Research and The start of New moon

Me and Alice went home early after that talk. I talked to my mom and dad to see if Alice could spend the night, and after Alice got the okay from Esme and Carlisle she could.

They stayed at the party, so we had a few hours to ourselves at my house.

"Alice, I should have enough money to buy a house out in a more open part of the forest, so I was wondering if you wanted to go see them or get one built?" Me and Alice were in my room laid on the bed. She looked up to me from my chest and asked "Why would we need another house?" I smiled at her and said "So we can live alone. It'll be nice to be by ourselves whenever we want and we won't need permission to sleep with each other."

She giggled and snuggled back into my chest. We spent some time cuddling before I asked her a serious question.

"Alice, are vampires and shifters the only fictional things that actually exist?" She was laid on top of me and looked up, resting her head on my chest.

"No..I remembered Carlisle mentioning that there are witches, real werewolves, some fairies, and even magical beast. Though he said they would either be in hiding or extinct since they had conflicts a lot." She said.

I was shocked when I heard this. Some witches and werewolves I can take, even magical beast are a stretch but believable, but fairies. Real fairies.

'Maybe, if they're real I could find them.' I thought. I smiled and said "How about we do some research?" I said with a grin on my face.

"Really? Right now?" She asked energetic and happily.

She raised up straddling me while looking at me expectedly. "Yup, right now." I simply said.

"So, do you want to go to the library, find some. Books in the internet, or go to Carlisle?" I asked raising up.

"Let's go to Carlisle. He could give us one of his books. We can look some up later!" Alice said joyously.

"Alright, this could take a while so let's get started." I said to Alice who got from my lap and sat on the bed. We changed our clothes when we got here. She's wearing a pair of my shorts and one of my shirts. It was to big for her and was extremely cute.

'Whoever made my life must be extremely jealous by now.' I thought to absolutely nobody. (He's not wrong, after rewatching Twilight I was reminded about how much I liked Alice.)

She had her dress in my closet and hopped into some of my slides, and we prepared to leave the house and get into my mustang.

I wore some jeans and a black shirt and we got to the garage door just in time to see my dads car pulling in.

"Dad, me and Alice are going to her house to get a book from Carlisle." I told him as our cars passed each other. He nodded and gave me a thumbs up before I drove off.

"Thank you, Zane" I heard Alice say meekly. I smiled a bit and said "Of course, I would do anything to make you happy. So let's find those damn magical being and things, so I can get you pregnant." I said bluntly and excitedly.

"Zane!" Alice gasped and laughed seeing how happy I was.

"You'll have to try harder than normal though." She said with seduction dripping out of her voice. 'I would definitely be trying later.' I thought to myself.

We continued to her house and immediately asked for Carlisle when we got in.

"Here is my study room. It has all the books and journals you'll need. If you need anything else call me. Remember this room is only for reading. There is some blank note books in my desk to write some things down if you need to." He said told us. I laughed and said "Okay, I'll keep her under control and thank you again." Alice huffed pouting and started looking through the books.

The place we were was a nice sized office with book shelves on the walls everywhere besides the doorway. They stopped at the ceiling and there were hundreds of books here that were perfectly labeled.

There was a simple desk with a spinning chair at it like we were in the White House.

"Alice you look for the fairies and werewolves and I'll search up on artifacts and other things like witches." I said as I went to the section of books labeled "supernatural animals."

"Ok, chief." Alice said with a cute salute. I smiled and we began our research. I got a book with the title of "The original wolf", and went to the desk taking out a notebook and pen.

I was followed by Alice who plopped down in my lap and began reading. The book was about the very first werewolf and how it gained a human appearance.

We spent the next month jotting down things we needed to know like places to visit, artifact locations, origins of mythical creatures, we even looked through journals that spoke about them like they were friends with them. We even found human clans that had powers that are thought to be extinct, but I wanted to know for myself.

(The origin stories will be in the next few chapters.)

Then it was a week before Bella's birthday so they put the research on hold. It was fun doing the research. It was like going to the library with your boyfriend and fun. Zane like how sometimes Alice would be serious about the books and other times her expression and concentration constantly changes. Alice just liked how her was doing this for her and how seriously he was taking it along with spending time with him.

"Bella's birthday is a week from now and we still don't know what to give her." Groaned Alice in frustration. We have been trying to figure out what to give Bella for a week now and we still can't decide on anything.

"How about we.....you know...just give her money?" Alice looked at me from our side hug position in my room. Her expression was blank as she looked at me and I said "What, she's a teenager. What teenager doesn't like money. Plus we have nothing to give her. With how much you take her to shop her closet probably can't handle anymore."

With a sigh she agreed "Fine..we'll give her money." She said bitterly. I breathed a sigh of relief as this problem was finally solved.

"I say we plan our trips and stuff after I move out. Is that good with you?" I asked Alice who nodded.

"This is going to be so fun. It's like an adventure out of a movie." Said Alice with excitement lacing her voice. She loved all the talk about mystical things and myths that even she thought were fake. Mainly the fairies is what she liked the most. She just liked how connected they seemed.

For Zane it was something else. It was like something was calling him whenever it was mentioned or when he has seen a picture of it.

<One week later>

It's September 13, 2005, Bella's birthday. We are all at the Cullens house, having a party that was still set up by Alice even though we still had our research sessions.

Over the past week I had remembered that, today is the start of New Moon and that that's when Jacob would constantly try to take advantage of her depression along with the fact that she was doing dumb things this movie.

I had a plan though and that was to keep Alice as far away from Jacob as possible. He won't even get the slightest alone time with her while me and Alice are around.

Of course we always go on hunts every two weeks to satisfy her thirst. I also found out that when she takes a few sips of my blood she really doesn't need to drink for a month. I was sort of mad she kept this from me, but still had me eat all that cake. She made it up to me though, so I'm good now.

I also have temporarily stopped strengthening myself and practicing with my faire due to how full my schedule was but when we start going on our trips I'll have to start again. I'm confident I can take the whole army without my fire and end it immediately with them.

(That's bullshit, I just forgot about the fire because of all the plot stuff I've been thinking of.)

It would be easy to just wave my hand and a wave of black flames flood over them leaving not even ashes behind.

I've already had a complete shield over my mind for a while now so no one is in my head. Including Aro.

Bella came down the stairs with Edward and was smiling at all of us. Me and Alice helped drive some of her awkwardness off, I also thoroughly told her about personal space and how to word things so people don't get the wrong meaning.

In the movie she let to many people way to close to her and said things to Jacob that kept leading him on. I put a end to that instantly. (IRL as I rewatched it I was yelling a lot at how Bella put things and was just letting people be so close to her that they literally be breathing on each other's mouth. She doesn't even try to resist at all.)

The first gift was from Carlisle and Esme. They gave her two plane tickets to Florida, so Edward could visit Phil and Renee. She was extremely happy about it and quickly tried to open up the wrapping.

She got a paper cut. I don't know if she forgot where she was, but the way she said it so nonchalant really stumped me.

I saw Jasper flinch from the corner of my eye and saw Sierra trying to calm him down. The blood dripping on the carpet and he burst towards her. He was fast and dodged both Carlisle and Emmett. Seeing this, Edward, stupidly shoved her behind him and sent her flying into a table with glass on it, giving her a deep cut on her forearm.

More blood flowed from her arm and Jaspers head was right past me. Just like I wanted. His head was past me because he was running to the right. So I put my arm right arm around his neck, making him turn so that he's facing the left.

I put him into a headlock and my muscles were tearing the suit I was wearing, not to mention his struggling.

"C'mon Jasper let's go outside. Emmett can you open the door?" I asked and Emmett quickly followed. He was then followed by Sierra, Rosalie and Edward.

"Edward, you would be the last person he wants to talk to right now, and don't go screaming at him. You know he's new to being a vegetarian." Carlisle said before Edward could leave the door.

"Bella, with me I'll get you all cleaned up, then let's call it a night, ok?" Carlisle told Bella who meekly nodded. Esme sighed as she was the one left to pick the mess up.

She had the most control when it came to human blood because she had been vegan for centuries.

<Outside>

"Jasper, you good now?" I asked seeing him not struggle anymore.

"Yeah. I'm fine now." He said with his southern accent. I let him go and Sierra immediately came over an started hugging Jasper.

"Thank you, Zane." Edward said sending a slight glare at Jasper. Sierra sneered and they went on a walk or hunt to satisfy his thirst.

"No problem." I said plainly. He nodded and went to think about some things. Most likely if they should leave forks.

Everyone went off to do their own things with their mates. I motioned for me Alice to have a walk with me and she happily skipped by my side. The moon was up and full with a starry night.

"My suit is ruined, and the parties over so what now?" I asked. She seemed to be thinking about it and said.

"We go to your house and I spend the night. Then I can give you a reward for saving the day." Alice said proudly.

"You can spend the night but my parents are home. They are like ninjas, the slightest sound or creak and they're up and Adam ready to beat someone. Your also quite the screamer." I said with a smirk.

She looked away embarrassed. If she had blood it would be red, but it instead had a tent of yellow on them.

"Okay, lets go to my house. Walking around with tethered clothes is really uncomfortable." I said and we walked to my Mustang and drove to my house.
