Chapter 162: The Truth Of The World I

...........

At the very center of the Island was a tree that was beyond majestic, breaching the clouds. No, it was more like only its base was breaching the clouds, and its top was nowhere to be seen, seemingly in sought of the sun.

"Treasure Tree Adam," Yovan noted with a smile. Indeed, before him was the tree of which Seizon No Hono was made of.

"It's amazing," Kaku remarked, eyeing its majestic beauty. Its wood, he once used to help build Seizon No Hono.

"What's its relation to Sunlight Tree Eve?" Viola asked with curiosity, and the others nodded, also curious. They've started to assume Yovan knows everything considering his focus on studying history.

"They're... Husband and Wife in a sense, mirrors on opposite sides, infinitely reflecting each other," His answer was vague but even more so intriguing.

"Mm? I don't get it?" Pudding was confused.

"Well, all you have to know is that they're polar opposites to each other, one representing the end and the other representing the beginning, but since they mirror each other, the opposite can also be true," Yovan responded vaguely.

"Well, now I'm curious," Kalifa said with a light of interest in her eyes.

"Oh? Do you all want to know the truth? The Truth Of The World?" Yovan asked with amusement, "I'm certain it will blow your minds."

"I'm looking forward to it," Kalifa nodded, and so did everyone else. Yovan already told them a few things about the void century and the erased history, so their curiosity was already picked.

Now they were even more curious. Who wouldn't want to know about such an attractive point in history? They say curiosity killed the cat for a reason. Curiosity is a very strong drive, and now it was driving even Yovan, albeit for a different end goal.

Seizon No Hono sailed towards the giant Island, specifically towards the dock. Due to the fact that there is a giant cliff isolating the Island from visitors, a small town was built on the sea level to receive visitors.

If the Strangers thought that Seizon No Hono was big, then the ships in the giant dock broke their imagination, ships many times bigger than the Strangers' Galleon. They were the ships of giants.

However, there were some small ships here and there as not many people visit Elbaf due to the numerous deadly dangers around, being one of the most deadly areas in New World, just not for Giants.

The Strangers leaped off the ship, leaving it empty without protection as usual. The feathers in the ship were its greatest protection.

"Bwahahahah, the battle yesterday was amazing!" By the side was a giant just resting on the ground, drinking and having a laugh.

"Orin is amazing as usual, but Brod was not bad. I'm sure his children are proud of him!" A friendly giant by his side agreed.

"Oh, they are! I heard his eldest child swore to challenge Orin and achieve what his father could not!" Another giant said.

"Ah, the bravery of the young," A giant let out a sigh, "Alas, he's still young. I'm afraid he will join his father in Valhalla."

"Orin is said to have lost only once in his entire life, and that's against Prince Loki, so I'm afraid the child has no hope!" One of the giants nodded before taking a gulp of piss-like wine.

"At least his father will be proud of him when they meet in Valhalla! Bwahhahaha!" One of the giants let out a laugh as he poured wine all over himself while drinking, "And..."

Then there was silence as the giant caught the figure of someone from the corner of his eyes, a tall human with long gorgeous golden hair.

"And?" The other giant noticed his friend's expression and turned around to also freeze in shock. It seems that Yovan's reputation precedes him, still holding strong even in the lands of giants.

"There is strangely a lot of humans around," Kalifa noted, literally. She was taking notes, a habit of hers.

"There is, and the giants seem to be very welcoming of humans," Reiju nodded, noticing that while there were mostly giant structures about, there are also some small human structures.

"Are those the endless stairs?" Laffitte remarked, attracting everyone's attention to look at a pathway ahead, endless stairs leading up to the real Elbaf.

"Let's go," Yovan wasn't too interested in wasting his time in this small town.

The atmosphere in the town was very weird as there was a lot of noise before they came, then there was silence, a silence that continued until they disappeared into the endless stairs.

"Cap! I will go ahead to make sure the road is safe!" Without waiting for a response, Laffitte leaped across the stairs, quickly vanishing into the horizon.

"Then let's race to the Tree," Yovan said with a smile, "Whoever is first, I can grant a wish, even deciding Laffitte's new bounty isn't a problem."

"Huh? You can do that?" Kalifa asked with confusion.

"Yeah, the Marines are close friends of mine," Yovan shrugged.

"I'll go ahead first then!" Capone Bege had never run so fast in his life. The prospect of changing Laffitte's bounty to a hundred thousand Beli just like that day sounded so fucking alluring.

It wasn't only he who found the prospect interesting as the Strangers vanished one after another. Only Laffitte had no idea what was coming.

Yovan also tapped the ground and vanished, but in contrast to them, he wasn't moving fast, he just teleported without having to scatter.

As long as there is a feather, there is a way, so Yovan appeared in the middle of an enormous palace, standing on the shoulder of someone, the shoulder of a giant.

Most of the giants wear Viking-style clothes, Yovan noticed, so they don't wear much, preferring to show their bulging muscles.

This one, however, was different as he was adorned in pretty magnificent clothing, seeming very majestic, especially with his gigantic crown.

"Hm?" The giant had his eyes clothes in the vacant hall, but as if he sensed Yovan, he opened his eye, his other eye hidden behind an eyepatch.

Yovan leaped off the shoulder of the giant and landed far away to stand before who he knows to be the King of the giants, "Excuse my Rudeness."

One of the feathers in the King's clothes was his gateway to appearing here, and his perhaps unrivaled Observation Haki is what allowed him to detect one of the reasons he came here.

His goal was the King of the Giants, someone who lives in isolation, allowing his son, Loki, to govern in his stead. Rarely if ever does he leave the comfort of his own throne.

Before him stood a giant like none other, much more of a giant than any other Yovan had seen so far. His hair was very long and frosty, as if not seeing the sun for decades brought upon him a freezing chill.

Even what appears of his skin seemed frosty, complementing his majesty, especially with his enormous long white beard.

"Who are you?" The King of Giants asked.

"Yovan Night, some call me the Stranger, some Hades, God of Death, and some Apollo, the God of the Sun. It's pleasure to meet you, King of Giants, Ymir." Yovan was quite courteous. He came with peace after all.

"God of the Sun," Ymir narrowed his eyes at such words, "Very well, Night, what is that you want?"

"I'd like to be granted access to the giants' grand library," Yovan made his request, choosing more diplomatic methods instead of just sneaking into the library, something he can certainly do.

"Your ability to appear here means that you can also appear in the grand library without needing access," The King shook his head, "So speak, what is it that you truly want?"

Well, he was quite wise and certainly strong as he looked at Yovan as an equal, seemingly sensing the power within the little monster before him, 'But this is not what I was waiting for.' The king kept those thoughts to himself.

Yovan let out a beaming smile, realizing that things will be much easier than he expected. The King's manners were very casual. It also seemed like he was half asleep, yet he still speaks clearly.

"I'm very interested in history, or in the truth of the world as it can paint a clear picture of the future for me, so I have to ask you, How long have you been living?" That was his first question.

It was quite the surprise to the King, even waking him up a little as he expected a very different question, so he contemplated for a little before responding, "A little bit more than a thousand years. Now, let me ask, what's your goal?"

"Oh?" Yovan let out a smile, "War, a war like never before, a war with only two parties... I Against the World."
