I can't believe he just did that. I'm not cut out for this. What am I supposed to do with his kid brother? He's definitely going to make too much noise. How am I supposed to keep him quiet? I could tie him up and gag him but that would be wrong. We both stood in awkward silence. Staring anywhere but at each other. We never spent much time together. It was always me and Jack. Not me, Jack, and his lil Joey. I cleared my throat. "So uh, come with me…Please." I led him to Jack's room and gave him some headphones and his brother's tablet to mess around with while I went to clean up my room. 

It had been some time since I had cleaned everything up and put it back in its original place. Drying everything as much as I could without making too much. I was still trying to dry everything and get all the water out when it dawned on me that it had been some time. And that I should probably go check in on Joey. I stopped what I was doing and headed back to Jack's room. Which was now empty. "Shit." I cursed aloud. It was then I rushed into the front of the place. I sighed in relief when I found him in the kitchen. He was riffling through and grabbing all the food he could find. "Thank goodness, you're still here," I whisper yelled. "Don't scare me like that kid. You want something to eat just ask." I said trying not to seem too annoyed. "Sorry, I got hungry and I figured you were busy. I didn't want to bother you."  I nodded and we both just got some food in silence. I was pretty hungry myself.  We started eating and I was trying to think of something to conversate about. When there was this loud thud and then a growl. The sound came from where the rooms were. They had finally found our base.
