Boundless Gilgamesh

The first hero, the king of Uruk, is said to be destined for greatness. Not to die at the hands of a faker, a mongrel born to serve him. He felt a tug on his soul. Speculation raged; perhaps he was being summoned for another grail war. After sensing the summoning end, he opened his eyes to find.... ——————————————— This is my first time writing a story, so don't flame me too hard. Ch.2 Mongrel, you are delusional

"I am Loki, the goddess of deception." She tried to sound confident, but choked mid-sentence as the pressure increased. I focused my attention to her companion, a mongrel about 16 years old with blonde hair and golden eyes. But just as I was about to look away, Sha Naqba Imuru, a EX-ranked noble phantasm related with fate, rang out wildly.

"Come here," I told the young mongrel. She looked hesitant, maybe because of fear. Meanwhile, the goddess finally processed what was happening and seemed to contemplate her choices.

---(Loki's POV)---

I felt no malice toward Ais, only curiosity. This made me feel better, so I walked Ais over to him. Just as we started walking, another wave of pressure washed over me, nearly knocking me out.

"Only the mongrel, goddess," he said in an authoritative tone, as if a king was instructing a servant to fan his couch. When I looked over at Ais, she was standing over me, looking worriedly at me. I reassured her that I was fine and that Ais should go greet this man, to which she reluctantly agreed. She straddled in his direction, avoiding any sudden movements that might result in an unnecessary blood bath.

---(POV end)---

When the mongrel got closer, I sensed a desire for vengeance. Such hatred, especially from a mongrel, intrigues me. To think she could hold such feelings without losing her temper is truly one in a million. Such self-control and discipline could be compared to Artoria.

"What do you desire, mongrel?" I was amused because I was once like this, recalling those abhorrent gods and goddesses who only spoke hypocritical doctrines before committing genocide because I refused a marriage with Ishtar. This brought back my memory of the battles with Enkidu, and his tragic death.

"Strength," she replied absentmindedly. I locked my gaze on her, gazing into her golden eyes.

"HAHAHAHAHA, mongrel, you're delusional. You desire vengeance rather than strength. Do not confuse the two. You'll need strength to carry out your vengeance. Your hard work, not your desire, gives you strength. That is why you are duped into worshiping the god of deception. Mongrel, you exited the rabbit hole to enter a snake den."

I left right after not caring for the weak goddess still glued to the ground. I walked down the street coming to a stop in front of Hephaestus shop, looking at the display, the items are already many times better then the best in many other shops. I opened the door to the shop expecting Hephaestus to show up and welcome me.

"Welcome to the Hephaestus Familia shop," a browned-skinned, black-haired, and red-eyed mongrel greeted me at the shop. I asked for Hephaestus, but the mongrel said that she was busy somewhere else, and I'd have to wait until later tonight for her arrival. I agreed, but asked for their finest wine while waiting, which she happily obliged.

Finally, I hear the door open. I turn to see a red-haired, crimson-eyed lady carrying a stack of blueprints and stumbling as she walks. I sense divinity in her, but it appears sealed, as it did in the other goddess.

"So you're also a goddess?" Our gazes locked. She seemed to tremble for a moment before looking away.

"Let's make a deal, but first let me get rid of my secret observer," I said as I opened the GOB and pulled out a golden sword to destroy the observatory.

I held the sword back in my hand, then looked at the goddess in front of me and swished the wine-filled glass in a circular motion. She nodded and sat in front of me, dropping her blueprints on her workstation.

---(Freya POV)---

Interesting. To be capable of cloaking your own soul and destroying my magical mirror. I'm anticipating meeting this mysterious man. I'm excited to see what changes you'll bring to this mundane city.

---(POV end)---

(A/N: The reason other people don't know Gil is part divine is because Enlil, the father of gods in the Sumerian pantheon, concealed his destiny. So since I'm the author, I'm just going to say that this allows him to conceal his soul and divinities at will).

P.S. Sorry for the short chapter, and tell me your thoughts.
