Synopsis

The first hero, the king of Uruk, is said to be destined for greatness. Not to die at the hands of a faker, a mongrel born to serve him. He felt a tug on his soul. Speculation raged; perhaps he was being summoned for another grail war. After sensing the summoning end, he opened his eyes to find.... ——————————————— This is my first time writing a story, so don't flame me too hard. Chapter 1Ch.1 The beginning

I, Gilgamesh, have descended to the level of dying at the hands of a faker. A mongrel with barely any magical power, and having to rely on another for it. I felt inexplicable anger inside me, but as I felt the eternal darkness which I have felt many times before, I quickly lost the emotions I was feeling.

-----

I have floated in this place for what feels like an eternity, waiting for another summon to spice up my mundane life. After what seemed like an eternity, I felt a tug on my spirit, and I was quite excited, hoping that the mongrel who summoned me would provide me with entertainment.

-----

When I opened my eyes, all I saw was a vast forest. There was no sign of human life. I started to walk around looking for human life, but all I found was a pack of starving wolves. I spiked my aura to scare the pack away, but they lunged at me instead. I took a step back and shot a few E-rank noble-phantasms to end the fight. To my surprise, the alpha wolf was quick enough to avoid me. I quickly calculated how fast the wolf was moving and shot another E-rank noble at twice the speed of the previous one, effectively killing it.

I stood in front of the dead wolf pack, ignoring my surroundings as I attempted to absorb mana, expecting it to fail as it always did, but to my surprise, I felt a slight increase in mana reserves. This proved that I wasn't a heroic sprite, but rather a real living person who is two-thirds divine. I had already considered this when I was summoned and didn't feel a contract in place. I stood there, processing everything, a maniacal smile spreading across my face as I considered the endless possibilities. To conquer the world, re-establish my kingdom, and eradicate modern human mindsets.

-----

After a few miles of walking, I came to a large gate. Beyond the gate, I noticed many creatures with human-like features walking down the busy street. 'Weird,' I thought to myself, I've never seen such a city in modern society, and it's even stranger that there are mongrels mixed with animal blood. I approached the gate but was stopped by two guards.

"Identification," the guards stated . I took a closer look at the guards. Surprisingly, they have more mana than any modern mage I've seen. It's very intriguing. I appear to have stumbled into another world. As a result of regaining my body and divinity, as well as the strange architecture and people, I came to this conclusion.

"Step down, mongrel, and let me pass." With an imposing aura and a fierce expression, I stated. They quickly withdrew, not wanting to provoke any issues. I walked through the gates, taking in the new surroundings and stopping at any shops that caught my eye.

-----

To say I was disappointed with this new world would be an understatement. No treasures are even worth a fraction of what I have in my treasury. I looked for 30 minutes and nothing caught my eye. But every blacksmith I met advised me to go to Hephaestus for superior equipment. I walked towards Hephaestus' blacksmith shop, hoping the mongrel will have some nice treasures. As I walked my way towards the shop in the darkening street, the crowds grew denser.

"Mongrels, get away from me. I will slaughter you if you even touch one of my hairs." I attempted to walk again but sensed a hindrance in my path. I looked at the mongrel, who was approaching me slowly trying to intimate me.

"You act as if you can do anything, scrawny ass bi~" Before he could finish his sentence, multiple golden swords pierced his body, instantly killing him.

"I applaud your bravery in defying me, but mongrel, you shall still suffer the consequences." The crowd gasped, many stumbling from the unexpected murder, but dispersed quickly so as not to provoke this king again. After getting a better view of the street, I looked over to see what was causing the crowd and was shocked.

I took a battle position and jumped several tiles back. I opened a vast number of golden gates, and a large number of noble phantasms filled the golden ripples.

"State your divinities, Goddess," the street fell silent, as if the entire world waited for her response.

"It's ….."

Did I portray Gilgamesh correctly?

Is there anything I need to fix? Give me some tips.

I know this chapter was a little short, and trust me, if the story picks up, I'll start writing longer chapters.

Pokemon Alternate Universe Adventures

A man from an Earth gets the choice to start over in any Universe and chooses an Alternate Pokemon Universe. Let us see if his journey to the top is succesful and the impact he will have on his new world. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. I just use their sandbox for the plot of my MC and my OCs. This will be a "slow" paced story, in fact it's "super slow paced", so please don't expect the MC to directly start his journey in 20 chapters or so, actually multiply that by like 15. A lot is going to happen before that happens. The first 10-20 chapters or so are information heavy, depending on what kind of reader you are. I try to keep my chapter length between 2000 and 3000 words per chapter. My release rate is 4 chapter/week for now. I have a patre*n for those that want to support me with access to some advance chapters as a thank you. patre*n.com/Azrail93 This is an alternate pokemon universe so there will be differences to the games, manga and anime. So if something in the story is different it is most likely on purpose. The original sources are seen as suggestions not laws. Differences can be: Type variants, evolution conditions, strength mechanics, world building and more. If I am at some point asking for reader input I will do so but otherwise I will ignore most suggestions. So please don't spam things like catch this pokemon or do that next. I have my plot planned and external input will be considered when asked for. If I see a suggestion that I believe fit my plot flow I will use it and will credit the commentor. Comments on spelling and grammar mistakes are welcome. I will try to correct said mistakes with time. Constructive criticism will be read and considered. Insult and hate comments will be ignored or deleted depending on severity. Readers naturally can comment their dislike but one worders will be ignored. If the reason for the dislike is explained I will read it. Like previously mentioned pure insults and hate comments will be ignored or deleted. The same is true for simple hate reviews or insulting ones. Reviews complaining about something I warned about, such as the slow pace, will be deleted as well.
