Naruto: The Gamer Hokage

"Man, this day was crazy. First, graduation then, Nine Tails, and finally Mizuki's death. If it wasn't for Old Man, I wouldn't be feeling better."

Naruto lay down on the bed and mumbled while staring at the ceiling.

Today was a crazy day indeed. It was a Graduation day.

Because he couldn't perform the Clone Technique, he was unable to graduate. To graduate, he fell into Mizuki's trap and stole the forbidden scroll.

After that, Mizuki revealed the Nine Tails incident and how it was him while in truth, it was sealed inside him.

He was no Nine Tails. He was just Naruto Uzumaki.

But Mizuki was stubborn and it led to Iruka getting seriously injured. It caused him to lose his mind for a moment and create thousands of shadow clones.

Multi Shadow Clone Technique was a Forbidden Technique that he learned from Forbidden Scroll which he stole from the Hokage's Office.

He wasn't trying to kill Mizuki. It's just that he underestimated the power of his shadow clones and Mizuki's stubbornness.

Several of his shadow clones unconsciously used Kunai to stab him. While he was able to dodge a few and deflect some, he was still unable to clear all shadow clones.

He was stabbed so many times at once that he started dying due to some fatal injuries.

After his death, Iruka and Third Hokage began to console Naruto about his first kill. And, at that moment, he also realized something horrible.

Every stab that he landed was reflecting on his mind. Normal, he wouldn't remember his shadow clones' actions unless he was truly focusing on it.

But, at that moment, he had killed someone and that experience was so horrible that it kept appearing in his mind.

Eventually, he was able to calm down thanks to Iruka and Third Hokage. He also confirmed that everything his shadow clones experience and learn, he will be able to learn as well.

While this didn't ring any bells in his mind, Third Hokage told him not to misuse this technique to train. Only then did he understand the true potential of this technique.

His eyes were slowly trying to shut down but deep down, he was afraid. He was afraid that Mizuki would come to haunt him in his dream.

So, he was a bit hesitant to fall asleep.

While he was slowly falling asleep, he missed a strange blue screen that was slowly appearing in front of him.

It was a blue screen with a white bar with a green stripe. It was half filled with green stripes and the more it started filling, the brighter and clearer the screen became.

Next Morning

Naruto woke up early but he had nothing much to do today. Since after the Graduation Exam, he had two days off for registration.

Since he could submit his registration form at any moment, he wasn't in any of a hurry.

But, something strange happened when he was waking up from his bed. At first, his eyes were a bit closed so he thought it was just a small mistake but later, it turned out to be wrong.

After he finished his morning routine, he finally stopped to take notice of a strange blue screen floating in front of him.

[Your Ninja Support System has been rebooted]

[Would you like to begin the tutorial?]

[Yes] [No]

"Am I in some illusion? What the hell is this?" Naruto muttered out loud and he quickly realized something strange happening to him as he began to speak.

"No, if I was inside an illusion, I wouldn't be able to feel it as an illusion. Wait, how was I able to think like this?"

His eyes looked a bit horrified but his expression quickly calmed down which was surprising for someone like him.

"I should ask Iruka Sensei about this. But right now, he should be busy. Maybe I should get ready for the Registration and ask Old Man about this."

"Then again, I want to see what this is all about?"

His thoughts were loud and clear. Even he was surprised that he could think straight like this.

He was sure that it shouldn't be like this. No matter how many times he tried to disagree about his idiocy, he knew that he wasn't smart.

So, for him, it was kind of a miracle.

That's why he was leaning toward exploring this thing even more.

"Genjutsu, was it? I don't remember how that works but I remember Iruka Sensei telling me that Clone Technique is a Genjutsu and I sucked at it."

"So, if this was a Genjutsu I wouldn't be able to come out of it. There is no point in waiting anymore. I should really check this out."

Naruto muttered out loud and raised his hand. He found something interesting as he touched the option 'Yes'.

"Woah!"

His eyes widened as the screen in front of him disappeared and new screens appeared. Each screen had different words on it.

[Gamer 'Naruto Uzumaki' has been identified as the Host of 'Ninja Support System]

[NSS has only one goal and it is to support its Host to become the Strongest Ninja.]

"Is this really true? This better not be a joke." Just the thought of becoming the strongest ninja made Naruto press Next without any hesitation.

However after he pressed it, new screens appeared and the previous screens disappeared.

[NSS has two Major and Several Minor Functions. The Major Two Functions have been embedded in NSS' core while minor Functions can be accessed through certain actions.]

[The Major Functions are the Quest Function and Reward Function]

[Because of Host's Profession, Host has unlocked two Passive Abilities. These abilities can be displayed through a certain Minor Function.]

[Ding! A New Quest has been generated]

This sound surprised Naruto and he suddenly took out his Kunai. But, he didn't see anything else and calmed down.

The new screen was a bit of a surprise. Unlike before, this screen was not only big but also had strange sections dividing the text into a single screen.

[Quest- Unlock the first Minor Function

Description- Host currently has plenty of Minor Functions that are not activated yet. To activate these functions, the Host must look underneath the underneath.

Reward- 500EXP, 5 Skill Points, 10 Stat Points, and One D-Rank Jutsu

Punishment- None

Hint- Look and Understand the things around you.]

At first, he was surprised. Since even he didn't expect it to work like this.

A Quest!

It was a mission, a real mission for a real ninja. He was excited beyond words.

The rewards were quite confusing as well but a certain reward stuck in his mind.

A Jutsu!

A real Jutsu! Well, it might not be real since he didn't know anything about this was real.

But, just the thought of getting a new Jutsu instantly made him accept this Quest.

Well, not like he could refuse it.

There was no option to refuse this quest.

"Yataa!"

Naruto jumped with both of his hands pumped up in the air and shouted.

But the next second, his thoughts suddenly calmed down and his expression gradually changed.

The single thought of a mission made his mind serious even though he didn't know why.

He touched his chin and muttered.

"To unlock a new function, I must look and understand the things around me. But, what does that even mean?"

Naruto looked around him and found several things just as clothes on the ground, a table, a bed, ramen, milk, and other things. But, he didn't understand what he should do next.

Only then, did his mind come up with an idea.

"Since I need to look around and understand things. I should just do that."

Naruto thought to himself and looked at the table. He glared at it first then, he went underneath it and looked around, everywhere.

Suddenly, he noticed a strange thing attached to his table. It was paper that looked like Exploding Tag but it clearly wasn't.

He looked at it for a moment but didn't understand it. But at this moment, a small screen appeared in front of him.

He was surprised. He didn't understand it but his mind was surprisingly calm as it began to think.

"So, does this mean I have to check nine more things? Is that the condition to unlock a new function? Well, I have no option but to try."

Naruto then began to check everything he could find.

Bed, Kunai, Shuriken, Ramen, Milk, Tap, Fridge, Ceiling, and finally his clothes.

[Minor Function- Observe

Description- This function allows the Host to observe secrets and descriptions about any object. It also gives an easy summary of the object for the Host to understand.

Note- Every function improves upon using them. The more you use, the better it gets and the more you get out of it.]
