Emerald Ocean

{Announcement} Got a notification about being put in some kinda promising books event or whatever which I guess could be considered feedback so I'ma get to work on this book again... Gotta finish that there last arc... My little Gieco Lizard deserves death!!! --- Inside a garden full of towering trees untold years old that sadly have inferiority complexes caused by the never ending giant tower that supports the sky that the garden sits in front. Upon the branch of one of the smallest trees in the garden, the last of it's kind of the tallest it's breed of tree was ever been able to grow as well as the oldest, sits a beautiful fairy who seems but the size of a squirrel emotionless sipping tea watching the leaves fall off the leaves of the tree as if having already given up on life when suddenly a wind passes by the eternally still garden and everything gently quakes as the infinite number of lines along the towers base lights up gently with a blazing emerald flame that is bordering on black. As if struck by a earth quake the woman falls out of her chair unbearably shaking as her eyes lock upon a thing far away in the infinitely large garden not a plant, not a tree, but the ground itself. A crazy and hopeful fire begins to burn deep within the beautiful fairies eyes as reaches out her hand and with a determined look shatters the very core of her soul sending a piece of herself out into the earth and herself tumbling listlessly into a deep sleep alone on the branch. Hope still burning in her eyes even as they slowly close and a twisted smile upon her lips. Like a bolt of lightning the core of her soul that was a part of her soul but not at the same time takes flight towards the sky circling around the crown of the small tree twice before gently bumping into the already sleeping woman as if in sorrow before flashing away faster then the eye could see reaching a distance so far you wouldn't be able to walk it in a million years even if you could travel at the speed of light and diving into the soil of a solitary mound of dirty diving deeper and deeper it eventually stops and flashes so bright it can even be suttly seen from the garden above as the deep blue light like the ocean fuses into the very core of an single solitary atom inside the soil as if slipping through a crack. Across a vast and unending expanse of sky a brilliant flash of blue light up the very core of a universe before zooming away in the exact instant it appeared as if nothing their ever mattered not the massive throne, the unending number of people fighting for it, nor the ghastly little hut that's door has never opened in all of its existence and that space has warped the top of that no eyes made of flesh has ever seen and no man has ever hoped to enter. One, Ten, A Hundred, A thousand, A Million, A Billion, an untold number more stars pass by as they begin to trail together before the light finally find a crack. Not in space, not in time, not in anything but itself simply existing like it's always existed. The space between filled with nothing. Diving into the crack without even slowly down the blue light seems to fade from existence as if it was never there. Slowly but surely as the blue light fades so does the crack before with it's last peek a suttle flash of Emerald escapes being vanishing from sight. The gentle beam of light flew out never stopping till it struck a nearby planet. As the light was absorbed by that planets inhabitants something... Awoke.

Ch. 68 Ferry Party

After a couple of hours of sitting about with Ellie of which I spent meditating... Never stop... Ellie had nothing to do so she spent a good hour or two patching up the pool area bathing then rudely interrupting my training to grope me some more with the excuse of bathing me. Luckily I can be in water as long as my mist isn't it won't be an issue. So my cloud claws didn't have to stop working the whole time carving a large canoe out of a tree then four oars for no real reason but speed. It took the longest to carve the large trunk but no small amount of time was spent searching for the wood either. After about three hours of dragging it back my cloudy claws finally finished their job and promptly became food for me. Tastes like nothing... Anywho after pushing the boat into the water and having four left over claws row it before the little little dirt/mud and stone wall/dock or dam.. hmm well whatever it is Ellie had been sitting on it for awhile now occasionally she'd try to get up and go to collect wood but I'd stop her as she'd say something about needing to make the boat eventually she gave up but when she saw the boat I made and the claws rowing it along she laughed at herself... I assume that's who she was laughing about... The ghostly pale green formless clouds rowing a boat connected to nothing is more creepy and spooky then funny.

Soon after settling down on the boat we start traveling towards the horizon across the long river having to go against the gentle drift of the water flowing down stream as we try to cross the seemingly boundless waters river. If it wasn't for the fact the water clearly flowing down stream and the fact it's not that deep I'd call this a lake or maybe the ocean? As we gently sway along I continue training with my eyes closed Ellie would occasionally take out cooked meat from her backpack and eat it between spending hours petting the back of my body... I don't enjoy it but I don't see a reason to stop it. I don't think she treats me as a pet most the time but moments like this deeply offend me... However I can't exactly say much about it. Clearly I could try writing text in my mist or clouds and she'd understand but that's just too much effort for such a meaningless thing not to mention she already knows I dislike being petted but she still does it... I doubt I'd be able to stop her for long as clearly it's for her not me.

Who knows how long later I feel my body lurching upwards as I lazily open my eyes seeing that Ellie is shakily trying not to capsize the boat after suddenly standing up. Seeing I am looking at her with an annoyed expression she extends a hand and points at the area in front of us. Shifting my gaze forward, I quickly realize what excited her. A thick mist covers a small moving black object in the distance as it flows towards us. As the black object leisurely floats towards us I wrap our boat in a cloud of mist to blend in just encase when we reach the mist around the black object we hear a fast passed happy song playing aloud across the waters the source being a large ferry floating leisurely down the river. As I get close to the ferry I reach out my mist and begin to scout out what we have encountered. Along the deck many shoes are striking the ground repeatedly feeling upwards I find something peculiar about the people. They seem a bit skinny. After getting to the knee my first thought is that appears to be entirely fake... as I feel up their leg I feel a hip bone without any hip... Feeling the pelvis I find a suspicious lack of genitals.. up above that a spine reaching upwards without any muscles or fats attached to a rib cage lacking any meat and a hollow chest followed by a spine connected to a skull... Each of the dancing figures are skeletons... Having a part dressed up in some Victorian era ball gowns and suits. Seeing the figures I begin to row the boat the other way only to be stopped. "Hey where are you going there's people. Let's see if they are friendly." With a inward laugh I go to form an image but remember we are both wrapped in clouds already... Hmm... No way to communicate... As I was trying to figure out how to warn her she has already begun to climb up the ropes hanging from the side of ferry with me on her shoulder... Hmm... Well this won't end well... With a sigh I begin to form cloudy claws on the deck of the ship and attack the skeletal merry makers in the heads. However because there are no organs or meat they have a strong defense to my claws. As they have little heft and only wind up scratching the skeletons.

Just after I have struck the music aboard came to an abrupt halt just as Ellie has climbed about half way up. A strange and deep howling sound like a blood curdling shriek of a dying woman sounds out startling Ellie as she looses her grip and falls I activate my cloud path and push upwards on her as she falls with the cloud cover from before making her gently fall onto the boat. Not able to lift her off the ground but fully able to slow her fall to a point where she won't be hurt. Sadly not enough to not make noise. All the now aggravated figures aboard the ship rushing to the edge looking for the source of the sound. Slightly clearing the space before Ellies eyes so she can see I let her see the bony figures sticking their heads over looking down from the ship at a figure I made of clouds nearby that they immediately shriek at then attack with arrows that they seem to pick up off the ground from just below the edge of the ship along with the bows to launch them. As the arrows flew a figure jumps forward from the back deck of the ship and throws a large blood colored ice spike at the figure of clouds I formed skewering it before the arrows could reach it. Luckily as we are closer to the ferry then the figure of mist we aren't spotted. Sadly the mist in the environment that is ghastly white and my green mist don't match but after killing the figure in the clouds the whole group of skeletons pause then the music starts again as they return and begin dancing but the figure who threw the ice spike looks around suspiciously for a short while longer forcing me to carefully pull our canoe even closer to the boat so he doesn't spot us. After a short while the ghostly face of a long dead man with a captains hat snorts in submission before turning around and walking back towards his cabin.
