Chapter 1Prologue.

The secluded building of the infamous Darkhand Association, always left untouched by outsiders, loomed like a ghostly monolith.

Today, it pulsed with a foreboding energy that seemed to seep into the very walls. The hallway stretched endlessly ahead, dimly lit by flickering fluorescent lights. Each flicker cast eerie shadows that danced across the cold, metallic surfaces.

The sound of footsteps echoed through the silent hall, rhythmic and unnerving.

Three figures moved forward, their presence magnified by the oppressive stillness. Leading them was Kelvin, the vice president of the association's information branch.

His nose scrunched up and his brows creased, contorted by a mix of anxiety and dread as he kept staring ahead.

He had been to this area some times before but never felt like what he was feeling today—a strange feeling of impending doom.

It was as if there was something waiting for him—something he wouldn't want to see happening, but he couldn't quite put a finger on it.

His palm balled into a fist, clenching as hard as he could. Cold sweat trickled down his spine.

His dark blue hair clung to his damp forehead, the sweat a testament to the growing unease gnawing at him. He glanced at the two men flanking him—both senior members of the organization, their stony expressions betraying no hint of the tension Kelvin felt.

"Get a grip," he muttered under his breath, clenching his fists harder until his nails dug into his palms.

As they neared the armored door at the end of the corridor, Kelvin's breath hitched. A low, guttural moan reached his ears—a sound of pure agony. His heart stuttered, his steps faltering.

"What's the holdup?" barked the bald man to his left, his broad shoulders and tattooed scalp casting an intimidating silhouette under the flickering light. He grabbed Kelvin's arm roughly. "Move it."

Kelvin jerked his arm free with a growl, his eyes darting toward the heavy door. A bead of cold sweat trickled down his spine. Something—or someone—was behind that door. Something he wasn't ready to face.

The taller man on his right knocked on the iron door, impatience etched into his sharp features. Even that man was unaware of what was going on beyond the gate, all he was told to was bring Kelvin here, and he did.

Knock. Knock.

The sound reverberated like a death knell.

"Hm."

A calm hum sounded from within the room, making the two men push the door open. They had been doing this for a while now, bringing people here one by one.

Kelvin, however, was too preoccupied with his thoughts to hear the hum. All he heard was the door creaking ominously as the heavy bolt shifted, its groan like the wail of a tortured spirit.

Badump-Badump

Kelvin's heart hammered against his ribs violently, his instincts screamed at him to turn and run, but his feet refused to obey. He stood frozen, his wide eyes fixed on the slowly opening door.

As soon as the door opened, the pungent stench of blood and decay poured out, assaulting his senses. He gagged, the bile rising in his throat.

And then he saw them.

Ten men hung from the ceiling like grotesque marionettes, their bodies battered and broken. Blood dripped from their mangled limbs, pooling on the floor below. Their groans filled the air, each one a haunting symphony of pain. Kelvin's heart dropped as his gaze landed on two familiar faces among the condemned.

"No..." he whispered, his voice barely audible. These were his friends—men he'd shared drinks and laughter with. Now, they were nothing more than bloody husks, dangling like grim trophies.

Their features were undefinable as their whole body was covered in red. The flickering red light didn't help with the tension.

Kelvin tried to think of what was happening. Why it was happening, but he couldn't understand anything.

He turned to look at the two people following him, thinking if it was part of their scheme, but all he saw behind him was a closed iron door. They were gone.

All they were told to do was bring Kelvin here and nothing else, so they did just that.

"Do you see it now, little brother?"

Suddenly, a voice, cold, detached, and unyielding, cut through the room like a blade, making Kelvin shiver as his gaze finally turned toward the person who had ordered those two senior members to do his bidding.

It was Alex Matthew, seated on a throne-like sofa at the center of the room. He was the boss of the Darkhand Association, his presence exuded an aura of cold authority. His white shirt was smeared with blood, a stark contrast to his silver-white hair that glimmered under the dim, flickering light. His fists rested on the arms of the sofa, knuckles bruised and bloodied, the evidence of his handiwork.

Kelvin's breath hitched. The sheer weight of Alex's presence crushed him. Alex didn't need to look up; his very posture commanded respect and fear. The flickering light cast shadows over his piercing blue eyes, making them glow with a chilling intensity.

"Do you see it now?" Repeated Alex.

Kelvin's legs trembled as he stepped forward, his gaze locked on the broken bodies of his friends. His fists clenched, but his strength faltered.

"Why...?" he croaked, his voice breaking. "Why did you do this? They were my friends!"

Alex leaned back slightly, his eyes narrowing as he regarded Kelvin.

"Friends?" He gestured lazily toward the hanging men. "Traitors. They sold us out. They would've gotten us all killed."

"No..." Kelvin shook his head, his voice trembling. "Not them. You're wrong."

He could still remember how just yesterday all three of them were playing at his house. Not a single action of theirs was something a traitor would do. There was no way Kelvin would believe it.

Alex's expression hardened. He stood, his imposing figure towering over Kelvin. Blood dripped from his fingertips, splattering onto the floor as he took a step forward. "Open your eyes, Kelvin. Why would I lie to you?"

Before Kelvin could respond, a cold voice cut through the air.

"Why bother wasting time on this, brother?"

Kelvin's head snapped toward the source. A man stepped out of the shadows, his tanned skin and blonde hair catching the faint light. He held a pistol, its barrel glinting ominously.

He was wearing dark green shorts and Hawaiian t-shirts along with slippers. A red goggle resting on the bridge of his nose that he kept pushing up.

His overall looks were that of a delinquent, as he stood with his body tilted to the side.

That man's words caused even Alex to turn to the guy, and even when he saw the pistol pointed at Kelvin, his expression didn't change.

Alex knew that this was what he should do, as death and torture were the only luxuries they had for their enemies and their supporters, but still... the one in front of them was their brother.

"W-Wait—" Kelvin tried to yell, but...

Bang

He didn't even have time to react as the bullet tore through him. Pain exploded in his chest, and his vision blurred. He collapsed to the ground, his blood pooling beneath him.

The tanned-skinned guy, after shooting down Kelvin, turned to look at Alex, who was just staring at the corpse with an expression portraying regret.

Tch

The guy clicked his tongue with a frown. 'You have always been like that—showing all your care on the younger one.' He muttered inwardly, irritation clear on his face. 'You were the one who forced me...'

But just as things seemed to have ended…

Tap-Tap-Tap

A series of hurried footsteps echoed down the hall.

The heavy door slammed open, revealing Sophie, her blonde hair disheveled and her royal blue eyes wide with urgency.

"Alex! Kelvin wasn't the real traitor!" she cried, her voice laced with panic.

Alex's eyes turned to her, the tension in the room palpable. Sophie's gaze darted to the hanging bodies, as she added, "Our information was being tampered with by an unknown organization—"

Her words paused as her eyes locked onto Kelvin's dead body. His eyes colorless as he lay over a pool of blood. Her world seemed to have paused as she turned to look at Alex, her eyes watering up as she realized that she was a bit too late.

It was Sophie, Alex's girlfriend, and the president of the information department.

Just a few seconds ago, their cyber team found out that the information they had received was tampered with by an organization that wasn't even known to this world—meaning it was stronger than them.

It was true that there were eleven traitors in their organization. But not all of that information was true.

It had taken them a while, but Sophie and others were able to decipher the tampered proofs and find out the truth—something that Sophie rushed here to warn Alex about.

But the next second, her eyes widened in horror as she saw something.

"No!!!!!!!"

Sophie screamed, rushing toward Alex, but her steps weren't fast enough.

Alex, who had his gaze fixed on the despair-filled royal blue eyes of his girlfriend, saw the reflection of the only man standing beside him, pointing his gun at him.

'Ah…'

A glint of realization shone in his eyes as things finally made sense, but the next second...

BANG

Level 1 to Infinity: My Bloodline Is the Ultimate Cheat!

They shattered his life. Now, he’ll break the world. Ethan had it all, until his best friend and the woman he loved betrayed him, leaving him crippled and forgotten. Three years of suffering later, he clawed his way to one final, desperate act… and the universe answered. A hidden quest. A second chance. A return to the moment everything began. Now, Ethan is back, on the eve of Ethereal’s launch, the world’s first fully immersive VR game and the battlefield where legends are forged. Last time, he played fair. This time? He’s armed with years of knowledge: every exploit, every secret quest, every broken mechanic that will let him climb straight to the top. But when he logs in, something is off. The system forces him into an unwanted class—Druid, the game’s biggest joke. The kind of class people pick as a dare and regret immediately. Yet as Ethan digs deeper, the truth shakes him. [Congratulations! You have unlocked the Divine Bloodline: King of Elves!] Ethan stared at the screen, unblinking. “…The hell?” The Druid class was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none—a scattered mess of abilities that mimicked other classes but never truly excelled. Their bear form lacked the raw defense of a proper tank. Their panther form was weaker than a rogue. Their healing fell short of a priest, and their magic couldn’t compare to a mage’s devastating spells. Most players abandoned the class early, realizing they could never compete at the highest level. And yet, Ethan’s stats are off the charts. His talents are absurd. His potential is beyond anything he’s ever seen. The system has given him something no other Druid ever had—a divine bloodline, legendary abilities, and a growth rate that defies logic. If Druids were meant to be weak, then Ethan was the exception that would rewrite history. He’s not just here to reclaim his throne. He’s here to take everything. Factions will rise. Empires will fall. The strongest will thrive, and the weak will perish. And the ones who betrayed him? They won’t live to do it again.

So the writing quality is decent. Though lack of proper punctuation does make it confusing sometimes. Overall it’s readable and doesn’t feel like a translation. The story is pretty good. You get fairly invested in the story. I’d say the only real issue is the only character you get invested into is the mom in the beginning. The MC is quite bland. Doesn’t feel very human. Sophie the system girlfriend is just the MC worshipping type. Which once again anyone who’s had a girlfriend/ wife understands that’s a pretty unrealistic quality. Even when someone loved you the whole worship/ none of their own thoughts outside how great the MC is, is a bit of a character fault. I’d say there are two more faults that caused me to not go further with the story, and these might be deal breakers for other readers as well. Unfortunately these tend to be heavily overused on WN: 1.) very redundant writing. I think this comes from more inexperienced writers trying to hit word counts in their chapters. However there are a lot of “filler” paragraphs in the chapters. Such as saying the same thing multiple times in a different way. As well as reiterating the same thing, or re-explaining things multiple times. Unfortunately the writing is not very concise. Even in the first 30 chapters I found myself skimming over multiple paragraphs as a result. 2.) possibly the most overused device on webnovel and something that I personally detest as a reader. However, different people like different things. The “leaving the reader in suspense trope”. Prime example is chapter 26. MC gets a gacha spin, and the writer really draws out the scene. We’re talking half a chapter to just spinning a roulette wheel; mc and Sophie’s emotions, fear, etc… Just as the wheel stops, time skips and the reader doesn’t know what the wheel landed on. As a reader that’s just annoying. Don’t have me read 8000 words on a roulette spin to skip what it is. As I said maybe some people enjoy this device; however, I personally detest it. As a reader I prefer experiencing the world as the characters do. Unfortunately this novel has had quite a few instances of storyline incongruity. Where time skips forward, then a chapter later we find out what happened during the mini skip. Anyway the story isnt bad, and for more patient readers it may be a masterpiece. As for me personally some of the writing elements are not very attractive. As a result i wouldnt read, nor would i suggest it.

i read upto 48th chapter still not getting any gist of what is happening...like there are lot of holes on the plot 1st would be why did the goddess had him reincarnated.. what's his mission in this world 2.what are the functions of system like he's not even using it much does he level up or something while he kills monster in his dream or does he have to cultivate it to get stronger with system just offering just points for his use 3. power system is not explained properly i don't even know what his mothers level is ..i don't know maybe I missed it somewhere...till near 50th chapter i don't no ..like how strong normal people are and how strong the students who just entered the top college for ultra genius like of mc 4.growth details in the skipped 2 years atleast you could have mentioned like how he plans to grow strong apart from he is strong no one knows how strong and what he had to do for that ....these are factors the readers and character interact...character development nothing is portrayed.. 5.and what happened to the guy from church like lucais and Vincent or something don't remember the names .like mc had made some major plan to help his mother...they left it there with who knows what happened...and what about the unconscious children from the awakening arc what about them nothing explained. what happened after... a bit more details would help.. seriously now I feel like author is just introducing something and making the reader feel like he is about do something and then puff he just leaves well this what I felt author my humble review is that don't leave any content you introduce and leave it there without any information regarding it and then dropping it.. because instead of building suspense it with break others intrest ...plot wise it has good potential

A good book which has a very nice balance of story and romance. From the first few chapters one can get a proper vibe of the book. This sets up a pretty good foundation for the rest of the story. The story never tries to be other than it was introduced in the beginning, as a result we have a very grounded approach to the story progression. The mc is op but that’s never the concern of this book, the main focus is building relationships and personalities. The book adds a lot of new elements to the ‘Extra’ genre. We start with basic mc dying but intrestingly he wasn’t the one who met the Godess, someone else wished for the mc to be transmigrated. But the story he is sent to is a transmigrated Villain story. Its just intresting to see how the author just subtly incorporated this into the story. Normally I am not in the favor is systems but the system in this book has a unique charm and personality. Its actually a partner than a robotic quest generator. Writing quality of the book is actually pretty good with a good pace. The mc has a smart personality and does not act interact with the other 2 protagonists. He has in own goals and isn’t scared to change the events of the story. Nor does he care about the plot. Another important pro is that the author is actually active in communication. Even though the book has 160+ chapters , I still have a high chance of getting a reply from the author for a comment on the 40th chapter. This is very rare for most books. Again there are always some flaws like the academy tag, just being a plot device for introducing characters. I would also appreciate a bit more slice of life aspect to the story. It would be nice if the personalities and feelings of the FL’s would be more flushed out. I would have also appreciated a bit more world building. Because we somtimes I feel like we are dealing with a more medival vibe with magical devices but the next day our mc is in a amusement park going on a rollercoaster or someone is using a mini recording device to stay the mc. All in all this might not be the most unique book out there but the book knows what niche it is satisfying. And that’s something which I value very much, as from the beginning to the end I am getting what I paid for. This is a very good book for a casual reader and hope more people support and read this book in the future.

Writing Quality is proper just comes down to preference really if one is to get into the brass tacks. Story Development, I ain't really got far just Chapter 82 but yeah as for the story development so far so good, the pacing is steady, not too fast not too slow, a few arcs that are an exciting read nothing too crazy just enjoyable. Can't really comment much on the Character development since I haven't gotten that far, but the MC is well developed, you know what kind of person he is and what he stands for, the others too, you get a general idea of what kind of people they are. Can't comment on update stability since well, I haven't caught up. Don't know much about the World Background as I haven't gotten to the point where it's been delved into, but as for what I've seen the Author has established or defined the world so you get the general idea of what kind of world it is. Overall, you really only going to be able to hate on the book if it really just isn't for you, since the book does satisfy the Niche it wants to satisfy. I can't complain because the only complaints I'd have would be the 'a you problem' type complaints. Nothing one should be complaining about, when getting themselves into books, for example someone reading a romance novel and hating on what the novel is. For instance I was excited when bro massacred the kids at the start, thought he was one cold mf. I was dissapointed when it turned out bro ain't diabolical he just a real stepper fr, an MC that stands on buisness, ain't righteous but ain't a demon neither. I give it 4 stars, 8/10 maybe 9, the story is good, and it's enjoyable if it's what you like.
