Ch. 15 - Finally meeting

After that event, Doflamingo resumed in his journey and after an hour, he finally parked his car on the parking lot.

Since it was Monday today, Matilda should be at the school, studying inside.

Although he doesn't know when will her lunch break arrive, but Doflamingo would just have to wait for a while.

Doflamingo was inside the school, as the he greeted each teacher that he crossed upon, pretending to be a student who just went to a bathroom.

*Ring!*

After strolling around the school halls, the bell finally rung and many students walked outside their classrooms.

"According to Ms. Honey, she should be in this classroom." Doflamingo said as he hid behind one of the walls and stared at s certain classroom.

Finally, after a few students walked outside the classroom, a girl with short auburn hair, wearing glasses came out, holding some books on her arms.

Although Doflamingo doesn't know what Matilda looks like right now, but his guts was telling him that this nerdy girl is the Matilda that he knew.

'Alright, now I just need to get her to talk to me privately. This should be easy.' When Doflamingo was about to step out to confront Matilda.

"Hey nerd!" A small scrunched up paper was thrown on the back of Matilda's head.

"Hahahaha." Some mockery laughs sounded behind her.

However, when Doflamingo thought that Matilda will fight back, she just ignored their laughs and walked to her locker.

When she just opened her locker, a hand immediately slammed it back.

"Are you ignoring me, nerd?" The bully, who was the one who threw the scrunched up paper asked her threateningly.

"Leave me alone, Johnny." Matilda finally talked.

"Or what?" Johnny leaned and their faces were now closed to each other as he mocked.

"Or else, you'll face me, pal." A hand suddenly slammed on his shoulder as he was forced to turn around and a saw a handsome man with golden blond hair.

"Who the fuck are you?" Johnny asked him, as his lackeys surrounded them, giving him confidence.

"...I'm her brother." Seeing Matilda's widened eyes, Doflamingo's lips curled in a smile. Looks like he won't be troubled to introduce himself to Matilda later.

"Brother?" Johnny faced his lackeys and laughed with them.

"Look at this dipshit. He thi-." Johnny didn't managed to finish his sentence when a hand grabbed the back of his head and slammed him on the locker.

"Oohhh!!" An audience of students has gathered and watched the exciting scene.

"Ahh! Fuck! My nose. You asshole!" Johnny kept cursing him as he wanted to pay him back a punch of his, but unfortunately for him, he was facing no normal man. But a beast in a sheep's clothing.

Doflamingo held his fist, and slammed his forehead on Johnny's face, further injuring his nose.

Meanwhile, his lackeys finally made their move. If what Doflamingo guessed is right, then these bullies should be in the basketball or soccer club. After all, in most school movies, they were always the ones who bully students the most.

Maybe it was their confidence or something, which drives them to bully those weaker than them. But, Doflamingo won't care about their shit, since they dared to bully his family, then as the head of the family, it is only natural for him to protect his cub.

Doflamingo dodged a guy's punch and held his jacket, before slamming him on the other guy who was about to charge to him.

"Oof!" Both of them fell on the floor.

"Fucker!" Johnny, who still hasn't recovered from his bleeding nose, stood up painfully and tried to punch him.

While another man sneaks up behind him and tried to attack him.

All of this was sensed by Doflamingo who stepped on the side and grabbed the guy from behind's bald head and slammed his face on Johnny's fist.

*Slam!*

The man fell on the ground with a bleeding face while Johnny held his hand in pain, as their were some tooth stabbed on his knuckles.

Doflamingo walked closer to him as Johnny crawled back in fear and begged.

"P-please. Have mercy, I-I won't bully your sister again." Johnny begged however, Doflamingo didn't stop from his tracks and kept marching, which increased his sense of fear.

"Hey! Hey! What's going on here? Hey, you! You're not a student here, what are you doing?" Seeing that a teacher has finally caught up to the happening, Doflamingo smirked at Johnny.

"You're one lucky motherfucker." Doflamingo muttered that only Johnny could hear before running away from the scene.

However, just in time, he crossed paths with Matilda who was still staring at him in shock.

"Meet me outside after school." He secretly whispered to her before dashing outside the school.

"Hey, stop him! And call some medic for these guys." The teacher said before some security guards came rushing in and tried to chase Doflamingo outside the school.

Meanwhile, Matilda subconsciously nodded at his words before looking at the 'mess' that he made.

She scoffed at the poor appearance of Johnny, the guy who's been bullying her ever since she showed her intelligence here and became the favourite students of the teachers.

She walked away, but she can't hide the excitement within her, she can't wait to see what changed to Doffy, her friend, and the only person that knew about her powers.

Meanwhile, outside the school. After loosing the security guards, Doflamingo smiled. That was the second time he tested his strength against normal people and he wasn't disappointed.

'But this isn't enough, in a few years or so, this kind of strength is not enough to survive on this world, not to mention, when that purple headed alien snapped his fingers.

"I still have time." Doflamingo said as he went back to his car to wait for the school to end.

*Ring!*

"Finally." Doflamingo, who was dozing off in the car, opened his left eye and muttered.

He went out of the car and sat on the bench, near the school exit.

The students came pouring outside and after a few minutes of waiting and watching, Doflamingo finally saw Matilda looking everywhere as if searching for him.

Doflamingo covered his head with his hoodie and got close to Matilda.

"Let's go." He whispered and Matilda turned around in shock when he saw him.

"Y-You're Doffy, right?" Matilda asked but Doflamingo gave no answer and just walked outside the crowd.

Matilda followed him after and finally went on the parking spot, right where his car was parked.

"This is my mom's car, right?" Matilda noticed the car and recognized the license plate.

"We have so much to talked about." Doflamingo removed his hoodie and showed his face to Matilda.

"I knew it was you." Matilda smiled as she hugged Doflamingo.

"It's been five years! Where have you been?" Matilda asked.

"Let's talk inside the car." Doflamingo looked around and said to her.

"So, you're telling me that you just made friends with a Lion?"

After telling Matilda everything, while hiding some informations like his Haki, and some of his techniques like Parasite. Although he considers Matilda as part of his family, he won't blindly trust her, especially since her father is a Shield Agent.

"Yeah, and right. After Ms. Honey allowed me to sleep in your room, I found this on your cabinet." Doflamingo then showed her the diary that he read.

"My Diary! So, that's why it wasn't in my bag when I left. It turns out I left it back there." Matilda grabbed the notebook before shuffling through it.

Suddenly, she looked and squinted her eyes at him.

"You've read it, didn't you?"

Doflamingo shrugged, but not denying it, which just confirmed Matilda's suspiciouns.

"Hey, I read that you could read someone's mind. Is it true?"

"Yeah, why?" Matilda asked.

"Do you think you could read mine?" Doflamingo asked. If Matilda said yes, then he'll find some way to keep his mind off from telepaths like her. As much as he trusted her, he still has some trust issues, especially after what happened with Agnes. And besides, who would want someone to read and know all of your deepest secrets that you always kept within yourself?

"That's what I've been wanting to ask you! Earlier, when I tried to read your mind when you were beating Johnny, I realized that I can't read it, as if your mind was empty. I can't hear any voices or thoughts inside you." Matilda got excited and explained to him when she tried to read his mind earlier.

Doflamingo sighed in relief, although he doesn't know why she can't read his mind, but this is good news to him.

But, just to make sure, he would surely put some protections in his mind.

"Is this you apartment?" Doflamingo was driving all this time while chatting with Matilda.

"Yeah. Wanna get some coffee? I think I have some left." Matilda asked.

"Nah, a water would be fine." Doflamingo said.

Meanwhile, Coulson just sent the Shield Agency about Doflamingo's information, with the excuse of 'possible spy'.

Right now, he just have to wait for a few days before the information comes to him.

After all, the technology right now wasn't that much advance yet to search for a person's information throughout the whole America. Especially, since Coulson's request wasn't that much important than their current jobs, so the request would be delayed for a few days.

"Hey, hon. Can you tell me more about that Doflamingo?" While eating on the dinner table, Coulson can't help but ask his wife for the information first.

"Well, he's a very bright kid but also brave!"

"Brave?"

"Yes. Do you remember my aunt? The one Matilda always tells you about?"

"You mean the Ogre?" Coulson chuckled.

"Yes. Out of all the students, he is the only one who stood up against her, without fear!" Ms. Honey got excited and told him.

"I heard that Matilda also had a friend named Doflamingo, are you sure they're not the same person?" Coulson suspiciously asked.

"Oh no, no they're not the same person. Maybe they had the same name but Matilda's friend back then died in a car accident." Ms. Honey got sad as she spoke, however she can't hide her nervousness as she spoke.

"Oh, yeah, I've heard." Coulson nodded while thinking something.

Ms. Honey nervously looked at her husband who was deep into thinking.

Suddenly, Coulson leaned forward and stared at his wife, Jennifer.

"Hon, are you hiding something from me?"
