Ch. 99 - The Destroyer

As soon as the Warriors Three and Thor ran outside, they saw the Destroyer, in its full glory, menacingly staring at them while at the same time, it seems to be searching for someone.

"Brother! I know you're the one behind this! It's my fault!" Thor tried to beg Loki first, however The Destroyer suddenly opens up the lid on its face, showing the fiery ball of fire preparing to strike Thor.

"Thor!" Sif shouted in worry as she pushed Thor out of the way and used her sword to take the brunt of the beam.

Although she managed to block it, her exposed body wasn't saved from the beam of fire as it grazes over her skin, burning it almost to a crisp.

It's already a miracle that she hasn't turned into dust right now as the Destroyer is indeed capable of turning everyone into dust with just the sheer strength and heat of its beam.

Unfortunately, the Destroyer is known to be relying on the user's powers. Which means that Loki isn't strong enough to fully use the entire power of the Destroyer, maybe only 20% is being used right now.

"Arrghhh!" Sif almost dropped her sword due to pain but as a warrior who has been honed for so many years, she has experienced something more painful than this, so she managed to endure it and stepped out of the way as the Destroyer is threatening to fire another beam towards her.

"For Asgard!" Volstagg climbed on top of a car before jumping towards the Destroyer with his axe ready to slash down.

*Dung!*

The Destroyer, however, simply backhanded the large warrior, launching him into the air before smashing on the ground as his momentum stopped.

"Urrgh!" Volstagg just grunts as he felt pain all over his body and because he was kicked by Hela earlier before the fight, Volstagg was too tired to get up by now and unless he is fed with food, it looks like he won't be waking up soon.

"Volstagg!" Thor came running up to him in a hurry before checking his breathing.

Feeling that Volstagg is still breathing, Thor sighs in relief before clenching his fists and turns around to face his brother.

He saw Sif and the other warriors being manhandled by the Destroyer as if they were some kind of toys.

"Loki stop this madness!" Thor yelled to the Destroyer, which was seen by Loki who was sitting on the throne.

"It is me that you want! I don't care about the throne anymore, it's yours now. As long as you spare my friends and those people around. Please." Thor then fell to his knees on the ground before spreading his arms as if he was giving up his body.

The lid on the Destroyer's face which keeps the terrifying fiery beam, slowly closed up, much to Thor's relief.

Just when the Destroyer was about to turn around to leave, it suddenly surprised Thor by immediately backhanding him on the face.

*Thud!*

And because Thor has lost his powers and is nothing but a human, his insides were crushed and he was thrown up far in the air before colliding on a car with blood on his face.

"Thor!" Sif cries his name as she feels anger and sadness bubbling up inside her. She felt anger because of the fact that she's too weak to fight back and sadness because she can't protect the man that she secretly loves.

"Well well well. What an entertaining drama to watch." Suddenly, a seductive voice appears as Hela stepped inside the battlefield while looking at the Destroyer with a casual smile on her face.

"If Odin is the man behind the Destroyer then I'll probably be wary and cautious by now but seeing that the user is nothing but a wimp who only knows some cheap tricks, It makes me remember my first encounter with a child playing with a bunch of toys." Hela smirked as she said that, earning the anger of Loki.

"I don't know who you are nor do I care. Say goodbye to your pathetic life." Loki mutters before controlling the Destroyer to kill Hela with a punch.

Seeing the Destroyer move, Sif and the others thought that she was done for.

*Thud!*

However, contrary to everyone's expectations, Hela stretched out her arm and held the fist of the Destroyer as if it was some kind of cheap product that could be found in Wish.com.

"That's it?" Hela tilted her head in annoyance and confusion as her outstretched hand slowly closed into a fist, crumpling the Destroyer's hand like some kind of paper.

Loki's face was full of shock and surprises as he didn't expect this woman to be stronger than he thought.

And before he and the rest could react, Hela snapped the Destroyer's hand and pulled the entire arm off with a grunt.

*Snap!*

The Destroyer was now missing an arm and you could see the insides of the Destroyer, which is full of runes and advanced technology that most scientists cannot comprehend during this time.

"By Odin's beard!" Sif was wide-eyed. Ever since she was a kid, she has already heard about the rumors of the Destroyer. A weapon that can only be controlled by the King and its power were off the charts. It was said to be capable of conquering a civilization by itself.

In fact, they said that Odin used the Destroyer to defeat Surtur and capture his entire realm.

Many more rumors were spread about the feats of the Destroyer and not even once she has heard about it being defeated or destroyed. But now, all of her views were crushed as the said Destroyer's hand is crushed and crumpled like some kind of paper and it's arm was pulled out as if it's some kind of chicken leg.

Meanwhile, Thor, who had been reminiscing his life by looking at the skies, suddenly felt a crumble inside him, as if some kind of strength was pushing beyond its seals.

Knowing what this means, Thor unconsciously raised his hand to catch the hammer that flew towards his hand.

*Boom!*

*Thunder!*

Thor floated in the air while being struck by lightning as a beautiful set of armor donned upon his body, while his previous bruises and injuries were immediately healed under the naked eye.

The lightning striking him then stops as Thor lands on the ground with all his glory.

"Thor." Sif naturally saw this and she can't help but marvel at the handsomeness and mightiness of Thor.

"Sif." Thor smiled at her before swirling his hammer and threw it towards the Destroyer.

"I'll see you later." Thor winked at her before being dragged by the force of the hammer that he just threw.

Sif was mesmerized by the wink and can't help but blush furiously.

Did Thor finally realize the feelings that she had for him?

*Dung!*

Mjolnir smashed itself on the Destroyer, sinking the chest part of the Destroyer.

"Face me, Loki!" Thor growled as the Destroyer tried to figth back despite only having a single arm.

However, Thor was simply too strong for the Destroyer, not to mention that the Destroyer has just lost an arm and Loki can't use the full power of the Destroyer due to having a lack of strength.

"Why! Why do you always win!" Loki was close to becoming a madman before he calmed himself down.

Luckily, he already expected something like this to happen, so he already prepared quite a few plans ahead.

He recently met up with his true father earlier and told him about his plans, which was greedily accepted by Laufey.

And now, he's on his way to the Bifrost to freeze Heimdall so he could let Laufey and his minions invade and 'kill' Odin.

"Didn't I tell you to obey me at all costs? I'm your king now, and because of what you did, I'll now have you dismissed forever." Loki said to him, which didn't move Heimdall a bit.

"That means I don't have to obey you anymore." Heimdall said before using his sword to try to kill Loki.

However, he was already expecting this, so he brought the Casket of Winters out and froze Heimdall's entire body.

He then allowed the Frost Giants and Laufey to enter Asgard without any problems.

"I assume you know what to do." Loki said.

"Of course." Laufey grinned to himself before running towards the Asgard Castle with all his might.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, the Shield has just arrived when the Destroyer was already defeated.

Of course, Doflamingo won't just let such a precious good to slip off his hands, so he immediately portaled the entire Destroyer armor after asking permission from Thor.

"As my best friend! You are allowed to take the Destroyer for yourself!" Thor smiled and patted his shoulder before giving a nod to Hela as a form of respect when meeting someone strong.

Not just anyone could achieve the feat that she just did.

While Doflamingo was fawning over the Destroyer armor, he suddenly remembers that he should tell Thor to keep Hela as a secret.

"Where are they?" Doflamingo asked Hela.

"They're already gone, just a few minutes ago. Why? Is there any problem?" Hela tilted her head in confusion.

"N-nothing." Doflamingo almost choked himself to death as this single mistake of his might cause him to lose the privilege of learning magic in Asgard and if things have gone worse, there might be a war between Asgard and him sooner.

"Oh shit." Doflamingo finally sighed in despair before taking out a cigarette and lit it up.

"Fooohh." For the rest of the journey back home, Doflamingo was busy smoking and contemplating his life as if it was already the end of the world.
