Chapter 14 So I really did almost die. Huh.

Kaile travelled up the stairs of his house, ignoring the constant creaking of the old wooden stairs, his head was lowered and he was lost in thought. 

He was in constant denial unwilling to see the positive, every time he thought of something bad happening to his family, anything unforeseen from practising the scripture, he felt that sadness in his heart bubble up like crazy wanting to drown him.

He couldn't take it anymore, and just needed to clear his head.

Usually to clear his head Kaile will go up to the rooftop, so that's exactly what he did.

Pulling the strap down Kaile watched as the foldable stairs unfolded, climbing up. The attic was as dark as ever, but this didn't bother Kaile as he just followed his previous movements, completely unimpeded by the darkness.

Kaile twisted the lock on the bottom of the rectangular window, he then pushed the window open so he could get out onto the rooftop, his reflection on the window looked quite pitiful.

His eyes were a bit red, like he was going to cry, his hair was disheveled from constantly rubbing it all the way up the stairs, he looked like a man that just found his wife in the arms of another.

The sun was setting outside, the sky was full of dark orange and tinges of red. The stars above were threatening to come out, the sky was full of dark clouds blocking the moonlight.

The book Kaile was reading before was left on top of the beach bench chair.

Name: Origin Human's.

Kaile opened up the book and began reading it again to get rid of all his worries, if only for just a few hours.

Before it was already explained that, humans that awaken origin essence can only choose out of three origin essences to awaken at the age of 10. Superhuman strength, Psychometry and finally invulnerability.

Once the child does that, they will have to fully understand that Origin before they can awaken another Origin, only this time they are not limited to any Origin in particular, they can freely choose from the other 7 Origins.

The other Origin's are.

Telekinesis. With minimal understanding you can at most lift up a pen and throw it at a speed a 3 year old could across the room, but with the more understanding you get, the more powerful the ability will become until at the peak of telekinesis, in the Origin understanding human realm, you could rip the turret of a tank off, and play with it like a palm sized pebble.

Telepathy. With minimal understanding, you can only touch a person's skin, and send one or two incoherent words towards the targeted person but, with peak understanding in the Origin understanding realm, using telepathy you can speak your thoughts into another's mind clearly and concisely, at a maximum radius of 100 metres.

Epithelial Cell Regeneration. With minimal understanding, you'll only be able to heal a paper cut faster than normal, and the pain will be reduced slightly. But at peak understanding in the Origin understanding human realm, if a sword pierces your heart, as long as it's pulled out, the wound will heal and you will not die. Unfortunately healing things like a cut off limb, is still impossible at this stage.

Astral projection. With minimal understanding, you have a vague feeling of a different plane of existence but cannot see or touch it. At peak level understanding in the Origin understanding human realm, you can project your astral projection through the astral plane. Astral projections are immune to all physical attacks, unless they come from the astral plane.

Remote viewing. With minimal understanding, only enhances your eyesight, but at peak understanding in the Origin understanding human realm, you can see objects in a radius of 100 metres of you in a circular range, dust particles can easily be spotted. 

These are everything in the Human origin understanding level.

In the book there are only 3 more levels, they are called Origin Transcending, and Origin Human Genesis Establishment. 

Unfortunately the book ended before the 3rd realm could be stated, only the name was mentioned however, while at the Origin Human Genesis Establishment realm, humans were basically at the universal level in terms of power.

The name of the last realm was called Genesis Human. 

After Kaile read the book he could only speculate at what level of power this kind of human could achieve, and his thoughts were a bit wild, as the conclusion he came to was, they would be reality level powerhouses, able to create life on a whim with enough understanding. 

A few hours have passed, it's now completely dark outside. The stars are out and shining as bright as ever.

''It would be amazing if I was a Origin human, maybe then I could get rid of the sadness while also stopping the worry I have in my heart.'' Kaile said out loud to himself in lament. 

''It's not impossible.'' A melodious voice was heard from behind Kaile.

Kaile eyes dilated, and his body began to tremble again. 

It looked like the same thing as last time was going to happen again. 

But just as he got up and turned around, the sight of the banished immortal type figure triggered a repressed memory in his mind.

''Arrgh'' Kaile clutched his head and fell to his knees, all the memories came flooding back into his mind, causing great pain, but at the same time it helped him to calm down. 

It's said that, for some people the more dire the situation, the more pain and stress they are under, the calmer they will become in that moment. It's like a survival instinct. 

This is exactly what Kaile is experiencing now, so when he got up off the ground and looked at the banished immortal appearance of the women in front of him, he was able to calmly ask. 

''What do you mean by that?'' The hope in his voice couldn't be hidden, but the calmness in which he asked it was a bit unhinging, especially if you compare it to what happened last time. 

Even if the woman that distain's to even stand on the ground understands his situation, she still can't help but put a small smile on her delicate light caramel face.

''It's simple really. Don't you remember what the scientist said on the news?''

''He said many things.'' Kaile's calm reply came. 

The women still smiled. She walked over to Kaile and sat down on the now unoccupied beach bench chair. 

Kaile didn't move and just continued to stand near the chair where he got up from the ground after clutching his head. 

''Do you know what the word Genis means?'' The woman asked Kaile, seemingly changing the topic, but Kaile isn't stupid enough to get angry, it seems that she wants him to understand something. 

 "Genis is short for Genesis. Genis means creation" Kaile replied.
