"Finally I can move again without feeling any pain" Timeless felt immense joy being able to freely move again, 10 days in bed was too much torture for him.

Having to rest and be fed daily without having to worry about anything was great on its own but when he recalled his life inside God's domain, the rush he felt from adventuring and living life on the edge compared to that this was rather boring to him.

The past couple of days he's gotten to know a lot of information about God's domain from Luoyang who constantly kept him company, although he felt strange about having to be kept company by a member of a clan that is responsible for his current predicament. He couldn't find it in his heart to tell her to leave him be, he was grateful to have someone to talk to, as the only thing he felt when he spoke with her was sincerity, someone who never looked down on him and treated him as a human and not some roadside trash, but it still made him feel awkward at times as he wasn't really the social type.

The place he was at the moment was one of the frost clan's base In the sanctuary, a huge mansion on a snowy mountain peak that was a vast shade of white devoid of any life and had a gloomy feel. Apart from watching the snow fall, there was literally no good scenery, he wasn't like this group of people who didn't feel affected by the weather he was literally freezing.

"Luoyang when is your father coming back, it's been 3 days since I've been awake and he's still not back yet, tell me where he is I'll go meet him," Timeless inquired feeling impatient, he wanted to escape this hellhole by all means.

"Father will be back in a week Timeless, I noticed you're anxious to leave but do calm down a bit, the situation with the Gale clan has escalated so father is quite busy at the moment," Luoyang said with a hint of pity

"Ehn why one week, I really gotta head back to the sanctuary, another day in this frozen hellhole and I'll die of boredom" Timeless persisted on leaving

"You really haven't don't know how to live do you, where's the fun in constantly hunting beast?" Luoyang asked with a frown.

"What's more fun than hunting beasts and evolving huh, look around you, this place is more gloomy than the orphanage I was in. Where's the fun in having to wait here?" Timeless asked not willing to back down

"Well I do know someplace fun but father says I shouldn't let you wander about" Luoyang replied

"What does that old fart have in mind now huh, he should have ascended ages ago I don't know why he stuck around the First domain long enough to be a pain in my life" Timeless grumbled while deep in thought.

"There's something you can try though, have you ever heard of a VR game?" Luoyang asked unsure if he's heard the term knowing his background.

"I've heard some talks when I was in the orphanage but I've never seen one, do you have one here?" Timeless asked intrigued

"Well today's your lucky day then, we have a spare, you can try experiencing one for yourself," Luoyang said with a smile as she continued

"There are a lot of VR games but the most popular is the one called Tower climb. The game is simple, there are a total of 20 towers the higher you climb the tougher the foes you face. It's also a way to polish our fighting skills by fighting strong opponents without having to worry about them getting injured as it's the case in the real world, that's why this game is so popular but it's very expensive so only the rich folks can manage to afford it. The VR capsule records your physical attributes and pairs you with a suitable opponent, abilities cannot be recorded nor can beast soul so it's just sheer muscle and wits".

"Well, what do you think of it, wanna give it a try?" Luoyang asked

"Of course, it seems fun, at least it beats sitting on my ass so let's give it a try," Timeless said feeling excited

Of course he wasn't going to pass out on a chance to experience one of the many technological advancements of the human race, there were other stuff like the Hell Jet and the mecha suit he also found fascinating but unless he became rich overnight everything was just a dream.

"Don't get your hopes up though, although you can fight with people trained in various martial skills and killing techniques as anything goes inside. If you can encounter them, it's hard to tell if you can grasp anything from just a single battle because the system never pairs anyone twice on each tower" Luoyang said as she turned to walk towards the exit of the room with Timeless trailing behind.

A moment later they came to a room lined up with pods that looked like a cryosleep chamber, as Luoyang quickly went through the details of the game with Timeless who listened attentively to every detail.

"It's pretty simple really all you have to do is get into your pod and it will scan your body and collect your data. After the collection is done you'll see yourself in the character interface, the rest is easy" Luoyang patiently said.

Timeless nodded and proceeded to head into the pod which closed upon entry, laying inside the gaming pod he anticipated what would happen next like a child curious about everything, soon enough he felt a light flash as if scanning him for something and then his vision blurred.

"Welcome New user, please choose your character design and name" a voice sounded in his head.

He was standing in a white space staring at a floating character before him with various interfaces shown after the explanation he got he already knew what to do.

The game allows one to customize their character so they can make it look like whatever they want. allowing the users to create a character to be used in the game meant that no one would know it was him From the clothes to the face everything could be tweaked, although it was a cool feature he wasn't planning on changing much just a mask to cover his face would do and a change of hair colour to a whiter shade.

Finishing up on the design he turned to look at the name slot deep in thought before deciding on a name as he keyed in the words.
