Chapter 13 Emma’s decision III

Chapter 13 Emma's decision III

''What? Could you please repeat it?'' The news reporter said, her voice sounded unsure of what she just heard.

Just like her and many others from home that are watching, the single thought that passed through their minds at the moment was.

'That didn't sound human just now!'

''No need for me to repeat it. If you don't comprehend the first line of the Genis scripture, every time someone talks about it, you will only hear @$#!%.''

''What a terrifying sound!'' The new reporter replied, just saying what everyone back at home would want to say.

''I assure you that everything is fine, in fact we in the Blight family believe the future lies on this Genis scripture and Genis energy.'' Mr Blight said with confidence, like he was hinting at a darker future for mankind currently without it.

Noticing this peculiar phrasing of words, the news reporter spoke her pre determined lines given to her by her boss before the interview, but just like everyone else she was clueless as to the reply given, so her shock at the next few words that came out of Mr Blights mouth was indeed genuine.

''It sounds like you're saying humanity is on the brink of destruction.'' The predetermined line was spoken.

''I'm sure everyone is aware of the Calamity class sea beasts, and I'm sure everyone is aware of the calamity class beasts that used to roam the lands of our human continent. What if I told you they are not all dead! But just deep asleep underground!''

''What!'' The scream of the news reported was heard.

And she was right to scream at such news, thousands of years ago, humanity was treated as cattle for these calamity class beast races, so to be told they're in fact still alive and not all dead. Is simply terrifying.

''Come on, turn that off.'' Emma's voice sounded, as she brought dinner to the table.

''I never thought they would tell the world this news. Wouldn't it cause a riot or something?''

Emma giggled at Sophia's question before replying, while sitting down after all the plates were in place.

''No, not at all sweetie. This isn't like some movie where everyone goes crazy, don't you think all the world leaders would have planned this out already? Why do you think students like you, and teachers like me are aware of news like this.''

''So are you saying this was all planned? Was the Genis energy something the government created as well?''

Emma shook her head before saying.

''No I don't think so, I'm sure they didn't create this energy, otherwise why would they share it with others, it doesn't make sense, if humans thought like that everyone would be rich today.''

''Then why did they expose the news?'' Sophia asked again.

''Simple, it's because they had no other choice but to, the scientist Mr Blight explained it all to you didn't he?''

'' The Calamity class beasts?'' Sophia asked.

Emma smiled and said.

''For someone so intuitive you sure at missing the bigger picture here, but I guess it can't be helped since you haven't comprehended the first line of the scripture.''

Kaile stood up abruptly causing everyone to focus on him. In panic he asked.

''Did you comprehend the first line?''

Emma shook her head.

Kaile sighed in relief.

Noticing that, Emma's decision just became firmer, not to mention the news she just heard as well. This only made her following lines more irrefutable no matter what Kaile has to say about it.

''I'm going to comprehend the Genis scripture.''

'''What! Did you not just hear that madman! His voice just turned into something demonic sounding, and you still want to mess around with it!'' Kaile practically screamed while still standing up.

Emma closed her golden eyes and just shook her head in disappointment.

Kaile felt his heartache at the sight of that, so he sat down with his head lowered.

Emma looked at her adopted son, her determination didn't waver, and she was determined to talk some sense into this foolish son of hers.

Kaile is very smart, but whenever it comes to something related to his family protection, he becomes a brainless fool.

''If you was listening to Mr Blight, he said Genis energy evolves all living beings positively…'' Emma took a break to build up suspense, just so her foolish son can truly understand her following words.

''That means, the sleeping calamity class beasts underground are no exception to this rule as well. He also mentions the sea beasts. If we now as humans cannot travel in the sea, who knows what can happen once they begin to evolve, what if they grow legs and start walking on land? Wouldn't we weak humans just become cattle again?'' Emma's voice became a touch louder at the end, as if she was re affirming her decision.

''So i'm going to take Mr Blight's words seriously and practise the Genis scripture, and i think you should too.''

Kaile still had his head down, he understood everything Emma said just now, but he just couldn't. He couldn't accept the possibility that no matter what, his family had to risk danger no matter the path they chose to take.

So he got up off his chair and headed towards the rooftop to think, he didn't look at anyone, he didn't finish his food, he just left.

''Mom will he be alright?'' Sophia asked worriedly.

''He will be fine darling, just give him some space. Don't worry about going to school tomorrow, since its been cancelled so everyone can focus on Genis energy.'' Emma said.

''What, since when did you know?'' Sophia asked surprised.

''All the teachers were informed during the school day, you should get a message on your phone after the news ends.'' Emma said with a smile.

Ding!

A notification sound was heard from Sophia's phone.

''Oh there it is.'' Emma giggled.
