Preparations!

After the events of Shalltear's demise and the subsequent cleansing of all citizens in Tempest thing moved at a fairly regular pace. That was for most of the people within Tempest however as Silviana was instead working furiously to initiate several defensive programs across the city, expending millions of Magicules to place undead wards around the city and also implementing anti-mind control Aegises on every city street.

Many citizens were concerned about the actions of Silviana, worried that something major was about to occur, which it was, but she couldn't let on. With reassurances from her and her staff the citizens continued on with their lives, happy that their leaders were actually caring enough to add such protections permanently. These changes took little over two days, with the majority of time being dedicated to readying the city for imminent attack. Silviana knew that this attack was going to be more than in the anime, in fact it was going to be massive. Milim was on her side and Tempest's side, but, she had a feeling that Milim would only go after 'interesting' fights. Being her wife came with an understanding of her personality and powers, funnily enough Silviana could easily imagine Milim sitting out if the fight bored her, only interjecting in the case of danger to her or Shuna.

After implementing the anti-undead wards and the various other protections she began to work on creating temporary shelters of a magical design that would resist an anti-magic field and could be used to save citizens. This was on the third day of the week and a half she had, and unfortunately the summoned people had emerged.

...

I was standing before a small stone building of a single story height, my magicules slipping into the very foundations of the structure itself. Tethering a spatial expansion of such a nature was taxing of course but it was nothing in comparison to the sheer scope of the previous day's works. Copious wards cost a lot of magicules and thus was far more tiresome for me as yesterday I could barely stay conscious by the time I got home. I had gotten a scolding by Shuna for it but I couldn't stop, not when combat was so close. My mercenary experiences driving me to productivity in the face of staggering odds and lack of proper sleep, my meditations being interrupted in the early morning due to my own sense of urgency.

Standing there watching my Magicules slowly change from elemental forms of Magicules to the light blue of spatial Magicules I contemplated the magics I would need to place within this structure and the several other I had planned to make this day. So far I had already spent 500,000 Magicules just in the creation of this quasi-demi-plane. Intruder detection, Oxygen Production, Food Supplication, Water Generation... So much to do and so little time. Even with this being a great idea for safety of the citizens it was also taking time away from possibly creating new forces, amplifying our army with magical items or even just informing the people of possible conflict. Yet, my mind would not let me slip this detail, as if it was the last line of defence of the entire nation or something. It was paranoia no doubt, that or anxiety at being in a battle again, especially after being killed within one before I reincarnated.

A crackle of thunder above the sky of Tempest didn't bode well for today's weather as the screams of several people in the distance alerted me. Rain began to drizzle down as the magic I was casting finished, the permanence of it secured and ensured. In moments I used my Super Speed, reaching speeds close to the Flash from the DC comics I had read in the past. Nothing close to light speed but still very fast, so fast in fact that the area where the screams had occurred was just beginning to become chaotic when I arrived. My eyes beamed a golden hue as the three troublemakers had finally appeared, all of them looking narcissistic and greedy for power. Wind pummelled the entire city street as the woman of the trio was laying down on the ground, her fake-tears slowly sliding down her face into an ugly amalgam of snot and water. Luckily the rain was clearing it fast, otherwise I would have to get rid of her to cleanse my eyes of such a sight.

"Oi, Oi! What is THIS! YOU JUST PUSHED OVER AN INNOCENT WOMAN BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T WIN IN AN ARGUMENT!?" The pseudo-intelligent member of the trio made a massive scene, many human merchants and travellers coming over to view the spectacle, along with many citizens of Tempest, the lambasted Goblin Rider under Gobta recoiling in fear and repressed feelings of anger, his voice trying to cry out that he didn't do it but being smothered by the loud mouthed outsider. He was sitting like that until Gobta and some other citizens walked over to help, the respect for the military very prominent in Tempest.

"LOOK!! See! They don't care about us Humans! They just wish to use us for our money and exploit our emotions to gain profits! THEY EVEN HELPED UP THE MAN WHO HIT A WOMAN!"

I couldn't take the bullshit anymore and stepped forwards, my magicules pressing down on the space, oppressing the three and everyone else on the scene. Instant silence was had by every side as all of the Citizens cried out my name, the Humans bowing slightly as they knew my position and how I had effectively made the country from the ground up, a 1st generation 'ruler' or leader.

"Enough of this grand standing. That man has done nothing to your female companion." The men's faces warped nigh-on imperceptibly as they began to open their mouths, however, before they could speak I spoke.

"And, before you speak your drivel, perhaps you should speak to your masters within the Falmuth Kingdom." Their eyes widened as the Humans in the surroundings looked at these people with intrigue and scepticism, their visages all but shattered underneath my words and the lack of a denial to such a statement. Seconds passed like this as well, until one of them scoffed, the one with a shitty attitude and spiky hair stepping forwards.

"Just because we serve the Falmuth Kingdom does not mean we should be treated any different! Your soldier's actions were going too far! To even strike a woman! How lowly are they?" Many humans murmured, not necessarily believing what he was preaching but definitely taking it under advisement. One such person was Youm, a man who also came from Falmuth but was part of the adventurers guild. I made note of his appearance, my eyes shining lightly as I had many plans for him in the future. Just like in the original anime I would blame the massacre of the soldiers and forces on Veldora, using his reputation as a shield for the actual happenings, with such a set up I could influence Youm towards becoming the new king of Falmuth. A puppet would be useful internationally and would ultimately increase the trade connections as the two trade hubs of the continent merging into effectively one force would boost our nation to new heights. This was all good, but I had to say something.

"I saw everything that happened with your female companion, especially that part about blaming a relatively high member of society to pin blame to and call on the emotions of the humans within the city... It is an interesting idea, but you see... You failed to take into account one thing... I don't care about your little plots." My magicules intensified, the whole 10,000,000 Magicule Points bearing down onto the space immediately around the three, their eyes widening as they knelt down. This drew some gasps and anger from some Humans but I ignored them.

"I respect everyone until they spit in my face, or the face of my people. I do not care for skin colour, race, species or any other factor... I simply ask for respect... Since you are not here for cohabitating with our people and the others around you, you can fuck off back to your useless masters." I snapped my fingers and teleported them away, a blue thorned rose emerging in space before them for a few seconds until it disappeared along with them. Everyone had their eyes widen and were worried, I had just technically decline servants of a king. Diplomatic taboo had just been conducted and yet I was serene.

Many humans were unphased by the idiots before but some were disgruntled and a little worried, their expressions turning paler as the idea of conflict came to mind. Speeding off I saw many of them, in future, leaving Tempest back to their home nations. 'Good riddance.' My mood was sour but also propped up by the roaring clap I received from many of the Goblins, Orcs, Kijin, Lamias and Demi-Humans. I nodded at the crowd before walking over to the blamed goblin, his expression thankful and happy that he had received help. Unlike Rimuru I was not naïve and had taught the people of Tempest that you should do unto others that with which you would like dealt. Essentially meaning, don't be a dick to others unless you too want to have someone else be a dick to you. They got my message very quickly funnily enough.

"Silviana-sama!" The cheers continued as I healed the previously blamed Goblin, patting him on the shoulder before turning to Gobta.

"They never get anywhere near the city again, okay?" He nodded seriously and was about to leave before I grabbed him magically, forcing him to stay for a few more moments. His eyes were wide but he payed deep attention, as if his life was at stake, even though it wasn't.

"Calm. I am not hurting you. I just want you to look out for any soldiers from other nations. On horse or just in armour, I want to know if you see any." His expression tightened but he nodded with intensity. Letting go of my magic I looked at the man he had become and smiled, my 'Master' had definitely forged him into a disciplined and formidable person.

"Yes Silviana-san! I will be on the lookout!" Saying that he quickly ran away, his armour clanking as the katana on his side slide up and down on the side of his thigh. Many people had broken off from the spectacle now, some merchants going back to trading and bartering whilst other members of the public went about their daily chores. The timer in my head lowered by a lot, the seven days I had before shrinking to a worrisome four.

'No going back now...! May as well go full out... FUCK IT!'
