Ch. 6 Shamelessly Propaganda

When Chiba returned to his seat, Koizumi was still stunned with a dango half hanging out.

With a clatter the dango fell on the table, causing koizumi recovered from the shock. She had always heard about how strong her big brother was, comparing him to the likes of Itachi, but she never saw it first hand. A look of excitement washed over her.

"Brother Chiba, You look so cool!" Koizumi said. This wasn't with rose tinted glasses either, as kurenai also silently agreed with Koizumis.

Drawing his blade, slash and then closing the blade, all the movements are done in one go.

Although most of the people present could not fully see Chiba's sword swing, this does not prevent them from appreciating the beauty of this kind of swordsmanship.

The grace of his deadly sword and the aura of calmness was enough to strike them with awe.

"No matter how cool you are, you can't fill your belly with it. Hurry up and eat more dangos…" Chiba said, still annoyed by Asuma's threat.

Hearing that, Koizumi smiled and started putting the dango on his plate

"Brother Chiba, you can eat these ones too! You need your strength for the ceremony!" Koizumi said adorably.

Having said that, Koizumi started forcing dangos to Chiba's mouth, causing the surrounding patrons to chuckle, except for one. Walking over to his table, Kurenai looked at the blind Chiba.

"Do you know what you just did, angering the son of the Hokage like that will have consequences." Kurenai said .

"H-Hokages son?!?" Koizumi said as the dango in her mouth fell out. She thought the boy might've been th hokages student from what Chiba said, but not his son.

"It doesn't matter who his father is, we are all subjected to the same laws of this village and I'm sure the Hokage feely that way as well. If the Hokage doesn't feel this way and abuses the law for his family, then maybe the people should do something about it." Chiba said loudly, getting a few nods from the crowd

Kurenai was taken aback a bit, she understood Chibas Implication. The Hokage will have to turn a blind eye to this matter for the sake of face, but is this really the case? After all, it was the son of Hokage.

"I think you may not know Asuma well." Kurenai said, annoyed at the fact Chiba didn't take her serious.

"No, I think you may not know Third Hokage." Chiba said cutting her off before continuing.

"You go to to the ninja school?" Chiba said.

"yes." Kurenai nodded.

"Then tell me, how is Third Hokage described in the textbook?"

"He is the strongest Hokage in history. He started Konoha's heyday. He can freely use all Chakra attributes, is proficient in all Konoha ninjutsu, and enjoys the title of [Ninjutsu Professor]."

'Its complete horse shit that he was the strongest Hokage, definitely propaganda to make Konoha's hokage seem more power than he really is. If anybody took a second to think about it, the first Hokage subdued every single tailed beast In the world! The seconds Hokage created the majority of this villages jutsu, meanwhile the Third Hokage did absolutely nothing other than learning pre-existing jutsu! He didn't even fight In the third war!'

Upon hearing this, Chiba forced a smile on his face, nearly grimacing at the shamelessness of the third Hokage.

'Proficient in all ninjutsu? I won't mention the whole list of forbidden techniques. What about Flying thunder god he was unable to learn after having his master create it and his own student reinvent it, yet he was still unable to learn it!'

"That is indeed the textbook definition." Chiba said cooly.

"The hokage is supposedly described as the perfect hokage, he can't tolerate injustice, even if his own son is causing it. Or do you think that the hokage will punish me instead of the actual cause of the problem!"

Hearing this, Kurenai was conflicted. One of hand she believed that any father would want to defend his son, but on the other hand, the textbooks said the Hokage was the a man who pursued justice above all else. The delusion of the Hokage being the pillar of morality was slightly cracked, as she was trying to make sense of her thoughts.

Without waiting for her to recover, Chiba has left with Koizumi after paying. Seeing the blind boys back, using his cane to exit the restaurant, kurenai felt her heart throb slightly.

Despite the fact that he was much younger than her, she felt like he was much more mature than the men her own age, especially Asuma.

On the way, Koizumi was a little worried.

"Brother Chiba, since you know that guy is the son of the hokage, you should be more vigilant! I just hope he won't go home to file a complaint!" Koizumi said childishly.

Hearing that, Chiba chuckled.

"Whether he tells his father or not, the Hokage will know."

'We are in the middle of a war! Enemy forces are constantly trying to sneak in and kidnap the Hokages wife and kids. I sensed that there was an Anbu hidden nearby, watching our interaction in silence.'

This was why Asuma constantly kept trying to get up, thinking that Chiba was weak and had defeated him was because of a sneak attack, not knowing that Chiba was holding back even the tiniest bit of bloodlust and killing intent.

When ever people fight, even sparring with comrades, they unconsciously emit a killing intent. Chiba had no doubt in his mind, that if he emitted the slightest amount of killing intent, his head might have rolled before he realized it.

[In the Hokage Building, in the Hokage Office.]

Sarutobi Hiruzen wass sorting out the war documents and new Intel, as birds constantly flew in with letters attached to them.

He had to pay attention to trends of the battlefield and sanction operations for his Shinobi to carry out to win this war, meanwhile he had to care about the stability and wellness of the villagers who supplied the Shinobi with the weapons and food to continue the fight.

Both were very vital with winning the war, he didn't trust anybody else to perform these actions, and definitely not Danzo.

At the moment he was looking at the new students who were about to enroll, he had his assistant to give him the files of the students to pay attention to.

The first file placed on the table was Uchiha Itachi.

The son of the Uchiha patriarch was extremely talented, and this worried him greatly. The average Uchiha was better than average Shinobi thanks to their sharingan, but for a genius amongst the Uchiha?

Before these geniuses grow up independently, it is what Hokage duty do to make them join his side for the sake of the village.

Uchiha Shisui, is a good example of his plan and the next one he'll try to rope in will be this Uchiha Itachi.

"Ill need to use a special Ceremony speach, one that speaks to the heart of itachi and pulls him into the influence of the village, rather than the Uchiha!"

The will of fire speach was indispensable to maintain control over the superpowered shinobi, preventing problems.

And at this moment, a ninja wearing an Anbu costume and a cat face mask suddenly appeared in front of Sarutobi Hiruzen and knelt on one knee.

"Master hokage!" The Shinobi obediently said

"Speak." Without looking up, Hiruzen continued to looked at Itachi's file.

"It's about the Uchiha clan...."

(The original Chinese version tried making Koizumi a potential love interest, but it seemed very pedophilic and weird so I'm cutting that out completely. There was a whole scene where the Chinese version of Chiba kept his observation haki on when bathing together, and said what he saw was heavenly...fucking disgusting)
