"What's this situation? The youth really did escape? so he wasn't bluffing when he said that, does he control space, or was that a unique beast soul ability?" Germain asked while looking at kelvin who still had his jaws dropped.

At the moment the only thing that could be felt was bewilderment among the group, at a loss for what to do and how to proceed further, this was an anomaly in an almost perfect plan. The anomaly in the form of a mortal ranked youth they didn't bother taking into consideration.

"That bastard, I'll make sure to skin him alive!" Kelvin wailed at the loss of such a perfect opportunity.

Looking back at the faces of the group gathered around him seeing them lost in thoughts or mumbling among themselves he felt his blood boil.

"What are you guys waiting for, search the surrounding areas, if we can't find them we need to hurry up back to base, no time to cry over spilled milk," Kelvin said after recomposing himself

"Germain you have to search every inch of this mountain and leave no stone unturned, if it's an ability from a beast soul then they wouldn't have gotten far, we have to find them or else there will be karma to pay," Kelvin said in a serious tone.

Hearing this Germain gave out an order to the group who soon scattered in all directions.

Kelvin paced back and forth feeling restless at the situation, 30 minutes past the group regathered and as he looked at Germain, he saw him shaking his head, he knew what it meant.

"The alliance is over, there's no way back now, let's head back to base it's time to see father," Kelvin said to the group while mumbling to himself soon after as he walked past the group.

Timeless felt an abnormal throbbing pain in his head as though someone had ruthlessly lashed at him with a pole again and again. No, it was more like his head was banged against a rock multiple times and his skull cracked.

Ouch... In his stupor, Timeless attempted to turn around, look up, and sit up; however, he was completely unable to move his limbs as though he had lost control over his body.

"Where am I, and why am I on a bed?" Timeless asked after finally coming to terms with his surroundings.

He felt throbbing pains while trying to recall what happened and how he ended up here and after a moment deep in thought everything finally became clear to him again.

"Right I used my skill Skyslicer and after that, I can't remember a thing, who brought me here? Was it Guinevere or Luoyang?" He asked lost in thought, after a while he felt something off and subconsciously turned and moved his head with great difficulty only to see someone staring at him with a huge smile on their face.

"You're finally awake" Luoyang had the brightest smile on her face as she said that.

" Luoyang, what happened I can't remember a thing, how did I end up here?" he asked as he gazed deeply into her blueish eyes.

"I do not know what happened either, after you grabbed us and jumped into a space tear that appeared in front of us everything was hazy, when I finally regained some clarity you were already collapsed on the floor, and we had to carry you back to camp after surveying our surrounding to see where we were" Luoyang patiently said.

You've been sleeping for 7 days Timeless, I guess whatever skill you might have used was too much for your body to bear, that's what led to your current state. Seeing as you're awake, a couple more days of rest and you'll be all better.

"You mean I've been sleeping for a week?" Timeless asked with some doubt evident in his voice.

Luoyang nodded first, then curled her lips to reveal a smile and said "Thank you Timeless, I owe you one".

Timeless shrugged and nodded at her, not putting much thought into it. For him it was the most logical thing to do, so he didn't need any thanks for doing what he thought was right but seeing as she was sincere with her words he had to give her a bit of face.

"It seems that skill really packed a punch" Timeless mumbled silently, deep in thought.

"It appears mythic skills when used by mere mortals cause their bodies to collapse due to their bodies not being able to bear the strain placed on them, oh well guess it's gone now, I'll confirm first to be sure".

Guinevere walked into the room and said interrupting his thoughts.

Turning to look at her with the same indifferent gaze Timeless said in a voice filled with disdain "It's good to see you're well princess"

He had no reason to act polite at the moment, he felt the father was as trash as the daughter only caring about their benefit and regarding human life as disposable. the old fart didn't even care about Luoyang and only said to try and save Guinevere if possible, what sort of bastard does that.

Seeing the look on his face, that same hateful gaze, Guinevere felt her heart tighten and hesitated to approach further. "I'm sorry for my earlier behavior, even with that you did save me twice, and for that I'm grateful," she said after a moment of hesitation.

"Let's get this straight, I was only there because of your father's schemes, if you're feeling grateful you go tell him to void the other two request then I'll accept your gratitude," Timeless said holding nothing back.

He knew it would be hard to go on any more suicide tasks with his skill gone now, next time there really wouldn't be any escape for him so at this moment he wasn't planning on holding back with his words.

"Father told me all about it Timeless and I'm truly sorry but I couldn't get him to void the request, he only said he could let go of one, that's the best I could get out of him," Guinevere said in a low tone not willing to look him in the eyes.

"Of course, he wouldn't let it go, not even his daughter's life was worth such a request I guess, I wonder what goes on in that mind of his" Timeless silently thought as he gritted his teeth in frustration.

Accepting his fate, he gazed back and forth between Luoyang and Guinevere as he sighed, falling back to the bed he felt exhausted as he stared at the ceiling for a while before saying with strong conviction In his voice "It is fine, I'll survive whatever he has planned, because my path is the infinite stars".

"Found this on you," Guinevere said bringing out a crystal that had a little creature stuck in it as she handed it over to Timeless.

Timeless stared at the crystal with a mixed expression before letting out a sigh and said "Thank you".

Guinevere nodded and proceeded to leave the room with Luoyang in tow as Timeless laid back on the bed gazing at the crystal.
