Chapter 162 : Dealing with Barbossa (2)

"jack do you think a gunshot can kill me?' Asked Barbossa as he looked at the gun pointed at him

"It can," said Jack as he saw Will signalling that he had finished his job.

'Wait something doesn't feel right " thought Barbossa as he felt something was changing in his body.

Then he looked at the will location and guessed and had a terrible feeling and looked at Jack who was holding a gun.

"Wait, Jack," Barbossa said as he tried to dodge.

"Bang"

Jack fired as he didn't let Barbossa finish his words. Then a bullet flew towards Barbossa's heart and hit, leaving a gaping wound that was oozing blood.

The Blood oozed out of the bullet hole, slowly dripping onto the ground. Barbossa felt his body becoming weak, as the life force was slowly draining out of him.

Then he slowly turned his face and looked at Jack, his eyes slowly closing as he whispered his last words

"So this ... is your plan, I regret not ...kill..ing you," said Barbossa with a weak voice which is full of regret.

He looked at Jack with a mixture of anger, sadness, and regret before collapsing onto the ground in a heap.

The other crew who saw this also stopped in their tracks, as they saw how Barbossa fell on the ground motionlessly.

"What happened?"

"How did Captain die?"

"Is he playing dead?"

"No, see there is blood."

"Then does that mean our curse?"

"Yeahhhhhhh"

"Finally we are free."

The pirates were so happy that they ignored Jack's and Will's presence and started celebrating their freedom by jumping around and cheering.

Jack slowly walked towards Barbossa's body which was lying lifelessly on the ground and stood there with a blank expression. He then let out a deep sigh, feeling a mixture of relief and sorrow.

"Jack, can we go back now?" asked Will as he didn't want to stay with the pirates anymore.

"Yes "

"What about them?" asked Will as he pointed at the pirates who were shouting with joy.

"Leave them "

"Now, I will go and get my ship back," said Jack as he walked towards the boat and Will followed him.

While on the Black Pearl ship.

The atmosphere around them was eerie and still. The air was thick with anticipation and dread. The sea was like a glassy mirror, reflecting the eerie glow of moonlight. The stars seemed to have disappeared and the silence was overwhelming as if the world was holding its breath.

At the centre of the deck a man was sitting on a wine barrel, his face expressionless, his eyes penetrating the darkness. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts as if he was focusing on something else.

The pirates were all kneeling on the ground fearfully. They all had a cold sweat as they looked at him, not daring to move. They knew that the man sitting on the barrel was not a normal person.

They felt as if they were in the presence of a devil, for the man sitting on the barrel had an aura that made them tremble in fear. His gaze was so intense that it seemed to pierce their very souls.

This man is Alex who came to save Elizabeth's father.

"So where is the person you kidnapped?" asked Alex with a cold gaze and cruel voice.

"Who?" asked the pirates with their voices trembling.

"The governor of Port Royal"

"He is imprisoned in a room."

"Go and bring him here."

"Yes. Yes "

Then a pirate obediently rushed to get the governor and brought him back to the deck. The governor looked weak and his clothes were in tatters. He had a look of desperation on his face, and it was clear he had been through a lot. He was in bad shape and it was obvious he had been through a lot of suffering.

"Sir here he is," said the pirate

As the governor saw the situation, he looked at Alex with a sense of despair. He knew he was in a bad situation and he had no idea what would happen next.

But he also felt that Alex was more dangerous than the pirates. He could sense despair and fear in the pirate's eyes, and it made him uneasy.

He felt that Alex was more dangerous because he had an intense, dark look in his eyes that was almost impossible to ignore. It seemed as if he was capable of anything, and it made the governor extremely worried.

"Who are you? What do you want with me?" asked the Governor as he looked at Alex.

"Me? Your daughter asked me to rescue you."

"My daughter?"

"Yes, she is my ship "

"What is she doing on your ship? And who are you?"

"Stop talking, you will know it after you meet your daughter," said Alex as he looked at the sea and saw Jack and Will coming.
