Background

At night a car stopped at my apartment. A man opened the door and I sat in that car. Car stopped at a farmhouse which is 20km away from my apartment. 

 In the house there were only 5 servants this time, usually, it would be more than 15.

"Where is he?" I asked one of the servants.

"Sir is waiting at the dining table for you madam," he said.

I went to the dining hall.

There he was sitting eating stir-fried noodles, My Grandfather A.K.A Oldtimer, Mr. Jaydon William, founder and CEO of the country's number one media house The World Media.

"Grandpa, what was so urgent that you called and even texted me ?."

"Do I need a reason to call my granddaughter? I just needed to see my lovely granddaughter and have a chat with her. It's been a long time since we had a family dinner together, don't you think? "He said with a cute smile and patted my head as he always does.

"Usually you don't need any reason, but this time it's still a weekday and you without any reason won't call me on weekdays' '

while I was saying I heard some footsteps.

"Let me rephrase it without any reason you won't call US on weekdays, So what's the matter". I said as my brother entered the dining room. 

My brother Karl Williams. Yes, he is the one who works as secretary of Jaydon Smith.

Whom I didn't notice in the morning in the meeting.

 Back story Time:

My grandpa Mr. Jaydon William with his 2 best friends Mr.James Parker and Mr.Jun Park, created a J Group. 

This group is owns The World Media managed by my grandpa, J Wealth Solutions managed by Mr.James Park, and managed by Mr. Jun Park.

The group became the most powerful business group internationally also. 

Their Friendship was a goal for everyone. Many envied their friendship. Even now their friendship is remembered as a legendary friendship group.

Grandpa had 2 children, Lila and Leon, Grandpa James had one Kevin and Grandpa Jun had 2 Mia and Marcus. They grew like a close brother- sisters.

I am Leon's Daughter and Karl is Aunt Lila's.

"She is right, what's the matter Grandpa?" Karl asked.

"Let's eat dinner first, we can talk afterwards". Grandpa said and signaled the chef to bring the dishes.

I mostly loved Asian dishes as Aunt Mia is a renowned chef and made delicious Asian dishes and I used to eat in their house when I was a child. Karl liked Italian. So we had dishes related to many countries on the table: Tokbokki, Dimsum, Bhakri and Pad Thai for me and lasagna, Gnocchi and Cannoli for him.

After dinner, we went to the garden where we had a beautiful glass house with beautiful flowers blooming surrounding it and in the middle 1 table and 4 chairs, which will be our meeting table for now.

"Now tell me what's the matter, '' Karl asked.

"I want to retire, I want you both to handle our company," Grandpa said.

"Not now," we both said simultaneously.

"You know the reason, grandpa," Karl said.

"I know the reason, but both of you should understand I'm not young anymore and I can not work for the company by myself for the long run. I should appoint successors so that I can train when I'm still alive."

"We Understand but still….," Karl said.

"Let me finish my word first," Grandpa said.

"I know the reason why you are working as a secretary and she as an accountant. If that misfortune had not happened years back both of your parents would be still alive at this time and J Group would not have broken into parts."

He continued,

"We built this group with our blood and sweat. Whatever happened in the past was not in our hands, But our future is. If I die in the future I don't want World Media to end without proper leadership. So, my order is that both of you have to take charge. Karl, you are very good at Managing the company and Pearl is very good with Marketing and Bringing the clients. So you both together will able to keep World media at the top."

"I will not say that both should join the office tomorrow. I want to make both CEOs of the company. You both gradually should understand how the company works and within a year both should take charge".
