The Ring

Lucille could not believe she got out of one cell and jumped right into another one. Only in this one, she was very much a prisoner. Her hands and legs were bound with Nth metal cuffs and the walls were made of plasma. She was sure not even with Armament Haki would she be able to get out unscathed. Just then, she saw Batman, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter approaching the cell. Batman entered a code in a panel and one of the walls disappeared, letting them get in. The wall clos e up behind and the three glared at her and her as well.

"You are a telepath," Martian Manhunter stated in a matter of fact way, as if he was very sure of the answer. Lucille looked at him with narrowed eyes.

"So you're the intruder trying to get inside my head. That was rude of you, I have barely got any sleep because of that," she shot back. Martian Manhunter did not speak anymore.

"Who are you?" Batman finally asked.

"I should ask you the same thing. I had guessed military due to the nature of your suit but no military has that kind of armor. Again that injured friend of yours two floors above me. The healing he is undergoing is slowed as it should be. But, with the kick, he should have have all bones in his body broken, internal organs raptured or worse, dead. Yet, he just got into a coma. That means, you have some kind of abilities, or at least most of you," Lucille said. She had been spinning a tale to tell them for she knew that they would have looked her up and found she did not exist in any files available on Earth. They will have questions of her origins and she is going to feed them crumbs and let them come to their own conclusions. Misunderstanding will help her very much.

"You injured one of our important members and your actions have consequences," Wonder Woman stated. Lucille suddenly got up and tagged the cuffs, making the entire floor rumble. The three winced at her show of strength, Batman wondering how exactly she had gained that kind of strength.

"Tough talk to someone chained down, huh? Why don't you let me free and then try to say that to me," she growled at Wonder Woman before sighing deeply then sat back down. "Tell your friend not to creep up to girl when he wakes up. I don't know if this place has laws but where I come from, it is illegal to hold someone against their will."

"Where exactly do you come from?" Batman asked as if he has been waiting for this chance. Lucille just stared at him blankly. "We have checked every records there is, you do not exist otherwise we would have left you there instead of taking you with us."

"Where exactly is here? You have admitted to taking me but I have no idea of where I am. If you plan on killing me then you better do it fast for very soon I will give it my all to escape this place and I will leave behind a trail of blood and bodies of anyone in my way," Lucille warned them. True, she was starting to get irritated of the change in scenery and the same outcome. Wonder Wan scoffed at that while the two males continued to glare at her.

"Hn," Batman scoffed in a way that would make Itachi green in envy before turning around and was about to walk away when alarms started blaring. All four looked at the red lights, different thoughts running through their minds at the same time but wherever they were thinking came to a stop when a green light tore through the ceiling to Lucille's cell and stopped, hovering, right in front of her. Batman the turned around and his eyes widened in shock seeing a Green Lantern Corps ring hovering in front of the prisoner.

"Oh, what is this?" Lucille asked in genuine shock. She knew what it was but why was it just hovering in front of her. Then, she thought of something. One Piece had two sources of superpowers; devil fruits and willpower. Garp was at the pinnacle of willpower and right here in DC universe that might as well mean he would be the brightest star to any Lantern ring that would want a partner. She outstretched her left hand and the ring unhesitantly made itself at home on her middle finger.

Instantly, a green light enveloped the entire room, making the three league members close their eyes and look away. For a minute, the light persisted until it exploded away, nearly blowing Batman off his feet. The three turned around and saw Lucille hovering above the ground in a Green Lantern Corps suit, smiling cockily at them.

"Look at that, it seems my words came truer faster than I had planned. The question is, will you three be my first victims to villiany?" she said, making all three to tense up. Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter got into a fighting stance while Batman slinked behind them, his hands on his utility belt. "Just kidding."

She willed herself to flying upwards and she did just that, flew by right through the floor and many more before she reached outer space. Strangely, she felt that she did not need to breathe while she was there and it would remain like that as long as she had the green hue covering her up.

"This is freaky, like cocaine trippy," she said, looking around her in wonder and fascination. She finally saw the blue planet beneath her and her mind was blown away. The sheer size and beauty of the planet was just breathtaking. She would like to take a flat Earther and show her the wondrous view beneath her.

"Earth," she sighed before willing herself to fly towards the blue planet. She felt herself picking up speed, making her approach the planet in speeds that would be burning off meteors. She came in hot, the green hue protecting her from the friction of the atmosphere.

She saw trees coming in fast, making her will herself to stop and like she came to a instant stop. Right beneath the canopy of the trees were a group of campers looking at her in surprise. She waved at them before flying away.

"This is fantastic!" she exclaimed before willing two pairs of green wings materialized behind her. They flapped once and she broke the speed barrier, forming a conical shape and leaving a sonic boom behind her.

Soon enough, Lucille found herself going so fast everything beneath her was speeding behind her in a blur. The wings were flapping behind her furiously and she was sure if not by the power of the ring she would be leaving hurricane like winds behind her, leaving nothing but destruction everywhere she went. Finally, she came to a stop in front of a mountain in Russia if her memory served her right.

"Time to test something," she said. Outstretching her right hand, she willed it and a green katana appeared on it. It was 2m long and 1.5inches in width. She brought it behind, took a deep breath before swinging it towards the mountain. A giant green slash sped out of the katana, tore right through the mountain,eaving a giant valley that split it in half and going a couple of kilometres behind the mountain before dissipating. That was an improved version of Kamikaze's Air Blade but using the green lantern ring on her finger.

"Oh my gosh!" she exclaimed in pure joy. She did not expect what she just saw and it filled her with joy like no other. She looked at the ring on her middle finger, her smile even becoming bigger. "You are going to help me survive to the very end and maybe when the next universe is formed you can be my partner again. But for now, we are going to be bestest of friends."

"This is big news, like really big news and they are not good," Hal Jordan told his League colleagues.

"Why is that? We already have three han Green Lanterns, what is the problem with having the fourth?" Shazam asked.

"Our rings need to be charged after every twenty four hours. But, the ring she got was a ring made before all the others, a prototype so today. The Guardians had made it to have infinite power but in order to have it one he to have willpower like no other person. Such a person has not come to being until a few hours ago when the ring raced out of the Vaults. It was the reason for the Guardians to call all the other Lanterns all over the galaxy," Hal explained. "At least I have good news for them and the bad news is that once the ring has chosen anyone to bond with it will not leave them until the person dies or it is destroyed."

"How powerful is the ring?" Batman asked.

"If I had a green and blue ring on both fingers and then multiply it by two! That and its infinite source of power makes her a very powerful ring bearer. We need to find her and make sure she is not a threat to Earth," Hal said.

"We will look into it," Batman said dismissively but Hal cut in.

"I'm sorry to tell all of you this but the Green Lantern Corps has decided to deal with her ourselves. But good news is, due to Earth been our home, me and John Stewart will be the ones handling this. We might need help too so; Shazam, Captain Atom and Wonder Woman will be our back up. We will arrive in Earth in three days, till then, if she attacks any settlement of then the League is free to attack her with all they got. You should not hold back for she is like a child holding a nuclear powered club. Good luck." Hal's hologram faded.
