then 0.01 percentage. To get one, you'll probably need to spend millions of yen in the gacha. " Momonga sighed, his voice seemed a little tired. He was tired of playing gachas and getting shitty rewards.

"Hmm.. and even if someone got it, I'm sure they won't be able to create, what i was thinking about anyway. " Ulbert trying to forget about it, started another conversation" Did you tried going through the gate, momonga ?"

" Haha.. i tried Ulbert San, but my ruler of death class is as expected, not a demonic class. " Momonga sighed, at the end. He had come here to see the Mysterious Dungeon and if possible go. Although, he was already aware that it would be near impossible for him, considering he was an overlord. Not a demon, like ulbert, who has heavily invested into demonic racial classes nor was he an fallen angel, like Luci★fer, who has heavily invested into angel racial class.

Momongas bony hand scratched the bald head of his skull, he Awkwardly laughed a little. He really wanted to see, what was inside the Dungeon, after all, Yggdrasil was the game to discover new things. And exploration was one of the key points of the game.

However, he was not that sad. Because he still had the new guild base to look forward to

Just like that, Momonga and Ulbert continued to talk for another 5 minutes. Until, they heard a commotion coming from the players, further away from them..

(AN: Happy new year everyone! i hope this year becomes the best for everyone. also, sorry for not uploading. but i was busy due to new year.. also, i know many people think that this story is shit, but It's my first time writing something. so, i think it's fine for me to make stupid decisions in writing right ? and i think I'm improving my writing as days pass by. i only hope to give my best and write something good. by the time new world Arc starts, I'm sure I'll be able to write atleast decently. and give a good experience to all of you. )
