James tried to doge the the fiery beam by teleporting continuously but such constant teleportation had induced immense pressure on his mind due to which his reaction speed slowed down and was hit by the beam of light fired by Destroyer. Thor's friends were too thrown away after being hit by the destructive energy blast.

As James had been hit by the energy beam, his cooldown period of Deva Path was over and he used the ability to reduce a bit of the damage caused by the beam fired by the Destroyer. Sadly being mentally tired as well as physically injured, he was not able to fully cast the ability to completely deflect the energy beam. He could only set off a part of the damage and was thrown backwards, blood flowing out of his mouth.

"Noooooooooooo," Thor let out a blood curdling roar.

Suddenly the weather changes and black clouds crackling with lightning gathered over us.

"I guess the fight is over," James muttered and cushioned his fall by using Deva Path. He used the regenerative ability of the Immortal body and healed himself after using the Instant chakra recovery ability.

'This chakra recovery ability is really useful, without it I wouldn't have dared to fight the Destroyer. Sigh, I already used it three times today,' James stood up and started walking in direction of Thor's friends in order to check their well being. He had about half the chakra left after healing himself.

Meanwhile Thor had already recalled his hammer and was wearing his signature armor surrounded by a red cape.

"Stop it, Loki. If you won't, I will make you," Thor screamed, completely bathed in thunder while revolving the hammer in his hand at great speed. He jumped and attacked the Destroyer's head using his hammer. Completely bombarded by Thor's lightning attack, the Destroyer was helpless and couldn't even retaliate a bit.

'Too strong,' James exclaimed while helping Sif up and then he went to gather the Warriors Three who were unconscious due to the Destroyer's last attack.

"Are you guys okay?" Thor asked as he landed near us. The Destroyer who gave us run for our money was already incapacitated by Thor.

The Warriors Three finally regained their consciousness.

Fandral groaned," You have been a good friend Thor, but sadly my time has come. We will meet in Valhalla."

"Um, I don't know how to break it to you, but from what I had heard, unless you die in a battle, you won't go to Valhalla and you seem pretty alive to me," James replied.

"How do you know that?" Thor looked surprised.

'Duh, from Thor Love and Thunder,' James thought. "I had a bit of interest in Norse mythology," James replied with a straight face.

"So you must have heard about me too," Thor nudged his nose proudly.

"Yeah, but you look dumber then what I thought," James smirked. While Sif and Warriors Three laughed at my statement.

Thor grinned too," Anyways thank you for your help, without you these four would have gotten clobbered."

"Hmph, who was getting tossed like a doll at the start," Sif complained. After a friendly batter the Warriors Three and Sif introduced themselves to James. Thor told James about his situation, how he landed on Earth and everything else. While they were surprised how casual James was while listening to the details Thor told, but given his powers they didn't think it to be that odd.

Although James knew everything due to watching the movies, he still patiently listened to everything Thor said.

After Thor finished talking James couldn't help but ask him," Why are you telling all the details to a stranger whom you just met today?"

"Nonsense, you are one of us now," Thor replied unhesitatingly while Sif and Warriors Three too agreed with him.

'Tch, you guys are too simple minded,' James sighed internally.

"We have guests," James was about to say something but was distracted by the people running towards them. It was none other then Jane Foster and her gang Along with Phil Coulson and his agents.

"You hid a lot from us," Coulson said to Thor.

Thor stepped towards him," Son of Coul, you and I have one goal that is to protect this planet and if you want us to cooperate, return the things of Jane."

"Yeah, the things you stole," Jane complained.

"No the things we borrowed," Phil retorted. "We will surely do that," he readily agreed and then looked towards James. Whereas Thor and Jane stepped aside to have their little private chat. Whereas Phil asked James to follow him a bit distance away from the group to talk in private.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Brown. Who would have known that a 20 year old intern would have such supernatural powers," Phil said while shaking James hand. "I am Phil Coulson form Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division or you can just call it S.H.I.E.L.D. S.H.I.E.L.D. is an espionage and security organization that defends Earth and its people from groups that pose advanced technological and sometimes supernatural or extraterrestrial threats."

"Seems like you have already researched about me," James smiled.

"Its our job," Phil smiled bitterly showing that he felt guilty for doing that.

'Feeling sorry? Like hell I would believe you,' James scoffed internally while outwardly he smiled at Phil," I understand."

"S.H.I.E.L.D has a proposal for you," Phil started explaining James with respect to various benefits of joining their organization.

"I appreciate your offer Mr. Coulson, but forgive me, as I have no intention of joining S.H.I.E.L.D. I may change my mind in the future and contact you then," James said.

Phil looked visibly disappointed but just nodded his head and gave James his contact card.

'Joining S.H.I.E.L.D. is all good, as it would expose me to more battles. But the problem is that S.H.I.E.L.D is currently internally corrupted by HYDRA and joining them now would be like hitting my own foot with a hammer. Sadly, I am not strong enough to take care of them as of now, but that won't be the case in the future,' James contemplated.

"Mr. Brown we implore you to keep the matters of today to yourself," Phil requested.

"Definitely," James agreed. "Now if you would excuse me," James bid goodbye to Phil and walked towards Thor and the rest.
