“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is like a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.” - Anonymous ... Kalani’s only unique aspect in life: being pecked daily by his bird, Whistle. Other than that, he was the average nature-loving boy and a mischievous prankster for his family, much to their dismay. However, the world with its kingdoms and tribes weren't as calm as life portrayed it to be. Dangerous undercurrents were roiling beneath the scenes, sucking in anyone who even touched the surface of it.  And with those dirty hands, ‘they’ snatched everything away from him, leaving him as only a shell of who he was before— a husk imprisoned deep underground. Until, he finally saw a light in his dreary world— in the form of a naive, optimistic girl. Far from perfect, she definitely frustrated him on many occasions, but the myriad of feelings he kept bottled up inside began to leak, and he couldn’t plug it. “Am I willing to risk everything for her? Or do I want to complete my objective...?” he would murmur to himself, emerald eyes glued onto her petite figure. … Update schedule: weekly Cover found on Pinterest; artist unknown ;~;

Chapter 1Prologue

Have you ever thought that a fallen coin below the gaze of the sun is similar to our world?

For the forgotten object, light sheds its warmth onto one side, and yet on the other, the shadows spread their inky fingertips, reigning over what they claim is theirs.

And like that, the world— the inhabitants— do the same: some live out their lives in blissful peace while others converse with their inner demons. But that said, our appearances are different.

One tribe can resemble birds, their wings spanning enough to fly high into the sky. Broad rabbit ears, snakelike tails, and wolven strength— just to name a few more. And yet, they call themselves 'humans'.

Perhaps it's because, in spite of their external features, their forms do mirror ours. Perhaps it's due to the same, elemental powers we wield and a similar but common tongue. Or perhaps... it's to distinguish themselves from the animals that we normal people feed on or take as pets; the rest is up to your vivid imagination.

Nonetheless, we've missed one more side to our race like the last side of the coin— its rim, a place where light and darkness can collide from the slightest nudge.

But that's where the rest of them are. That's where I am: a human who walks on a fine line between insanity and rationality.

Join the journey of Max and watch he have the time of his life and become the strongest mage the world had ever seen before. ______________________________ [Things to be noted] 1. From the title, you should've guessed it already but let me tell you the story will be filled with many sexual adventures. So... you are welcome to enjoy them..... 2. However... don't expect MC to have sexual relations with every woman he meets. I'll be focusing on the story, and would 'Try' not to blindly throw sex scenes left and right. 3. Most importantly, this is my first time writing so the the quality of first 50 or so may be a bit lacking (But it would cause you no problem if a few minor errors don't bother you). 4. It is a slow paced story. If you want everything to be explosive and fast, maybe this isn't for you. Important Note: If you enjoy the story then don't forget to vote your GTs, Power stones and also if you can, send some GIFTS too. This poor soul would appreciate it. Also check out My other work: [ Rise of the Strongest War God ] & [ My perverted devil system ] Happy reading~ ________________

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep.

Honestly, I rarely give 5 star reviews and only when I think a book really deserves it. I haven't binge read something on this site for soooo long, and if all the books on here were like this one, I'd have so much more respect for it ;-; Writing Quality: Literally the prologue got me going like 0.0 It was just so beautifully put together? Like I'm not quite sure how to put it to words, but the moment I realized what the analogy was actually saying, I was low-key shook. That being said, there wasn't a single spot in this novel that wasn't beautifully polished such that every word felt like it had to be there. The tensions in the action scenes lived up to my expectations, as did the heart-warming ones. Story Development: If it wasn't for how clear your writing was, I think I would be lost with the switching between memories and reality sorta chapters. But literally because of how you set the mood and tone of the chapters depending on the emotions you were trying to convey, I had no issue going from mindset to mindset. Also, I think it actually made the current picture seem even more haunting with the juxtapositions. Character Design: Whistle. Enough said and more than enough reason for me to give a 5/5 for this. World Background: How do I put this. Not only do you describe the cells in a way that you make me want to punch the people (if you can even call them that) that put them there. But you also describe what seemed to be a utopia before it was corrupted, somehow making me want to punch them even more. Overall, I really want to say that this is a freakin gem. From the superrrr aesthetic cover art to the beautiful analogies and the story itself, I really really wish Webnovel would advertise your story more. Although it's still currently pretty sure, I think this novel would be one that actually somehow made an impact on me considering Webnovel as a platform. I think this is the first story I've added to my library from browsing the forums, but geez I'm glad I did!
