As Zai was delivering her post-win smack talk to the Lightning, Rui was trying to walk casually toward the waiting cars with her prize.
She heard Zai say "Consider it a gesture of peace from the Jade Raven." The smile on her face was definitely the infuriating sort Rui was familiar with when her fingernail trick failed to work on her.
Rui thought the fish was a weird play, but it was funny to see Zai's opponent gaping in confusion like, well, a fish.
She was almost to the first of the black, bulbous vehicles when she felt a familiar hand come to rest on her shoulder.
"Rui did you steal that purse?" she asked.
"Xu told me to!" Rui immediately spouted off. This time, her excuse was absolutely true.
"It's true, I did," Xu said, appearing behind Zai's back in a way that made her jump.
