Battle

"Quite a dangerous fight," James said while letting him down from his arms. "Name's Brown, James Brown," James introduced himself and extended his hand in the direction of that person, obviously going fir a handshake.

"Thor, Son of Odin," Thor introduced himself and shook my hand. "This fight is nothing, only if I had my original powers...," Thor trailed off while muttering slowly.

James had already guessed the timeline in which he was transmigrated to by the angel after having a glimpse of Thor. It was the end plot of first movie of Thor, where Odin had banished him to Midgard, i.e Earth.

James was suddenly awakened from his daydreaming and without any further ado he teleported himself and Thor out of the shop.

The shop was now completely destroyed by a beam of fire which was fired by the Destroyer standing few meters away from them. The Destroyer looked like a devil completely clad in a black armor, marching forward with an air of intimidation around him.

James could easily tell that the Destroyer was far stronger than him with respect to his physical strength. A full power punch from the Destroyer would be able to easily destroy him. But instead of being worried James was quite excited. He knew that Thor's powers would soon awaken and he would destroy the destroyer. It was immensely beneficial for James as he would be able to gain experience points from fighting Destroyer. Also due to the presence of Thor, James would not have to fear death while fighting Destroyer who was far stronger than him.

'I will definitely use this opportunity and increase the proficiency of my powers,' James decided. His train of thoughts was interrupted by Thor.

"Good ability you have there," Thor looked at me and ran towards the Destroyer. He jumped and tried to punch the head of the Destroyer but the Destroyer swatted him away like a fly.

James immediately cushioned Thor's fall and teleported themselves out of the fiery beam launched by the Destroyer.

"Why the hell are you running towards him just to get clobbered?" James asked while contemplating about his chakra reserves.

"If I don't, then who will?" Thor counter questioned James. "Its all my fault, if I just had my powers..," Thor sighed.

Thor didn't get the chance to complete his sentence as the Destroyer launched himself towards them.

James raised his hand in the direction of Destroyer and muttered 'Almighty Push,' in his mind. The Destroyer was sent back crashing and its arms and legs were twisted in opposite directions. The nearby vehicles, shops were also destroyed and pushed away due to the power of this ability. Immediately the the ability of Deva Path went into cooldown for five seconds.

James had already checked for the sign of any civilians before using ability and after concluding that no one was present he had used his ability. Now he had only half of the chakra remaining from using Almighty Push and Teleportation.

'This move used nearly 1/3 of my chakra, but its still acceptable based on the damaged it dealt to the Destroyer. I have to sparingly use the chakra as I can use the instant recovery chakra skill only two times. The ability of Deva Path is also on cooldown for 15 seconds. I just hope that he won't recover until then,' James contemplated.

"You are strong," Thor exclaimed. "But physical attacks have almost no effect on Destroyer unless he is completely shattered into pieces."

'You think I don't know that. I am just using him to increase the the level of my abilities. If my level of Deva Path was greater, I would have the confidence in dealing with him,' James thought.

"I can see that," James replied to Thor as the Destroyer was restructuring his pieces of armor. "I don't care whether it is your fault or not. Until you gain your powers, I will hold him back and protect you." James declared.

"Count us in," Four people walked towards Thor and James. James had already sensed their presence but didn't say anything.

They were Fandral, Hogun, Volstagg and Sif. Each of them looked completely battered from the fight with Destroyer. James nodded at them and focused on the recovering Destroyer in front of him.

As fifteen seconds ha passed, he once again raised his hand and used Almighty Push, damaging the destroyer and stopped him from recovering any further.

Sif And Fandral launched themselves at destroyer both embedding their weapons in the Destroyer's neck As Destroyer was about to retaliate they jumped backwards. The Destroyer instead of restructuring his armor fired a beam in direction of Fandral.

James instantly teleported Fandral out of the danger and used almighty push on the Destroyer with the remaining reserves of his chakra, thus harming him further. At the same time Hogun and Volstagg attacked him, trying to render him immobile. Sif and Fandral retrived their weapons and helped them in attacking Destroyer. Their teamwork was astoundingly good and James was also trying to fit in and attacking as well as proving support by teleporting them away from danger.

'This is too easy,' James frowned and felt a sense of foreboding. But he restored his chakra using the instant chakra recovery ability and supported Thor's friends in attacking the Destroyer, waiting for the cooldown period on his skill to end. However the Destroyer was starting to adapt to the battle pattern.

After the cooldown period ended James used Almighty Push on him further destroying his armor. Destroyer received the brunt of the attack while Sif and others made a follow up attack on him.

Unexpectedly instead of dodging or retaliating their attack Destroyer ran towards James with full speed. As James was not yet able to use Deva Path due to the cooldown on the ability, he teleported himself away from the range of Destroyer's attack.

Suddenly the Destroyer stood at one place and furiously rotated his head in a 360 degree manner, which looked kind of funny until a beam of destructive light was fired from his head in all directions.
