Meeting the Crew

After waiting a few more hours, Kita finally headed to the Docks, Osritch had sent him a message telling him that he had reached, and was in the process of docking the ship.

Once Kita reached the docks, he looked around and saw the Jeager parked there in all it's might. But he didn't see Osritch around. He began to walk towards the Jeager.

From a distance, the ship looked really mighty, It stood out from the rest of the ships parked cause of it's massive size. As well as the over powered turrets.

The striking white ship with blue accents running throughout looked ethereal when lit up by the dock lights.

When Kita came near the ship, he found Osritch talking to a few people near the ship. Seeing him approach, Osritch quickly turned towards him.

"Mr. Thiels. Welcome. As we discussed, here's your ship." The man said as he pointed at the ship behind him.

From such close angles, Kita could see just how bit it was.

If Kita could remember correctly, it was around 1.4 KM long. And it had 40 decks inside, so around 150 meters tall. Altogether, it was quite a huge ship.

When Kita saw it inside the hanger a few weeks earlier, He couldn't really grasp the size of it as he had only seen it from a few angles, but now that he saw it out in the open, the size and magnitude of this thing truly struck Kita.

"Did I buy too big of a ship?", Kita thought to himself.

"I know what you're thinking Mr. Thiels. You're thinking the Ship's too big for you.", Osritch said from the side. Giving him a knowing look.

"Huh! Can you read people's mind or something?" Kita didn't think that Osritch would correctly guess what he was thinking. But the guy had managed to figure out exactly what Kita was thinking!

"Every buyer I've worked with has had one of two reactions after seeing their ship for the first time after purchase. Either it's too small for them, or Too big. Your face told me you were in the latter camp." The guy replied with bright smile.

Kita didn't bother to reply. Osritch already knew that he was right.

"Let's head inside! I'll introduce you to your crew." Osritch said as he pointed towards the ship.

"Sure.", Kita said before he began walking to the floating platform.

As he was about to walk forward, he saw the 3 people Osritch was talking with before looking at him with a smile. Kita looked at Osritch for answers.

"Oh, I almost forgot. Mr. Thiels, this here is Mr. Junta, He's the representative from Mr. Gregor. He's gonna handle the rest of the handover process." He said pointing at the guy in a Suit. At a glance, he looked like a lawyer. But in actually he was the agent on Mr. Gregor's side.

"This here is Mr. Hugo. He's the engineering head for the ship. Mr. Gregor was kind enough to give us the contacts of the previous crew of the Jeager who was crewing her back when she was still in operation. I managed to hire many of them back. Mr. Hugo is also part of them. He already know the Jeager like the back of his hand.", Osritch said as he pointed at the guy in a work outfit. From his facial features, Kita could see that he was of Oriental descent. He had a buzz cut. His built was also decent. Altogether, He gave off the feeling that he knew what he was doing.

"Great to meet you Mr. Thiels. I'm Hugo." Hugo extended his hands as he introduced himself. He had a bright smile plastered on his face.

"Great to meet you too! Hugo", Thanks for joining. Good to have someone who already knows the ship on board!

"The Pleasure is all mine! Thanks for having me." The man said with the bright smile still plastered on his face.

"And lastly, This here is Mr. Tristan. He's the head of security aboard the ship. I've managed to hire a few guards and such for internal security aboard the ship. Mr. Tristan here is their head. For anything related to security, he's your guy." Osritch introduced a burly looking guy with a beard. Kita could tell that the guy was stronger than him.

"Mr. Thiels, Nice to be of your service.", The man extended his hands.

Kita shook it as he said,

"Good to have you here."

"Well, with that out of the way, let us proceed inside. Although I'm told that you already got a tour of the ship when you were meeting Mr. Gregor. But things have changed now that she has a crew onboard. Let's go see her real face." Osritch said as he tried to build up excitement among the people.

Well, it was mostly for Kita as the rest of the people had already been on board before him. But It would be the first time Kita would be seeing the ship with a full crew.

Everyone present stepped on the Floater platform. After making sure everyone was on board, The Platform started floating upwards and entered the Open Bay of the Yeager.

"Welcome to the Service Bay of the Jeager.", Osritch said as the Platform touched down.

Kita stepped down from the platform as he looked around. There were a few people in the area performing various tasks. They were mostly engineering personnel from what Kita could guess.

"They're performing some checks and maintenance on some of the more critical systems. We may have found some issues during the trip here. So we're making sure that everything's alright.", Hugo quickly explained. It was his department after all.

The ship had been in storage for quite a while, Although Mr. Gregor had made sure that she was maintained, but he couldn't do everything. So it was expected that some issues would arise and would need fixing before going on a long voyage.

"Let's head inside! There's much to see there!" Osritch led the way.
