I slept for the first time

In a beautiful island known as Lijiang, Mei jingjing sat on the heap of rocks playing the flute, enjoying the ancient town's snowy mountains and majestic canyons, the wonderful breeze moved with her music fluttering her long dark hair which fell past her back hiding her small frame,she felt one with the wind and her music followed it rhymithically.

Master Li Jie just happened to pass by the mountain in a luxurious looking carriage, he had left the palace to find some peaceful time alone and to view the glaciated peak when the sound of a beautiful tone drew his attention immediately.

"Stop the carriage." he said, the carriage immediately came to a stop, his ears had peaked a sudden interest in the music, he wondered whose music sounded so magical, he relaxed in the carriage to listen to it. The rider had no idea what his master's reason was for stopping the carriage.

"Shall I go ahead master?"

Li Jie shook his head. "No, I want to listen to the amazing music art piece."

Mei jingjing kept on playing with a sweet smile on her cherry red lips.

Li Jie finally leaned over the window to take a peek at who was playing such a marvelous music, his golden eyes finally landed on someone who played the flute just a few meters away from his carriage, she backed him so he couldn't see her face, he only watched the breeze flutter her long hair.

"Should I get the lady here master?"

The rider asked, Li Jie relaxed back on the seat of his carriage.

"No, it'll interfere with her music, I only want to keep listening to it."

He closed his eyes and enjoyed the wonderful rhythm of her music. The next minute, he was sleeping with his eyes closed and his long lashes resting on his cheeks. The rider was so stunned he couldn't believe it, young master fell asleep?!, astonishment was written on his face, his master hasn't slept for a really long time now, could it be that girls music helped his master fall asleep?.

Mei jingjing stopped playing and got to her feet, she stretched her limbs feeling free and happy but suddenly paused like she remembered something.

"I better hurry back now or else I'll be late and miss Huafeng won't spare me." she reminded herself and ran off.

Li Jie slept for a long time before he was finally woken up by the rider.

"Master Li Jie?"

Li Jie's eyes flutter open, he gazed at the rider, a bit confused he tilted his head.

"Did I sleep?"

The rider nodded with a smile. "You did master, I was also suprised."

Li Jie sat straight, he hasn't been able to sleep for a long time now but the moment he heard her music, he felt inner peace, something he hasn't been able to feel for a long time which made him fall asleep, her music helps him fall asleep. He stared out through the window but she wasn't there anymore, he glanced at the rider.

"Find out everything you can about that girl and report it back to me, I need to know who she is and why her music had such effect on me." he said firmly, the rider nodded and they left the mountains.

Mei jingjing walked along the street of Lijiang, it has always been a peaceful time in Lijiang but her life wasn't so peaceful. She arrived at a small cottage and took a peek inside making sure no one was around. She heaved a sigh of relief seeing no one was home, for a minute she thought she was going to be late and end up meeting miss Huafeng, but she was glad that didn't happen.

Miss Huafeng suddenly arrived startling Mei jingjing, she turned around slowly to see Huafeng staring coldly at her with folded arms, Huafeng raised a brow at the fragile seventeen years old girl in front of her.

"Where have you been?" her tone was sharp and cold.

"I.... I went out for uhmmm..." Mei jingjing wasn't really good when it came to lieing, each time she trys to think of a lie, her mind goes blank immediately but surprisingly, Miss Huafeng seemed to brush it off this time .

"I don't have time for all this, go make some food for me."

Mei jingjing nodded politely and hurriedly went inside the house hiding her flute under her garment.

Phew!, that was a close call, she thought silently, miss Huafeng was her mother's sister who took her in after the death of her parents, she could tell her aunt didn't really like her very much, the attitude and all was enough to point it out, she always gets blamed for the little things but what suprised her most was her Aunt's calm act today, she wondered why her Aunt would miss such an opportunity to scold her?.

Night had fallen and Mei jingjing's Aunt had sent her to get groceries which Mei jingjing found to be strange sending her so late at night, she took her flute and headed out, the street was lit up with lantern lights and everywhere looked bright and beautiful. she walked ahead to go get the groceries which she hurriedly did from a nearby market, she normally always fought with the owner of the shop cause he always adds extra money to the goods she bought but she didn't even bother about it this time and left immediately, something just felt off.

She walked along the lonely street and felt the hair at the back of her neck stand, she turned around immediately but there was no one there, strange, she actually felt someone was following her trail. She shook off the uneasy feeling and continued walking only to end up getting drugged with a handkerchief placed to her nose.

What tha....?!, she struggled with all her might to free herself from whoever grabbed her but it was no use, she passed out and was being dragged to a corner.
