Chapter 37 The consequences.

Chapter 37 The consequences.

After Mr Arly's expression let up, and with a gesture towards the air, he spoke out towards the air, seeing something only he could see, this piqued the interests of the other leaders around the table, but they didn't ask and instead just waited.

Surprisingly, the Dune family head, the father of Salia' has been very quiet this entire time, despite gaining an understanding of what's going on.

This isn't because of cowardice, but because of sheer anger, Mr Dune has reached a point where he simply has no desire to talk, and will just show his anger through actions.

Everyone has a reverse scale, and as understood from Mr Dune's personality so far, it's not hard to guess what his reverse scale might be, but he's not just angry at the captain that fired that shot at his daughter vessel, he is angry with the Arly family head, but not just the head of the Arly family, but also Kaile.

After seeing the worried look of his daughter, along with the many other myriad of emotions on her face, that were very visible, he actually began to hate Kaile a little bit, for making his daughter show such an anguished expression.

Naturally, this kind of mindset is completely irrational, after all, what Kaile did was save his family member by sacrificing his own safety, but then again, the mindset of the father of Salia, cannot be said to be one that's healthy to begin with.

Without hesitation, and without even speaking a word, he commanded his butler to fire at the enemy carrier, completely disregarding all consequences.

Sometimes, there will be leaders like this, willing to do anything for their family, regardless of the consequences, unfortunately, or fortunately depending on who you ask, not many leaders show this particular trait.

At that moment the Arly's subordinate aboard the X countries carrier ship, who is the vice captain headed towards the bridge.

What were his orders?

His order's were simple, to replace the captain of the carrier, but unfortunately for him, it will already be too late by the time he gets to the deck.

The reason as to why the vice captain was not next to the captain, is because the vice captain was within his own deck, commanding the secondary systems, which the captain cannot do.

On board the Neutral countries carrier, the head butler waved his hand, getting rid of the written command he just received from his master, and with another gesture he commanded the captain.

''Captain, take over and destroy the enemy ship, we must not let them harm the young miss.''

Unfortunately, the butler made a huge mistake here, as he forgot to turn off the projection, so as he spoke out his command, all the other captains heard it as well, towards the end of his sentence, the butler's projection dematerialised.

The anti carrier laser batteries began to slowly become active.

The captain from the X country, by this time was still caught up within his own mind, the scene of his citizens dead bodies was playing over and over again, something shown to him as a form of encouragement, has turned into a nightmare, the trauma of this captain is still vivid in his mind, after all the reason why he is so dedicated to the X country, is because his own family was killed.

The X country used this as a means to achieve uttermost loyalty, unfortunately, it's been proven why such a decision isn't particularly a good one, as although it provides deathly loyal subordinates, at the same time, it also provides unstable variables, something that never should be allowed near a battlefield.

The captain from the X carrier, heard the last words of the butler, with anger and thoughts of the enemy escaping, he made another foolish decision today.

''Activate the anti carrier laser.'' Again sounds of confirmation could be heard from the background of the projection, however this time, the confirmation sounds from the crew members were a bit more confused instead of obedient and unquestionable.

Inside the hovercraft.

''Why did you ask for the barrier to become opaque?'' Salia asked Sophia softly, while her fingers caressed the opaque glass.

Everyone else in the room looked towards her seeking an answer as well, Sophia looked towards Eleonor and her mother and answered.

''We are hybrids currently, our human bloodline is only 1% within our bloodline essence core, that means i am more vampire and witch than human, mother you are more elf and vampire than human, Eleonor you're more dragon and vampire that human, if that's what your race was before.'' Sophia explained calmly.

Salia, not understanding how this is relevant asked again, this time however, she looked directly at Sophia, Eleonor and Emma however had looks of understanding.

''I still don't understand?''

Before answering Salia's question, Sophia gave her an unfriendly look.

To Sophia understanding, Salia is part of the reason as to why Kaile was always sad, so throughout the years, Sophia tried to convince Kaile to forget about her in order to become happier, unfortunately, she was never successful, so despite only meeting Salia one time, at the adoption day, Sophia has grown a lot of resentment towards her.

Unfortunately, Sophia has no idea about the curse Kaile's soul was inflicted by, but even if she did, would it even matter?

Before Sophia could open her mouth, Emma chimed in, as she noticed the tension in the atmosphere, and now isn't the time for any arguments to happen.

Clearing her throat to get the attention of everyone in the room, Emma answered the question on Salia's mind.

''Unlike typical Nobel vampires who need a sufficient amount of blood in order to heal a wound slowly over time, the race we all are is called Ancient vampire… Unlike typical noble vampires who can only heal with enough blood, Ancient vampires only need to be out of sunlight completely if they don't have enough blood to heal, this however, can affect the potential of the Ancient vampire if abused enough times.'' Emma explained in her natural teacherly manner, built up over teaching history.

''So he will heal then?'' Salia said softly while looking at Emma for a confirmation, seeing it, she continued to look at the sleeping pod Kaile was in, it was like the only thing she understood from that was the fact Kaile will be okay in the end.

Sophia irrationally clicked her tongue at her to show her dissatisfaction, currently Salia could just walk normally, but that would still somehow upset Sophia.

As the room fell into a silence, waiting for Kaile to heal, the hovercraft shook slightly, alarming Salia, as when the shields are up, the hovercraft shouldn't shake at all, unless something hit the shield with enough force to topple a 4 story building.

In a bit of a panicky manner, Salia waved her hand within the open square room they were in, what appeared before them was a realistic looking hologram of the outside world, and what they saw left Emma confused, Eleonor simply didn't care, and Salia had a look of understanding.

What they saw outside was the Neutral countries carrier on the verge of crumbling down, and the X countries carrier just badly damaged, but still in a better condition compared to the Neutral countries carrier.
