"This is how life is going to be for the rest of our lives," I said, looking at him.
"Scared?" he asked.
"Not exactly scared... I don't really know how to describe this feeling."
"Someone has to do it for the safety of our people. Not everyone can have a job that’s safe all the time."
I sighed. "Let's do it."
What would you do if you had two identities, two professions? .One is what our family knows, and the other is known only to a few. Managing two identities is a huge task—one as an auditor and another as an informer to the CBI.
"I hope I can manage it well," I added, feeling a mix of determination and apprehension.
