Emerald Ocean

{Announcement} Got a notification about being put in some kinda promising books event or whatever which I guess could be considered feedback so I'ma get to work on this book again... Gotta finish that there last arc... My little Gieco Lizard deserves death!!! --- Inside a garden full of towering trees untold years old that sadly have inferiority complexes caused by the never ending giant tower that supports the sky that the garden sits in front. Upon the branch of one of the smallest trees in the garden, the last of it's kind of the tallest it's breed of tree was ever been able to grow as well as the oldest, sits a beautiful fairy who seems but the size of a squirrel emotionless sipping tea watching the leaves fall off the leaves of the tree as if having already given up on life when suddenly a wind passes by the eternally still garden and everything gently quakes as the infinite number of lines along the towers base lights up gently with a blazing emerald flame that is bordering on black. As if struck by a earth quake the woman falls out of her chair unbearably shaking as her eyes lock upon a thing far away in the infinitely large garden not a plant, not a tree, but the ground itself. A crazy and hopeful fire begins to burn deep within the beautiful fairies eyes as reaches out her hand and with a determined look shatters the very core of her soul sending a piece of herself out into the earth and herself tumbling listlessly into a deep sleep alone on the branch. Hope still burning in her eyes even as they slowly close and a twisted smile upon her lips. Like a bolt of lightning the core of her soul that was a part of her soul but not at the same time takes flight towards the sky circling around the crown of the small tree twice before gently bumping into the already sleeping woman as if in sorrow before flashing away faster then the eye could see reaching a distance so far you wouldn't be able to walk it in a million years even if you could travel at the speed of light and diving into the soil of a solitary mound of dirty diving deeper and deeper it eventually stops and flashes so bright it can even be suttly seen from the garden above as the deep blue light like the ocean fuses into the very core of an single solitary atom inside the soil as if slipping through a crack. Across a vast and unending expanse of sky a brilliant flash of blue light up the very core of a universe before zooming away in the exact instant it appeared as if nothing their ever mattered not the massive throne, the unending number of people fighting for it, nor the ghastly little hut that's door has never opened in all of its existence and that space has warped the top of that no eyes made of flesh has ever seen and no man has ever hoped to enter. One, Ten, A Hundred, A thousand, A Million, A Billion, an untold number more stars pass by as they begin to trail together before the light finally find a crack. Not in space, not in time, not in anything but itself simply existing like it's always existed. The space between filled with nothing. Diving into the crack without even slowly down the blue light seems to fade from existence as if it was never there. Slowly but surely as the blue light fades so does the crack before with it's last peek a suttle flash of Emerald escapes being vanishing from sight. The gentle beam of light flew out never stopping till it struck a nearby planet. As the light was absorbed by that planets inhabitants something... Awoke.

Ch. 67 Waking to Scars

With a yawn I crawl up noticing Ellie curled up sleeping away leaning to the side as she was to scared to turn the backpack into a bedroll last night looking down further I realize for the first time that she had been naked the night before... and didn't have enough time to get dressed. Ha... she was streaking her whole way through the forest last night. Climbing up on the backpack I dig through finding her neatly folded cloths before draping them over her like the cloths on a paper doll before looking around and sighing... I gotta dig my way out. Let's see do I got full mana again? Alex status please.

Oh it's almost capped and both my health and mana have reached the quadruple digits cool... Oh... I see why my mana is already so full my regeneration level up. With a shrug and deep sigh I let out a lot of mist that I condense into little clouds before forming them into claws that dig away the stones then push the big ol' wolf carcass out of the entrance. Stepping out I can't help but fall the the ground twitching externally and laughing internally as I see the giant stick that has impaled the backend of the wolf that so kindly protected us... Oh my god... It got skewered right up the ass... After calming down I climb back up before walking over and digging a hole that I then burry the wolf into without taking the large wood skewer my body stopping to twitch about every now and then shoulders trembling before I finally burry the wolf in respect... All respects towards the passing soul who made me laugh. After a short prayer I take a smaller wooden skewer that resembles then wolf's ass skewer and place it like a tombstone before carving "He got super butt hurt." Onto it with trembling shoulders. After it was done I heard foot steps behind me and got startled as I turn around to find the now clothed red faced Ellie standing with her hood drawn as low as possible looking curiously at the carving on the tombstone.

"Whose that tombstone for and what's it say? I can't understand those characters." Again... This lady is asking me questions I can't respond dumb dumb. With a sigh I condense a cloud before her showing her what I buried and seeing the scene the previous red face that was going back to normal turned bright red again before sitting down and writing on the wooden tombstone. "Many thanks for guarding us." With a very serious face... Oh... well I mean it didn't have much of a choice... and wait I can red her words fine as if they were my words but she can't understand my words? Alex can you explain this?

"Due to the effect of skill [Binding] it's possible to feel the meaning behind words or text that the bond write or said however it is not possible to do the same with the text itself. As such because she wasn't present to see you write the text it became illegible to her."

Interesting... So I can write her messages but she can't read my diary... I need a diary so I can curse her none stop in it and talk about railing her loved ones... Wait... I'm her only loved one... Welp I guess I'll have to fuck myself... I guess it is physically possible I have an anus but I'd have to do it with mist... Also I very much don't wish to do that... Hmm well I still don't have diary so not necessary... Ha... Crawling up onto the girls shoulder I forget about my bit. As we both gaze out over the debris field that used to be a forest. Very few trees still standing even our own not left whole luckily the roots weren't pull out of the ground so we stayed safe in our little hallow. With a curious glint in her eyes Ellie walks back the way we came following the few standing trees that look vaguely similar to our previous rushing through this area and the tint of green that my mist and clouds leave behind on the air. I've found it fades after a good day of waiting with some experiments while we waiting around the first time back when I was waiting for the hides to soften in the urine so I could properly shave off the extra bits. I was concerned at first as I seem to be polluting the environment but due to the effect only needing a day to heal I moved on. After a short while Ellie runs out of landmarks as we get to a area with nothing still standing. With a sigh I spread out my mist to recreat my mist cover due to the effect of the storm my mist was thrown around all over the place so the green alone isn't enough to find the way.

After a bit of searching I find the river again that survived. The little pool I built was wrecked though... As I have finally managed to recall all of the mist I lost to the storm and the mist around us the area clears up and I make a regular mist arrow as nothing is near us right now no real need for a defensive net. Trekking forward following my directions we see the devastation grow worse and worse to the point that in the direct path the storm passed is only soil. As even the top soil was removed along with the plants, trees and leaves. Not to mention the sparse corpses that we saw in previous days. Except for trees in the distance and clouds in the sky the whole world has become a long black scar of dirt. After reaching the river bank where the tree x I set up before is we are finally back but nothing excluding the damaged bath area remains. Looking out over the river even the fish are gone. With a sigh I make a wisp of mist that flys off into the distance and Ellie sits down on the part of the pools outer edge that is still standing and looks at the horizon before looking at me "So what now?" with a shrug I breath some more mist out and form a boat out of wood and an couple oars that ghost claws are moving in the air with a little hooded figure sitting on it. Ellie watches the little scene before shrugging causing my little body to bob up and down before responding "K." I wonder what this girl is thinking? She just goes along with any direction I pick like that makes sense... She's a human shouldn't she have a direction to head towards to get to a town or something? Was the ruins the only place with other humans she knew?
