Anti-System: the Fallen Angel

In a magical world where Dark and Light mages are revered more than the other mages, the only forces that can effectively fight the Erovian race, an invading battle-hardened race that evolved in a way to counter mystic elemental mages. Samael, a priest's son from the Divine Sanctum of Divinity, had an affinity to the Light Element but no talent in magic. Mocked and ridiculed, he keeps on doing good even if it is through being a training dummy for other mages to test their spells. Driven by his father's good teachings and his childhood friend's support, he kept going and never broke down. He reminded himself of the three Divine Axioms: God always protects, guides, and chooses the side of good. Perhaps this is the way given by God for him to become stronger. But in the end, he was mercilessly exposed to the true evil of the world. An evil that breaks the three Divine Axioms that he believed deeply. Samael's family was shattered by evil that does sins casually, and the System that is fated to be his way to justice was stolen by the person he trusted the most. Due to this horrible event, Samael was forced to confront the true nature of the world which leads him to meet with the Devil itself where all of his questions are answered. Was he genuinely talentless? Or does he not know his true elements? Was there really a happy ending for him? Or was God fated him to suffer evil and die a meaningless death? Is God real? Or is God simply a manifestation of the mind? Is there pure Good and Evil? Or are there only those in between? Once a good man turned into a person of evil, once a devoted man of God now turned into a non-believer, once a human turned into a Fallen Angel. Follow Samael's journey of vengeance as he makes a contract with the Devil and devoted his life to the Devil in order to achieve his vengeance.

News of the Wicked Family

Samael was not going to help the woman at first, but he changed his mind.

Due to the fact that he has just killed an actual person with his own two hands, accomplishing a necessary change to his character, he decided to submit a little to his lingering innocent conscious.

If it weren't for that, he wouldn't decide to let the woman tag along with them.

Not even intending to stay for another second, Samael turns and walks away with the intent of continuing the journey. On the map, they shouldn't be that far away from their home, and the forest is starting to become familiar.

Even though they are nearing, Samael relies most of the way on Asher.

It's been three years since the last time he was here, there shouldn't be many changes in that timeframe but Samael completely forgot the way back home. Probably because of the fact that he was trying to forget this place and all the traumas that it provides.

Something that has been haunting him throughout his sleepless nights.

Just as he walks away from the place, Asher glanced back and finds the woman taking quite a big leather bag dropped to the side and using it to store any valuables that Danu and the others have on their dead bodies.

Weapons, jewelry, or anything of value was thrown inside the leather bag.

Asher was about to tell her to do that but she has done the initiative and did it herself, 'Well, at the very least she's good enough to help bring back these items. We can sell them when we reach a proper city' he thought.

For once, the woman seems to have the initiative and will not be a burden.

Meanwhile, Samael went over to the bandits that he didn't kill but restrained with ropes instead in the bushes. There are two of them, and they are already awake now and are definitely feeling an intense amount of dread.

Looking at Samael's approaching figure alone makes their entire bodies tremble in fear.

In their point of view, Samael is definitely an unhinged man that leans on the path of psychopaths. The fact that he used that kind of mental taxing tactic to ambush them despite having the strength to easily beat them shows that he's experienced in killing people.

Each of their faces was drained of all colors, the icy fingers of fear gripping their hearts.

Suspecting that Samael is an outright cold-blooded killer that wants nothing but to kill others, they were already resigning to fate, positive that the only reason Samael kept them alive was to torture them.

Both of them would be surprised if they know that Samael has never been killed before this.

"D-Don't torture us, please! I'll tell you everything you wanted to know!"

One of them exclaimed trying to desperately cling to the hope that they would've been killed painlessly instead of being tortured ruthlessly, he was so scared that he was stuttering whilst saying this.

"I- I- I- I can tell you about the woman or the buyer! Please! Anything!"

Living his entire life doing good deeds like he was taught by his Father, Samael was new to the sight of fear as others gazed at him. Usually, only warm smiles were directed to him as others adore him.

Yet, he now can feel the sensation of being feared that he never experiences before.

'So this is how it feels of being feared...' Samael thought while he kept his eyes on the two tied bandits, his eyes are calm and unmoving. 'I can understand why there are people that are crazy over being feared'

Shaking his head, Samael slowly controls his demonic energy and covers his arm.

Upon seeing this a shiver runs down the two bandits' spines as they can feel the grim reaper already grabbing their soul tightly when Samael did that, and this makes them more desperate especially since Samael hasn't said a word from the beginning.

Taking one step closer, Samael's eyes then glisten menacingly, "Speak..."

"O-Okay! S-She is a slave from the Dark Vulture Market which is holding a grand opening about five miles from here. D-Danu forced us to come, I swear we didn't want to do this job at first. But we're only the middlemen to transport her to the buyer, the Rossairin Family use their connection to attain her" the man replied hurriedly.

Listening to the man's explanation attentively, Samael frown as this doesn't seem right.

'Human slave trading? I thought it was banned by the decree of the mystic elements organization, at least Father said so' Samael thought, slavery of humans is frowned upon by the norm.

But there are legal places to buy elves, dwarves, and other slaves from other races.

Shifting his attention back to the man again, Samael then asked curiously.

Even though he decided to let the woman tag along until they reach a nearby city or town, if she brings too much trouble then he would need to rethink his decision again. 'I don't need to get involved if it's not necessary, that woman might bring trouble to us' he thought.

"Who is this Rossairin Family?"

"I-It's a family from Northburn City, quite a strong and respected family of fire mages. Since they are close with the Hailma Family, they are given an exclusive deal to get the woman, and th-"

Just before the man can finish his sentence, Samael raises his hand, signaling to stop.

The man obeyed, shutting his mouth quickly lest he would anger Samael. But then his eyes widened upon seeing Samael's facial features contorted into a malevolent one, the air around them became heavy as murderous intent radiated from his body.

It was very abrupt, and the man didn't know what makes Samael this angry.

Although the man thought that he was the cause of this, he was not. Samael was completely triggered when he heard the family name that has never left his mind, he looked down to the ground with bulging wrathful eyes.

'H-Hailma Family...?' Samael thought, clenching his hands into fists tightly.

No matter how many years it has been ever since the incident that started his traumatic life, he will not be able to forget the family that was responsible for massacring the entirety of his home and also the one who is working together with Cyrus.

Realizing the family, it was not surprising to find Samael reacted like this.

[Situational Quest has been initiated!]

In a world of evil, justice for one's self is the most important factor in life. In this life, the anti-host is the one that matters. Massacre the entire Hailma Family that was responsible for destroying the anti-host's home and committing brutality against its citizen!

Quest Reward: 20,000 Exp, 30,000 Anti-Experience, 5,000 Points, and 7,000 Anti-Points.

Quest Failure: Rewards will be distributed to every person from the opposing side.

Samael didn't even pay attention to the Situational Quest that has appeared before him and quickly grab the man by the collar and lifted him off of the ground, he completely emits a different air than before.

When earlier he was menacing already, right now he's devious in the man's eyes.

At the sight of this, the other restrained man on the side yelped in surprise, he even closes his eyes fearing that Samael would do the unthinkable to his comrade. "What does the Hailman Family have to do with all of this?"

"W-What do you-"

"ANSWER ME!!"

Gulping harshly, the man scrambles for words as his entire body feels cold.

But under the intense glare that he received from Samael, he forces out his voice to quickly answer the question, "T-The Hailman Family is the owner of the Dark Vulture Market, that's their main business and that's also why I brought them up"

Upon hearing this Samael was completely surprised, 'It's their business...?'

Realizing this he quickly lets go of the man's collar, he now knows that the Hailman Family has turned to the dark side. Something like this is supposed to anger him before, but he was glad instead.

With this, he could exact revenge without alerting powerful organizations.

Since the Dark Vulture Market is definitely an illegal dark market that sells even human slaves, there are no repercussions if they are destroyed as in the eyes of the powerful organizations, they don't exist in the first place.

"Are you telling the truth?" Samael asked, just to confirm this.

The man nodded his head repeatedly when offered this question, he doesn't seem like lying.

Nodding his head firmly, Samael raises his hand and cloak it with his demonic energy before he did a horizontal slashing motion right at the two restrained men. Slicing their necks cleanly and killing them on the spot.

[Killed a human, obtained 200 Exp, 10 Anti-Points, and 200 Good Karma]

[Killed a human, obtained 300 Exp, 10 Anti-Points, and 150 Good Karma]

Samael ended their lives painlessly without any hesitation before he turned around and went back to the road, he would rely upon this information he get from Asher who should also be as excited as him when he received the news.

It's true that Mara is the first target, but the Hailman Family would definitely be the second.

Judging from the quest rewards in taking down the Hailman Family that are quite bountiful, Samael knows that it's going to be hard for him to defeat them. Yet, he has full confidence that he would be able to.

Earlier, he gained numerous rewards from killing Danu that he hasn't explored.

Moreover, he even got a new skill that he can use. Growth is now obvious in his eyes, and he believed deeply that in time he would be able to overcome everybody that has done him wrong in the past.

'Tick tock, Hailman. I'm coming for you...'
