Roland, capitalizing on the momentary distraction (and the satisfying image of a sand-filled Dino), seized his opportunity. He channeled his inner spirit energy, and Ryujin Jakka erupted in a torrent of flame. Forget a small mountain – this was a miniature sun unleashed upon the sand dunes.
The heat was so intense it warped the air around it, shimmering like a mirage in the harsh desert sun. Dino, caught off guard and thoroughly disoriented by his sandy snack, emerged from the swirling dust cloud with a roar of pain. Burning skin wafted from his exposed arms, the singed and smoldering.
Despite the evident agony, Dino, fueled by a demon lord's pride and a healthy dose of stubbornness, remained standing. His thunderous cloak crackled with renewed fury, the electricity dancing around his axe, which now mirrored the crackling energy.
"You… filthy… tourist!" Dino bellowed, his voice hoarse from the sand and the scorching heat. "You will pay for that!"
He raised his thunder-clad axe, preparing to unleash a devastating blow that would surely vaporize the isekai tourist and leave nothing but a smoldering crater.
Roland, however, wasn't about to become a fashionable accessory on Dino's demon lord belt buckle. He darted to the side, narrowly avoiding the downward swing of the electrified axe. The sand beneath where he had stood moments ago exploded in a shower of sparks and sizzling grains.
"Whoa, hold on there, sparky!" Roland yelled back, dodging another thunderous blow. "Let's talk about this! Maybe we can settle this duel with a… thumb war? Or a staring contest? I bet I can outstare you!"
Dino, for a moment, looked genuinely confused. A thumb war? A staring contest? What was this strange man babbling about? This wasn't a duel; it was an exercise in absurdity!
Dino, however, wasn't amused. He was a demon lord, a fearsome warrior, and he was being mocked by a tourist in sandals who wielded a flaming barbeque skewer! He roared in frustration, his thunderous cloak crackling with renewed intensity.
"Enough of your games, outsider!" he boomed. "Prepare to face the true power of a demon lord!"
The demon lord roared, a sound that shook the very air and sent tremors through the sand. In a flash of blinding light, Dino's humanoid form ripped apart, revealing his true monstrous nature. A towering behemoth of a Bull Demon stood before Roland, easily two and a half meters tall with muscles that bulged like boulders beneath his crimson fur. Razor-sharp horns curved menacingly from his head, and his eyes glowed with an inferno far more intense than the flames Roland wielded.
Roland, however, wasn't fazed by Dino's impressive display of demonic grandeur. In fact, a wide grin stretched across his face. "Now that's more like it!" he boomed, his voice somehow managing to project over the demon lord's roar. "A proper challenge for the gloriously frustrating master of the Den of Nightmares!"
Back in the World Dungeon Council hall, Belial leaned back in his chair, a sly grin plastered on his face. "Looks like Dino's finally seen red," he chuckled, his voice laced with amusement. "But it won't matter. That isekai tourist… he's got something none of us expected."
The other council members, their faces etched with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension, turned their attention to Belial. Mugen, ever the enigmatic observer, simply stroked his beard, his eyes gleaming with a knowing glint.
"What do you mean, Belial?" boomed a gruff voice. It belonged to Grok, a hulking orc warrior who doubled as the Council's resident enforcer.
Belial's grin widened. "Oh, Grok," he drawled, "you wouldn't believe the power Roland possesses. It's something… beyond our realm, something that transcends the boundaries of this world and the next."
Back in the sand sea, Dino, his human form crackling with electric energy, glared at Roland. "You think you can handle the true power of a demon lord, outsider?" he growled, his voice laced with a dangerous edge. "Don't be so quick to celebrate. This fight is far from over."
Roland raised Ryujin Jakka, the flames now burning with an almost ethereal intensity. "Bring it on, Dino," he countered, his grin widening. "Let's see what you've got!"
As Dino, the Bull Demon Lord, charged towards Roland with renewed fury, his fiery red hair whipping in the wind, Roland met him head-on. With a powerful swing of Ryujin Jakka, a wall of fire erupted from the blade, forming a blazing inferno that stretched across the battlefield. The flames danced with unnatural intensity, a stark contrast to the harsh sunlight of the crimson sky.
Dino, his eyes narrowed with determination, roared and slammed his axe against the wall of fire. Sparks flew, a sizzling sound filling the air as the demonic energy clashed with the otherworldly flames. But unlike any fire Dino had ever encountered, this one remained unyielding. It shimmered, pulsating with an otherworldly heat that burned without fuel, a barrier that could not be touched by mere physical force.
Frustrated, Dino bellowed a guttural chant in an ancient demonic tongue. The air crackled with raw power as energy surged around him. When the chant reached its crescendo, the ground beneath him trembled and a massive image materialized – a colossal thunder bull, its horns crackling with potent electricity.
This was Dino's ultimate technique, a manifestation of his demonic heritage. Roaring in defiance, the thunder bull charged towards Roland's fire wall, the Bull Demon Lord himself perched strategically within its belly. Unlike Dino's own form, the thunder bull was unaffected by the flames. It was a creature of pure energy, designed to bypass conventional defenses.
Back in the World Dungeon Council hall, gasps of awe and murmurs of disbelief rippled through the crowd. Belial, however, simply chuckled, a knowing glint in his eyes. "There you have it," he whispered to the stunned council members. "The Bull Demon Lord's ultimate attack. But will it be enough?"
The tension was thick as the thunder bull slammed into the wall of fire. The earth shook, sand erupted in a swirling vortex, and a deafening roar echoed across the Coliseum. This was a clash of titans, a battle that defied the boundaries of what was considered possible.
