Chapter 94

The two sisters, Nami and Nuo, were visibly puzzled. Nami, always the more inquisitive one, finally voiced the question on their minds. "Where are your wings? Why are they missing?"

Nuo shared her sister's confusion, still unsure if she had imagined the massive wings that had appeared and then vanished. She hadn't seen wings before, but now she was questioning her own memory.

Arthur didn't respond immediately. Instead, he asked, "Have you ever heard of Devil Fruits?"

"Devil Fruits?" the two sisters echoed, looking uncertain.

Nuo shook her head slightly, clarifying, "We've heard of Devil Fruits before. They're said to be legendary treasures of the sea, extremely rare."

Arthur nodded. "That's right."

"So, your wings—are they related to a Devil Fruit?" Nami asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Yes," Arthur confirmed. "Devil Fruits come in three main types. The rarest are the Logia types. Then there are Paramecia, which are the most common, and Zoan fruits."

He paused for effect before continuing, "Each one grants incredible power, and I've eaten one of the rarest of them all—the Thunder Fruit, a top-tier Logia type."

"Logia? Thunder Fruit?" Nami repeated, her eyes widening. In the East Blue, they knew very little about such things, only that these fruits could grant strange powers but cursed the eater to never swim again.

"Is it really that rare?" Nami asked, her intrigue growing.

Arthur chuckled knowingly. "Oh, it's very rare. My Thunder Fruit is valued at 4.5 billion Berries by the World Government."

Nami's eyes lit up with shock, and money symbols seemed to sparkle in her gaze. "F-four... Four and a half... BILLION Berries?!"

She looked like she'd seen a treasure trove, reminding Arthur of how Sanji reacted after two years of not seeing a woman.

"Yep, 4.5 billion. That's what the World Government offered for it," Arthur said, amused by Nami's reaction.

But in an instant, her gleeful expression shifted. Her eyes went from sparkly to furious white, and before Arthur could react, she punched him square in the face.

"Damn it!" Arthur groaned, rubbing his head, confused about how he'd let that happen. Even though his Observation Haki was still active, he hadn't sensed the punch coming.

"You idiot! You ate something worth 4.5 billion! How could you waste something so valuable?" Nami raged, her tears welling up as she thought about the unfathomable fortune. "I've never even seen a hundred million Berries in my life, and you just ate 4.5 billion like it was nothing!"

Arthur grinned, still holding his head. "It's only 4.5 billion. My country has mountains of gold I can use whenever I want."

Nami froze, her eyes sparkling with hope again. "Gold? You have gold? A lot of it?"

Arthur nodded casually. "Yep. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of tons."

Nami's jaw dropped, and Nuo, who had been quietly observing, gasped as well. The sheer amount of wealth was beyond anything they could imagine.

Arthur then began to explain the story of the legendary liar, Rolando, and how the fabled Golden City lay in the sky. As its king, he claimed, he had access to all the gold he desired.

Nuo was amazed. "You really are a king."

Meanwhile, Nami sat in disbelief, her voice breaking as she muttered, "So much gold..."

After a moment, Nami snapped out of her daze. "Wait—what does this have to do with your wings disappearing? Why don't other angels have that ability?"

Arthur smiled, raising his right hand. His fingers transformed into crackling lightning before disappearing into the air. "Because I ate a Logia-type fruit, I can turn parts of my body into my element. Like this."

Nami gasped. "So, your wings were made of... thunder?"

Arthur nodded. "Exactly. I turned my wings into lightning and merged them with the specialty of Sky Island, Thunder Shells."

"What's a Thunder Shell?" Nami asked, and Arthur patiently explained the technology of Sky Island, the people who lived there, and how they used Dial technology for various purposes.

Both sisters were awestruck as Arthur explained the wonders of the sky, learning more about Devil Fruits and the mysterious Grand Line. For Nami, who had always dreamed of charting the world, this was both thrilling and daunting.

But despite her fascination, a shadow lingered in her eyes. Her dream of mapping the world felt almost impossible, burdened by the oppressive weight of Arlong.

Arthur noticed her change in expression. "Nami... what's on your mind?"

But Nami didn't answer, her face growing somber as she kept her thoughts to herself.
